    alright explanation but i suggest to lube all splines....and that nut needs to be tightened with a torque wrench not an impact...the axle is what loads the wheel bearing...its important to be properly torqued

      Absolutely! I'm fighting the rust in the splines, right front. Haynes book says 118ft lbs on axle nut iirc.
      Lower A arm ball joint nut is something like 27 ft lbs, then turn 180*.

    Would replace axle retainer and use copper never seize both ends of axle spline .

      If you are talking about the ring that he discarded (first appearance around 4:00), I accidentally discarded mine, too. What purpose does it server and how big a deal is it?
