- Cruel Parents Kicked Me Out At 14 For Being "Too Weak" To Work... But Years Later, I'm Living In My Uncle's House That I Inherited, But Now They're Begging to Get Back In My Life!
#redditupdate #redditrelationship
OP gets CPS, but OP won’t call CPS for his brother Toby and instead basically tells us that Toby will have to endure the abuse, trauma, and pain? I think by the time Toby turns 18, he won’t like anyone in that family-not even OP and I wouldn’t blame him one bit.💯
I mean story honestly Ai generated but I can see this situation happening. A lot of states have backdoor ways for kids to enter a dependency. That and even moreso a lot of abused kids are taught to fear CPS. If that's the way you were raised, telling CPS could feel unhelpful.
@@josephbasler5624 From the CPS horror stories I’ve been told irl. Yeah, I can see CPS being unhelpful. My issues was that whoever OP’s caseworker was, was one of the good ones within that system, and then it’s like said good social worker dropped off the face of the Earth, OP nor the uncle kept their contact information? Because they HAD to have seen the condition Toby was in and thought “we may be in touch with you later for the other child in that house”. But instead they just kept going back to try and reason with the unreasonable parents instead of going the legal route.
@jadorianempire9754 i think he lives in a state or country that is supporting of corporal punishment
Same
Dude something tells me in half percent of the people that liked your comment that you guys don't understand how CPS really works because even if Op and the Uncle did fight for Toby they wouldn't just win the parents might have a better chance of winning And the only reason that OP got lucky with the uncle was due to the fact that the parents made it look like they can provide for Toby but they can't provide for OP so it would take a lot of serious work in a matter of years for them to even get Toby in their care so I don't blame the uncle for just moving on and then two I hate to say it there's a lot that OP's parents can do to have them trespass and even arrested or even sued and normally that sometimes CPS won't even care to get fully involved in finding out what's going on with the abusers which would be the parents in the situation so basically yet again even if the uncle and got them involved it might not go anywhere neither way
The fact the parents think their son doesn’t need school is beyond ridiculous, what they’re doing is a form of child abuse and they’re unfit to be parents.
the story is fake as hell don't bother
@@Mohammad-oj8mo Probably, but knowing our terrible species this probably happened anyway.
It's literally the law to send your children to school until at least 16.
This is pretty true in my country,India.we have a law that says education must be provided until the age 14 probably that's why OP's father let him have education till the age of 14
@@mnomadvfxsmall towns especially down south don’t really enforce stuff
This needs more updates. These types of parents are not going to accept what happened at the end and will soon do everything in their power to ruin OP’s new life and take everything from them. There’s no doubt in my mind that this saga is far from over.
The update is it's bullshit. Congrats, you fell for it.
These AI stories are getting completely unhinged.
Neglect of a minor. Abandoning a minor. Failing to enroll a minor in public education. Child trafficking. Yeah, the dad committed multiple major felonies. I'm sure this story definitely happened.
Is a high school education compulsory the US?
@@mykolapliashechnykov8701 Yes, some go to a pre-k as early as age 3-4, but legally it starts at age 5 all the way til 18. You can drop out at 16 in some states tho.
Thank you for saying it hell I thought I stepped back in time 😂
What? They literally go over, in the story, how the parents called CPS to avoid abandoning a minor officially. They made their kid drop out when it was legal (past sophomore year) and there was nothing mentioned about Child Trafficking unless you're calling the kid being forced to work on a farm "trafficking" which would be a bit of a misnomer. Neglect of a minor is the only clear one here, but the real charge would be child abuse and endangerment.
Even still, people commit many felonies and go unpunished. Brotherman, the best proof that this IS fake (which I fully believe btw) is that he said he was 14 and in 11TH grade. Which, unless he was skipping grades which wasn't implied, is 2 years earlier than when you actually enter 11th grade.
@@anarchosherman961 sending a child to work somewhere for money against the child's will is the literal definition of human trafficking
Sadly, I actually believe CPS would leave a kid with awful parents who've been proven negligent.
The rest, no. ILLEGAL.
Agreed!!
But that wasn't even why CPS was visiting... Did y'all pay attention? They claimed that the financial situation had become too burdensome and they couldn't afford to have the one kid they wanted to get rid of. The best evidence of this being fake is that he literally said he was 14 and in 11th grade. Besides, people get away with these crimes all the damn time.
As soon as I realized this was ai, I farted so loud that it brought Uncle Jeff back to life
? Where's the begging part? I wanted them to crawl on their hands begging for some money...
This guy gets it
Exactly where's the 'Please son you owe it to Family and we are under debt for 300 billion USD ' and 'Fuck off you didn't do shit '
I took it from them shamelessly appearing at the funeral and the wake. If not begging for money, begging to rub it in OP's face that they thought they were right and now OP would suffer more.
