The INSANITY of Managing FC Barcelona

- In the 12 years since Guardiola, there have been seven managers at FC Barcelona. Despite the club's respectable trophy haul during that time, most of these coaches fell short of the club's illustrious legacy while those that came close left in unremarkable circumstances.
Xavi hit the nail on the head when he called managing Barcelona “an impossible job". The stress and fatigue had pushed him to express his desire to leave the club in the summer of 2024, echoing the sentiments of nearly every manager who has been in his shoes.
So, Barca will bring in a successor to Xavi, who will bring fresh ideas and, ideally, start with a clean slate. However, it’s highly improbable that he will be immune to the same challenges that have plagued previous managers.
Why is this the case? This is the insanity of managing FC Barcelona.

Hardest job in club management?
Yes
No doubt about that!!! Yes.
Of course ⚡🥶🐺🌩️🌩️⛈️⛈️
The club culture needs to change for sure, amongst many other things. Expectations need to be kept in check. The fanbase and the higher ups would be ludicrous in thinking that the team should be able to compete against Real Madrid's stellar squad, which will only grow stronger with the signing of Kylian Mbappe.
We always went head to head with Madrid since 1900s
That's never happening yes we need to change our DNA a bit just some Modern touches here and there
At the Core we always be Barça that's never changing WHATEVER HAPPENS
Storytelling is on point 👌 Also Xavi's job is still on the line despite his confirmed summer departure. The sacrifice of managing a top club.
Excellent video mate
Appreciate it! More to come.
Love your storytelling
This was a great video can't believe it only has 1k views and 7k subs.
Just call football meta I'm sure he could do well
😂
i can being their manager too😂
Etoo was a prolific starter in Pep's first season and ended as top scorer for the club.
I think culers should be more supportive of their manager and players than expecting quick results. Also club should prevent their staffs and players from being prone to social media attacks. If you can take it then okay it'll Bolden your attitude. But then also there should be some kind of filtering to keep them safe from mockings and jeers. It's easy to whistle from gallery but not that very easy to slot the ball into the net on the pitch
Good analysis but there are certain key points you got wrong. Laporta is not the stubborn one, he himself said that the club needs to change ways in recent interview somedays ago. Also Araujo is not for sale as is already been clarified. Yes maybe kounde or christensen will be on market but considering the situation and rise of Cubarsi doesn't seem like a bad decision.
You can't bring up things and drop names like Ronaldinho, E'to, and being Catalonia. btw, most teams love legacy, it the board, the patients of the fans, board, it's been a long time since franco, the capability of a couple of coaches since pep and tito
Managing the best Club in the world mustn't be an easy job
Eto'o started 46 of his 52 games and scored 36 goals including 1 in the cl final in 08/09 which was Pep's first season. Are you daft? Please do proper research next time.
I was about to say the same thing 😂. Etoo played a crucial role in the 08/09 season
@@adolph4267 seriously bro lol. And this man had the audacity to say etoo spent most of the season on the bench lmao. Also Pedro didn't even break out that year.
No reason to be rude about it
Na he deserves it@@niklasbirksted8175
As soon as they announced Martino as coach. I knew right away they weren't gonna win anything. The old players at MLS are constantly bailing him out. And don't get me started on Pique 😂
Pressure is there cuz the debt of the club
I don’t think Barca fans are looking for much all they want is to see the team paying well and giving everything in the big games but we’re not even seeing that, we all know football is hard but you have to atleast give it your all and we’re not seeing that
Did this guy just criticize Laporta for signing Ronaldinho?😮
Ill manage barcelona
Lee and expectations are even higher at bwyern and Madrid so why can't the majority of Culers slow down so we can have a coach who works in peace
What’s wrong with signing Ronaldinho ?
His reputation undoubtedly preceded him, and he was stellar on the pitch. But he was often a bad influence in the dressing room and that impacted the team dynamics.
Luis Enrique was successful not playing the Barca way
Certainly, Barca should have kept him. They should embrace other playing styles if they work.
@@FrontPageFootball I'm a Barca since young Messi.
To me, the Barca Way has passed it's time since 2014. We lose to very physical team(s) in the ucl games. Bayern always destroys us.
This just saying this I'm still waiting 3 can on back. We have players for it. Hoping for jurgen klopp to come in.
Lastly, Barca needs to change.
Furthermore. I was like this was much need . This video was WELL informed and detailed.
Gotta sub👌
@@gacielcaro5351Bayern didn't destroy Barca during it's era of dominance. Pep's Barca gave them 4:0 at Camp Nou and drew 1:1 at Alliance Arena. Go check the stats again. Bayern flogged Tito's Barca and other subsequent managers.
The Fans are Spoiled 😂.....Yes we are 😂
Its not that barca is doing bad its just madrid is doing better 😂
Barça has more than 99 throphys not 70
Tata Martino win Copa del rey throphy for Barça.
Next time do your researchs right way 🤷♂️
That wasn't Copa del rey mate, it was supercopa (Not a major trophy).
Also given Barca's really long history and the existence of competitions from that past that no longer exist, there's a lot of obscurity as to what constitutes a "trophy". So the total number will never be accurate.
@@FrontPageFootball Ok bro.
