Im not sure does Kylian Mbappe want to win the Champions League with PSG. If PSG looses Mbappe. They wont really have any chance of winning the Champions League anymore. They still need to improve rest of the team, that they would be able to win the Champions League. Real Madrid already got good attack with Vini, Rodrygo and Bellingham, but adding in Mbappe in the middle as striker would make them too op. That would still make change in the club formation with taking on defensive mid-fielder out of the team.

True but Lebron in Cleveland would be like Mbappe playing for Lille, Aston Villa, Getafe or Atalanta, things like that almost never happen in football because when you reach Top level like Mbappe, all the big rich clubs will do everything to get you and there is no trade in football, so if the player come from a small and not super rich club like Monaco (Mbappe first pro team when he was 16-17), then a big club like PSG can just say i give you 180Millions $ for Mbappe and no small club with small budget will ever refuse that … If Lebron played Football he would have been in Real Madrid or City by age 20 at most, except if he was already on one of these big rich teams.

Although interrupting Mbappé's Career, it could be matters crack national pride from the French leadership view if he leaves for Real Madrid. Whichever he chooses, he will never get treated like his current location if he leaves for Real Madrid.
Absolutely agree with this comment! Although I do think Mbappé has a little bit of an ego and money plays a large part in his decision making, I still do believe he’s 1. Smart and in control, and 2. A patriot of his country. If he didn’t care about his nation and bringing pride to it, Macron’s patriotic pleas would have fell on deaf ears. Both he and the president put large importance on the success of French football at large.
It's selfish on Macron's part. If you love a player send him to a stronger league so that when he plays for France he will be even greater...but no, it's about money and ego. I hope Mbappe is smarter and his Dad helps him "Get Out"

really enjoy your explainers and how well-made these videos are!! the intersection of politics, sports, and society is literally a venn diagram and kylian mbappe's ever burgeoning career is a prime example of that. i do hope he gets to do what he truly wants with his career this time around. surely the football world at large can't let a once in a lifetime player like that fall out of love with the sport or have him play less when he's a joy to watch more often than not (given recent games where he's sent off at half time lol) because of outside pressure and world leaders using him as a pawn. i do remember a video from late last year where he was asked what kind of influence does macron have on his career at this moment and he said "none". hopefully that's true but we'll see how it goes i guess!!

kylian mbappé is one of my favorite football players for his intelligence off and on the field. You can tell he desires to be the best again and again. No matter how much patriotism or power he has in PSG im sure he knows that to he needs new challenges that RM can provide to continue to grow as player.

As a PSG fan, I was thinking exactly this. I only heard of Macron twice....coincidentally both were involved meeting Mbappe at a time when Mbappe was considering leaving France. I want Mbappe to stay. But he should have enough awareness to know that sports and politics don't mix.
Secondly, this is a beautifully made video. More importantly, it was objective and didn't show favortism towards PSG or any club Mbappe is considering. Its hard to find objective personalities in football, but you seem to have it.
IVE BEEN SAYING THIS EVER SINCE HE WON THE WORLD CUP! Mbappé is an amazing footballer who wanted to move to real Madrid something he himself saud is hes dream move but ever since he got "goodie" with macron things have not been right. Him doing the things he said he wouldn't like or care for he's doing but not because he wants to but he's being guilted by macron and the qutari investor(s). "He thinks hes bigger than the club", "Why is he the front man", "Why does he get special treatment", its because he's a bloody pawn in a ruthless game of politics. I think Mbappe leaving to Real Madrid will ultimately be better for the French national team. Playing in Real Madrid, he will gain more skills and be able to have more challenging competition which he can then translate to when he plays with the French national team. Mbappe is already very skilled and he plays in a pretty decent league with decent competition but I think if he goes to a league that has the best competition in the world then I think Mbappe can become the best footballer without a doubt.