I love you @artichaze007
Oh trust and believe it will happen sooner or later
Wait. 14-year-olds are still in junior high or a freshman in high school. A junior is 16 to 17 years old. And the description of the Alabama countryside is no good because state laws prohibit it. The parents would have had to go down to the school and withdraw their kids and could still receive punishment by the state.
You know this takes place in Arkansas right? It says it in the beginning of the video.
Arkansas had junior highs, meaning that he would have been in junior high when it happened.
RIP Uncle Jeff and I support the decisions of the person who felt all this pain.
why is no one talking abt how bro said he’s 14 as a 11th grader??
Exactly, this pulled me out of the story entirely. I'm glad someone else noticed this
This story is AI generated, you cannot expect it to make too much sense.
@@Valkyncirael its a reddit story xD
@@trashyyx That does not negate the fact that it's AI generated...
I graduated at 15
I don't care whether this was real or not, this is heartbreaking.
I can't imagine someone who was a parent to me dying of cancer and you can't do anything about it.
I don't think I would have handled it as well as OP did
That ending was rather anti climactic
Bro not feeding u and ur bro correctly???? Bro thats abussive asf, u wont reach ur full potential if ur not fed well
Feed them minimun and wait they work in a farm?!?! They wanted to kill their sons or what?
@@Zeromegas real, proteins and nutrients are hella important in the development stages of a child
@@Zeromegasthey didn't care about their kids.
I know it's not the same thing but this takes my mind to slavery
Slaves were just used up by their owners. The owners didn't care about them, all they cared about was what they could get out of them.
They didn't care if they died, they didn't care if they got sick, they only cared about the slave working to benefit the owner.
Sad as it is I think a lot of people still have this mindset of just using people to get whatever they want out of them. Even though slavery in the US is gone.
And yes before those of you want to put me down for supposedly being stupid, I know that there is still slavery going on on the planet and in the US but it is highly illegal.
The allowance of slavery is dead in the US
It's not even remotely believable that the father is having a hissy fit over him being unable to work when they aren't even feeding him properly.
@mnomadvfx people are hypocrites in this world unfortunately.
-fake in an all time record of 26 seconds. It is illegal to not send your child to school. every state is required to have kids enrolled in school from ages 5-17 unless otherwise stated by the state. If they tried to pull the homeschool act, it would show that the kid didnt know anything via state testing that occurs. So the parents would be forced to put him into brick and mortar. Any cop or doctor by federal law has a duty to report a kid not in school or "sick" too much.
4 mins in and cps is there and no one asked about schooling.... he didnt inform them of the abuse? again fake.
uses a UK term in place of an american one. This story is in Rural Arkansas lol they don't use the word "mate(s)" lmao
1. You can Homeschool, 2. if you are a child chances are you don't think about that,3. mate isn't a UK term stereotypicaly it's australian, also TVs exist in rural Arkansas don't they?
It's sad how U know the stuff to backup what Ur saying but not the bits that go against it
All these facts? Pfff what if this wasn't america? U can't apply US laws for every vid.
This story cannot be true. Schools everywhere keep track of attendance. If it were commonplace for kids to be removed from school to work on the farm instead, the school would know and would report it. I grew up on a farm in TN and while some kids dropped out of HS, it was only when they were old enough (16?) and not all of them were so they could work on the farm or someone else's. CPS, in doing their research, would have noted she was not in school. Then the OP doesn't call CPS for Toby, knowing already what they can do? Yeah, this is bull.
Why do I keep listening to this AI stories?
Oh well, I’ve only got myself to blame
Some stories are heartbreaking, and some have people so awful there’s nothing bad enough that could happen to them to balance the scales. Loved how OP kicked them out at the end. Disrespect them? In what world do they delude themselves into believing they have any right to OP’s respect?
this is actually how i imagine rural america(us)
I’m glad to say is not like that at all
@@MrArielK yea story was also fu as fuck prob, so...
You really think a bunch of lazy inbred jeds would behave like this?
This story sounds like a wall, a cross-culture load scripted from AI.
Nah they have law's against this.
Considering that this is probably from east Asia and they changed the location to the US it is possible that this is Japan though I recently saw an article where children as young as 13 were working in a factory in Tennessee. So it does happen here
How do I know this is fake?
Aren't children supposed to be at school??And the parents should be sued for abandonment qnd abuse.
Two evils can't make a decent person. If op had those instincts, it had to come from somewhere which idk... The parents are cartoonishly entitled😂
Still entertaining if you don't think its real tho.
Imagine how happy the people wanting an update were when OP posted an update after 5 years.
Why did he leave Toby to be abused though????
The way he speaks indicates that he’s not from the USA. It’s closer to a European, specifically British, way of speaking.
