I had an Ally, it was garbage and I went back to my LCD Deck almost immediately after owning it, going to sell it and upgrade to an OLED Deck

My newer monitor is better I will admit but not in terms of it being a 1440p, but I can't turn the brightness down any further on it and it doesn't seem to have the ability to turn off the "blue" light (or I can't find it in the settings) like my slightly older acer one does that's also less bright. And if you have light sensitive eyes you go for the less bright option, even if there is a slight bottleneck in performance. My acer monitor is able to use free sync, is 1080p, it's refresh rate can go upto 120 Hz. My GPU is a Radeon RX 550 and my CPU is a Ryzen 7 1700. It was pre-owned but it gets the job done all the same. Over all my biggest bottleneck of building a new pc instead of having a pre-owned one is my wallet, but hey at least I have one that works for now.

Wanting to have a goodlooking computer makes sense for the same reason it makes sense to want your furniture to look good. They're physical objects that are going to sit in your home. That being said, PC aesthetics are incredibly narrow. If you're not into the glossy, flashy neon thing, or think it'd look weird in the context of the rest of your home, then the basic office junker look is kind of all there is.

As far as I know is that 1Mhz = 2 MT/s For example if you are buying a 3200MT/s you are buying a 1600MHz RAM. It's like that buying behavior where consumers aim for extreme numbers because they think big numbers means major performance increase. But I may be wrong about this just correct me if I am indeed wrong
