I own a GTX 1060 6GB which only cost me $140 during the price spike. I have an old GTX 1050 4GB I scored for $150 two years prior. So I scored pretty good considering prices yo-yoing over the past few years.

Definitely not surprised at all by the list. I’ve bought the 970 and 570 within the month to upgrade a friends build and a flip sale. Such good price to performance. The 1070 is very appealing as well but I understand the video was about GPUS for $100. Keep up the great videos.

Nice info. Seeing the dual 6 pin power connector on one of the cards I was guessing it was going to be the gtx 980, but agree you really need to be sniping to get one under £100. However when you mentioned the 980 you showed an auction for the 980ti and if that was under a $100 it would slaughter everything mentioned but currently it's more like $140-160.
Careful sniping of the gtx 1070 can occassionly get it under 120 but it tends to sell much higher.
I bought a 1060 6g for 90$ about 2 weeks ago and was worried I pulled the trigger too soon, I’m glad to see I pulled it at just about the right price I’m pretty new to the space
It's insane how cheap cards are nowadays. I just won an auction on a 1070 for around 100 USD, which is simply insane. Also with minecraft as a benchmark, often the minecraft engine itself is a bottleneck instead of the cpu/gpu, which (depending on things like versions and optifine) can mean you might not see big differences in systems between $100
too bad because I live in water mexico, that shit either doesn't ship, or has a shipping fee that's 100 dollars
Maybe $250 would be a good place to check out next, plenty of options there from the latest releases as well as previous generations
i got a crazy deal on an rx 580 on ebay for only 40 dollars it wasnt ever overclocked or used for mining he said it was broken but all that wasnt working was there was an internal wire unplugged and it worked perfectly after plugging it in
It's getting more and more common to see the 1060 6GB or a 980 for under $100, but yeah... that takes more than a little patience. Give it a couple of weeks and and I think the used market is going to get a lot more interesting.

About a month ago I bought a rx 570 8gb for 128$ off ebay and very happy about my purchase
Was absolutely expecting the GTX 970 but not the other cards
I just picked up an RX 570 on eBay for 77 dollars, gonna throw together a flip build and make some cash.
I got 2 rx 470 8gb models for $130 the other day they were mined on but work totally fine
what wattage of psu would you lot recommend for the rx 570, On the cheaper side, without losing too much performance

I mean the r9 380 and 390 are also some quite good under 100 USD bang for the buck gpis although they don't have drivers support anymore
🏀 6700XT price to performance king at $400. Great for mid-range builds or go all out at $680 with a MSI 6900XT which is the higher end $ king.

Best for gaming perf/watt would be 1060 3g with 120watts max while gtx 970 is following with 140watts and rx 570 with 150. id suggest just go with whichever is cheaper on your country

The RX 570 is a great choice, for both gaming and mining. With Ethereum's merge hopefully coming in September, the 570s will be crazily abundant and available at much lower prices.
Personally, I think a 6700 XT would be a great GPU to go in the test bench.

I've got a 1060 6gb I picked up 6 months ago for $125. I've recently upgraded my cpu and motherboard with used components and it's ok for now but i see a 3070 or better in the next few months.

I bought a i5-9400F CPU a few years ago and later bought a faulty GPU (Gigabyte RX580 8GB) from Amazon where the seller mislead me by listing it as used good condition but it should of been used parts only or below working? I paid 300 dollars for it 2 years ago when the market was still bad for parts to buy at the fair price it used to be before the Covid/tech craziness took over. I'm going to have to repaste and repad it and maybe if that doesn't work I might even have to reflash the GPU bios for it to work in games. It works as a display adapter at least just crashes out of games with artifacting red and blue before it quits back to the desktop. I think it might of been a mining card or something but I'm kinda pissed I got ripped off like that. I'm basically stuck with it now and wouldn't get my money back anywhere close to what I paid but I am going to attempt to fix it myself or if I really have to, find someone who know how to fix components like a GPU or board level repairs if it's really that bad. I've been putting it off because my life has been so hectic but if I find the thermal paste I bought to fix it and now just need to figure out what thickness pads I need for it to be properly fixed. If someone can point me to someone who can help or outright fix my GPU that would be sooooo awesome and I'd be forever grateful because I'm stuck using my 3500U laptop that can only game at 720p and lowish settings at that. I have 16GB ram though but a H310 or whatever H series board for 9th gen Intel so it's not overclockable as far as I can tell but I just want my rig to function properly at this point and don't care to overclock right now anyway. I'm thinking it might be better to just sell my tower to build a more modern one but I can't really afford to build a newer system right now. Sorry for this long post but I'm so sick of having a system I built just not being utilized like I know it can.

Bought a 5600xt 6gb itx card labeled as not working that I’m pretty sure was a driver or pcie issue on the persons computer. Claimed fans spin on it but gets no output, but didn’t do any troubleshooting on it. I figure at $115 it’s not a big loss if I can’t get it working.

🏀if you do little bit of deal hunting everything is possible, i found gtx 1070 for just 50 USD ! thats very POG deal, btw i think that 970 is slow bcs of one memory that is slower than others so if you go with the vram more than 3.5 gb you will see less performance than on 3 gb

I'd check the temps on the 970. It could be that the cooler needs to be re-pasted and the thermal pads replaced. It was looking a bit scuffed from the side, and timespy is going to heat up those cards more than the other games which means you're going to be getting lower clock speeds.
WARNING BEFORE YOU BUY! I have the exact 1060 model shown and it doesn’t perform as advertised. Some of the games he displayed were cpu heavy games and the high fps was due to him using a 12600k. If you’re making a budget pc don’t expect the same results.
