    It’s not that there was no DNA; it’s that what they have is useless because Grant Amato was living at the home before it became a crime scene. Unfortunately, this makes his DNA circumstantial.

    Jason is bad ass. The composure he had on the stand after all he had been through is amazing. He is so articulate and he's a better person than me saying he still loves the brother that killed his family. When he said he wants to protect his girls so that nothing can hurt them, it made me tear up. He likely has PTSD and some survivors guilt and must worry about his loved ones a lot. I hope he and his family find peace.

      Depends on the physiological issues. I have anti-social personality with dissociative tendencies. Which causes me to be almost incapable of forming emotional connections or feeling sympathy/empathy. There’s maybe 3-4 people I associate with that I actually care if they live or not. All that being said I have absolutely no thoughts nor desire to do anything to harm anyone. I just feel more comfortable being alone, or having animals with me. Grant Amado, Joel Guy Jr and Chandler Halderson are not human. They’re the worst of the worst. Their parents supported and loved them. Their parents all tried with them. They weren’t abused. He kept it past tense 95% of the time, like they were already dead, how would he know that though? They give it away little by little without even realising it. The way he talks about them just shows he’s trying to defend his actions to himself, totally trying to make his reality true.. it’s crazy how they will just talk after they just took lives too….chilling

    Grant, what nightmare. They say narcissists/psychopaths have both genetic and environmental factors. The environmental factors here were, instead of trauma, spoiling or enabling. Im not saying that its his family's fault, no. How were they to know that they had a narcissistic/psychopathic child? Their parenting worked perfectly well on the normal boys. But Grant interpreted everything differently because of his lack of empathy and self. He needed to fill that void inside himself. And when what filled him was taken away he raged. This is what scares me most: people who are depending on something that I cannot comprehend, whose personalities are false 'just to fit in'. These 'things' who look like people but do not act like them. Ive met enough already and I do not want to meet another.

As a 30 year old man he has physically threatened his mother, alienates our children from them (they see the kids through me) and yet his car has issues and he runs to his daddy to fix it. I just wanted to touch on the part at 45 mins in where yall say that the detectives don’t know what anime is, cam models, etc… this is a tactic used verrryyy often to make the suspect think they are the smartest ones in the room. Usually used to get the suspect to keep talking, make them comfortable and then they usually over share because they think the detectives are too dumb to see the truth.

    “People don’t think the cops can help you, but we really can.” 😂 Yeah, ‘help’ you go to prison. If a cop ever says that to you in an interrogation room, stop talking immediately.

    It seems like Grant was addicted to Sylvia. He stole and manipulated everyone around him to fund his Sylvia addiction… and eventually that led to him murdering his family as well. This is definitely a bizarre case and my thoughts and prayers are with the surviving family members and friends that lost their loved ones in such a ruthless and heinous manner.

    That impact statement from Jason at the end;
    “My uncle, who was sorry he wasn’t there to protect his little sister”
    That’s the part that utterly broke me. Being the oldest brother of two sisters, I don’t know what I would do if anything happened to them.

    Wow. This video was really well done. Those statements at the end had me in tears. It’s sad that I can watch these normally as informative and don’t get so emotional, but this really hit hard. They sounded like such amazing people. I live about 30 minutes away and, as a paralegal, am familiar with this judge as I’ve had her on cases. I’m surprised I hadn’t heard of this case.

    I've seen a couple other TC episodes of this case! It is truly tragic that Grant didn't appreciate that he already had the most loving parents and brother. He has to be suffering from a mental disorder that made him believe the girl in the video was his true love. What he did was such a terrible waste of human opportunities and services to their families, friends, coworkers and strangers. Grant deserves to rot in jail.

  • @ginagrifffin

    They have to interrogate like they dont know a single thing so they can get the complete perspective of the person being interrogated. They need to know what a "cam girl" means to him essentially. I feel bad for Jason, his impact statement hit the hardest. His genuine upset from the very beginning says everything, he was not involved. Grant came off entitled and selfish from the first second they interrogated him all the way to not having gratitude for his life being saved. Its the entitlement, he expected it in the same way he expected his family to enable and bail him out. Really glad the jury went the way they did, I was concerned for a bit there due to the lack of evidence.
