7600 goes down in price so easier to get into AM5 Plus all the AM4 stuff stuff gets cheaper. From what I've heard you can get 3600 for 83 USD new iirc.
Cpus are pretty much indestructible these days (not mentioning the conectors). I think having the motherboards being made for a long time is just as important in case it fails

I’m still on the LGA1151 socket and waiting for a reason to upgrade (I added a 3070 around 3 years ago). AM5 looks promising and I’m thinking of getting a Ryzen 5 7600x as that seems to be the best price to performance and then wait to see what the 9000 series has to offer. If you have other suggestions please do reply 👍 haven’t yet made any purchases.

5800x3d released in 2021, 7800x3d 2023, 9800x3d maybe 2024 but i doubt (more sense would be 2025 to be released)...but if they rush 9800x3d for 2024 instead of 2025 ...than it means something bad
I initially went with a 7600x just to get myself into am5 with the intention of upgrading down the line. Surprisingly this thing handles everything I do just fine. I honestly might just wait for zen 6.
Hello Zack. I have a problem. My MacBook Pro 2019 (running windows with bootcamp) is overheating to over 100°C. I just open a game (usually Minecraft) and the temperature goes up immediately (GPU and CPU around 20-50% load). Do you know any possible solutions for this. Thanks :3
Even if the rumors end up being true, I feel like there are going to be some great budget deals on the 7000 series AM5 CPUs, so yeah, might be a good idea to hold off if you're not in need of a new PC right away. So, yep, you could be right on a few levels.
AMD going by a 2x number increase each generation is making them look a lot different from Intel, but that means they will now go into Ryzen 1100 series..huh..what will the next name be?
We aren’t anywhere close to that point. The 7800x3d is the best gaming cpu on the planet right now. If they go with the same release pattern, the x3d CPUs won’t be released until a full calendar year after the 9000 series launches. So say ryzen 9000 is released June 1st 2024. If they follow the same release schedule, the x3d CPUs won’t release until like July 1st, *2025!* It’s pretty safe to assume the 7800x3d will stay the top gaming cpu until 2025. As it’s unlikely ryzen 9950 will out do the 7800x3d specifically in gaming. So… wait if you want... It will likely just get you the same cpu you’d get right now… maybe a bit cheaper.
Question: I play only Minecraft on my pc. I usually get 100-300 FPS, on max render distance with optimization mods but when i generate new terrain it starts freezing. Lowering the render distance doesn't make major difference. My specs: 1070ti Ryzen 5 3500X 16 GB DDR4 Apacer Panther AS350 120GB 1,5TB Hard drive What should i upgrade? If it's SSD then how does it compare to AMD Radeon R3 R3SL240G, based on my needs? I've compared the specs and it seems kinda ambiguous. Also i'm planning on reinstalling Windows so, as far as i understand, changing the SSD wouldn't be a big problem.
ignore this. there is NO issues with the AM5 sockets. Just because a new gen comes out doesn’t make the previous gen bad. it’s just not the newest. I have a 7800xt and a 7600x and it’s a VERY capable CPU. You’ll be fine
I've got a pretty nice pc right now, atleast for the games i'm playing, although i could upgrade to a better gpu, since i've got an rx 470 and it had a couple problems. First, its usage temps were spiking like crazy even when you were just standing around idle in a game. Second, this gpu is pretty frequent to crashes

7800X3D is the current gaming champion while 7500/7600 is the best value current gen CPU.
