    "our movie is meant to be entertaining" - why is that the exception and not the rule?

    The fact that they had to explicitly point that out shows they are desperate to get butts in seats. You should have seen the stack of movies and tv shows Tom of ME presented in order to enjoy this film.

    This has me very curious, but I'm not sure if I'm curious enough to pay $12 to see it. Too much damage has been done to the brand.

    Yeah, that whole TVA beginning in the trailer was a real turnoff for me. Loki season 1 ep1 and 2 were boring AF as were most of the Disney+ Marvel shows that I saw (WandaVision, Falcon/WinterSoldier). Hard to believe that the TVA will NOT be a big part of Deadpool/Wolverine at this point TBH.

    Sitting this one out. I'll wait for it on Blu-Ray so Disney only profits once off of me watching it and I can afford the popcorn.

    Deadpool is my favorite Marvel character and I love the first two movies. I'll watch Deadpool 3 on a third party site this summer because I hate movie theaters. Plus Disney can't make money via third party sites.

    Honestly, I'm fine with things from the paywalled shows (or past movies!) playing a major role in the movie even if it's supposed to be 'no homework required'...as long as they remember to introduce them as if it's new to this movie's audience.
    Homework is making me watch/re-watch the stuff to know what's going on. If I could walk in without having seen a single MCU movie and still follow the plot? We're good.
    Edit: Not seeing it in theaters because Disney. Otherwise it'd be getting considered.

    The fact they have to poiint out things like entertaining and no prior homework is so damning in of itself.
    As for the tva from the trailer we can see they are a background group they have the ability to mointer and try to help timelines, they follow a set timeline as rhe guiding princple.
    So they need like 10mins of screen time tops to flesh out the mechanics, deadpool convinging and wit after that they need not be mentioned again.
    So very possible to need no prior knowledge i am always wary of the disney factor

  • @curtisshaw1370

    I won't pay disney for micromanaging deadpool 3, (sorry Ryan)
    I don't expect disney to back off with the woke dei agenda in any of their productions, not till they clean house bob, kk, and so on.
    and they fire all of the no talent hacks and re-hire all of the skilled non woke employee's that they forced out with the woke dei agenda.

  • @Torviticus

    I'd argue that Deadpool and Wolverine will be entering this film with no prior knowledge of the events of Loki; so the viewer should be ok. Should i see the film I'll not have seen Deadpool 2 so I'd likely be in a worse position.

    Unless someone I trust says that Deadpool 3 is the worst MCU movie ever made then I was already sold by the Trailer, it's probably the last MCU movie I'm watching for a very very long time though, but unless it's amazing I'll only watch this movie once. That's all, this news doesn't give more or less reasons to watch it for me. I see it this way: After watching some reviews of ScarletVision I wasn't confused watching Multiverse of Madness... It was still a shit movie, but I didn't need to watch the show and that's what I see here, if Deadpool 3 is good, then I won't care if the TVA is in the movie.

    It doesn't matter.
    Paying to see this movie would be giving money to Disney.

    99.9% of the time I do not financially support Disney.
    Since Endgame, I only purchased a ticket for No Way Home. You bring back Tobey and Andrew and pay respect to 20 years of Spider-Man, to the characters I grew up on....I buy a ticket.
    I buy tickets to Cameron's Avatar films until he let's me down.
    You bring back Reynolds and Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine...you celebrate 25 years of X-Men on film, and you get my money.
    If you tell me this is more of a culmination of the Fox-Verse than it is a big MCU event...then THAT is even better.
    Sunset those characters and that franchise with respect and reverence, and I'm game.

    I just know their chances would’ve been better at making more money if they'd simply offer a PG-13 version. Even if it was a limited release. Why limit how many families can watch it??

    • @markcarpenter6020
      @markcarpenter6020 Před 13 dny

      Because Deadpool isn't a PG-13 hero. It would be like making a PG-13 punisher or spawn movie.

      @jesseoliva2637 Před 13 dny

      @@markcarpenter6020 I’m not saying don’t release the R Rated one. Disney is in a world of hurt and they need a HUGE win. You can limit the cursing and tone down the blood enough to have a simultaneous PG-13 release. Wolverine is not a PG-13 character either yet they made it work and was still HUGELY successful.

  • @IzzosPlace

    You can call me a prude (or a Jonas) but I don’t enjoy cursing and weird sex themes in my movies. Looking forward to hearing any reviews though. Ryan and Hugh are masters in these characters. Just not a movie I’m going to watch. Plus Disney/Marvel/starwars sux so there’s a plus to me not going lol.

    If they really made it with respect to the fan base it will easily make a billion dollars. I very much doubt they really did though.

    • @sssspider
      @sssspider Před 14 dny +1

      Possibly, yes. Easily, hell no. Deadpool 1 and 2 both “only” did 750 million, and they came out in when the economy was in much better shape. While I think it’s in the realm of possibility there are a LOT of headwinds Deadpool 3 must face to cross $1B.

    • @jimsteinmanfan80
      @jimsteinmanfan80 Před 14 dny

      They didn't have all the characters in the MCU to play with @@sssspider so the potential if much bigger now if they wanted to respect the fans. Since Wolverine is in it and they already introduced the X-men in the post credit scene in The Marvels they could meet the X-men here and determine that they will actually be called the X-men. They won't respect the fan base though and I very much doubt they will make 500 millions if they don't. Maybe only 250 millions.

    • @sssspider
      @sssspider Před 13 dny

      @jimsteinmanfan80 Před 10 dny

      That might be true@@sssspider , Wolverine and maybe the rest of the X-men would be needed to draw eyes to this film but I think fans would enjoy seeing Hulk and Wolverine go toe to toe here too just like in the comics for example and bring in those extra 250 million.
