    Tengo una pregunta, qué pasa si durante una interpretación un interprete usa una palaba no muy apropiada pero de inmediato la corrige, eso se considera un fracaso en la performance del profesional?? Otra cosa que me precupa es que a veces usan nombres de organizaciones o siglas y uno no sabe qué carajo significa, a veces que uno se valga del contexto.

    • @Interpretyourworld
      @Interpretyourworld  Pƙed 8 měsĂci +1

      Nunca se considera un fracaso si corriges tu error y logras que ambas partes se comuniquen correctamente. Si dejas a las dos partes sin entenderse entonces si es un fracaso. Siempre hay que pedir una repeticiĂłn o que te expliquen siglas o nombres de organizaciones que no conoces. Saludos.

      @@Interpretyourworld AS STATED ABOVE, this is not a realistic scenario where a provider would just give long sentences without pausing so that the interpreter can accurately Interpret. The truth is THAT THIS VIDEO IS NOT REALISTIC, NO ONE WOULD GIVE A NONSTOP LOOONG SENTENCE WITH A LIST OF MEDICAL WORDS!!! in reality a provider will pause in the middle so the interpreter can interpret correctly.. INTERPRETING IS NOT ABOUT BEING CHALLENGED WITH LONG SENTENCES, but it is about helping the patient , and that is teamwork between the provider and the interpreter.. THIS VIDEOS ARE NONSENSE

    • @Interpretyourworld
      @Interpretyourworld  Pƙed 2 lety +4

      Sir, this is a medical interpretation practice video. To even attempt these videos you should have a general interpretation course and a medical interpretation course completed. If you do not have these courses, you have no business trying to interpret these videos. Most interpreters will get the long sentences after a single repetition; some will get it without a repetition. If these videos are too hard and they discourage you, I would suggest you either, a) get some proper training, b) get more practice or c) consider a new profession.

    • @guslopez7807
      @guslopez7807 Pƙed 2 lety +1

      @@Interpretyourworld thanks for the advise.. but in reality no provider will be so inconsiderate to give a 10 second sentence wit a list of medical words. And yes , these long sentences can be interpreted when taking appropriate notes by the interpreter, specially the list of medical words. I have tried it and is possible. :)

    • @Interpretyourworld
      @Interpretyourworld  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      Either you are really lucky or have never had to interpret a consent for medical surgery. There are ruthless (they have great expectations of the interpreter) doctors and nurses out there, they machinegun you with vocabulary and long segments. What do you if you have only been training with short sentences and minimum vocabulary?

      @@Interpretyourworld Gracias por vuestros vídeos de pråcticas, me ayudan mucho para el trabajo de intérprete médico. Por cierto una pregunta: hay alguna forma en el protocolo del intérprete médico de decir a los profesionales médicos que has "llegado hasta aquí" con las anotaciones del paciente cuando no te da tiempo a pillar toda la información en pårrafos muy largos?

    • @user-vz3fh6oj7d
      @user-vz3fh6oj7d Pƙed rokem +1

      Recientemente, estoy trabajando cómo intérprete médico de video. Pero apenas empiezo. Yo sí les digo a estos profesionales médicos que "Please give me shorter segments of information to ensure accuracy." Hasta ahora, algunos lo hacen y otros no. Depende del proveedor médico. Dependiendo de cómo me vaya decidiré si me quedo cómo intérprete o mejor optaré por una carrera como traductor.