Still looking for the begging part
Bruhh stop the cap this ai writing
"Update 1 it's been years"
CAP
as soo i seen high school junior at 14 i checked out
Actually depending on the state this take place in Toby could choose to live you at the age of 17. Some states allow people who has their own job and financially stable where they can take care of themselves they could not live with their parents at the age of 17. Some states allows this at 16 but you have to go to court and get some paperwork sign to get this done. The law only requires that for example Toby to tell his parents where he is
When Stories are told over years they most likely turn out pretty good 👍
My guess is that this is a creative writing exercise by a person in another country. (My guess is Japan)
There is so much wrong with this. Minors working at 14 and being taken out of school? And CPS isn't saying anything?
Why do I think it is a Japanese person? There is only ONE on-site crematorium in Arkansas, and it does the more common "cremate now, ceremony and collect later. Whereas it's common in Japan to have a ceremony, cremate the body at the location, then 2 hours later collect the cremains.
No to mention that the laws about compulsory education are completely different there, so a 15 year old can legally be taken from school. They chose Arkansas because it's known to be very rural and backward.
Why didn't he call cps to get his brother away from those horrible people
And why didn't he tell cps from the start what his parents were like when they abandoned him
who wrote this script? My brother is going to in-counter my fathers belt today😂😂😂
47 seconds ago is crazy
And folks is why you go to school and never listen to idiots.
OP saw that his brother was/is being abused and didn't think to call CPS? Just went to his parents house and begged for them to give him Toby? Story is either fake or OP is dumb AF.
Welp, as a born-and-raised hog-fearing Arkansan - I call major BS.
Even hillfolk don't do this.
He has a phone but no money to feed himself
AI
CPS would take both kids and make the parents pay child support.
This is a creative writing assignment
RIP Uncle Jeff 😥
This is incredibly illegal and takes place in America
I'll put 500 on things that never happened Jeff... The uncle tried every medical center in the world? Has security in the house? But only has a networth of a little over 500k maybe 1m if you count the house? Yea smells like bullshhhhhht.
Why did he bother callin his folks
Bro, people get so bent out of shape at these stories for no reason. It's a fun story to listen to and enjoy. So sorry not everything on the interent isn't 100% real.
I’m sorry… freshly 14 and a junior in high school? As in… year three of high school? At a middle school age?
I’m pretty sure that if there was someone smart enough to excel and skip MULTIPLE GRADES, their parents wouldn’t have them dropping out 😂😂
Either that or that was no credible school LMAO
R.i.p uncle jeff
File this under: Shit that never happened as told by an AI with Dickens as a model.
I honestly don't understand how people can say they want to be something 'more' than a farmer. I can't imagine a greater thing to be job wise than a farmer or teacher. I'd instead say I want to be something more than just a businessman, lawyer, or accountant.
I agree education is extremely important, but I don't think you can get a good education from modern western universities anymore, at least not outside core STEM disciplines. All you get is ideological indoctrination. And all at an exhorbitant cost that outweighs any possible benefit the education could have.
These days you'r better off atusying on your own on your own time and just doing certification courses where certification can directly benefit your career.
Am I the only one that was thrown off by the fact that this person said they are from Arkansas, but then he uses the word "mates" likes hes british?
Arkansas is a hell of a place to be abandoned. I’m from Arkansas and well it sounds like an accurate story. It’s prolly fake but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was true.
A junior in Highschool at fourteen.... I call bullshit on this story less than thirty seconds into it.
i mean, why on earth why he say that "this is my uncle's house" and "left me 500k"
that is the dumbest thing ever. now you created unecessary drama.
Ahhh God , it hurts seeing Kage and Phoenixx after everything z
So guy has a stage 4 cancer, tried a treatment and he didn't see what chemotherapy does to a body? I guess he did nothing for his health or AI forgot that hairloss is visible.
he could have already been bald
Why would the Op not get cps involved for his brother?
When tf does this take place, the 1920s
I have a PRETTTY high “bullshit” tolerance for reddit stories…but ya i got 30 seconds into this and new it was fake loo
Yet another obvios evidence this is fake: "Uncle" was kicked out of the house by "his nephew", which is the OP's dad. That would make dad Uncle's BROTHER.
Sometimes uncle is merely a term used for a lifetime best friend. Maybe ops father and him were close at a time and those boundaries were established
Most of these stories are AI generated. My game is to find the inconsistencies (14 year old junior in high school?🙄).
This channel, along with trash like Apple Text, Viral Texts, iText Pro are super addictive and great yo have on in yhe background when you're doing chores around the house.
But they ARE trash: very low quality editing, spelling, obvious inconsistencies, and repetitive stories.
CZcams has reached the equivalent of our moms' and grandmas' soap operas.
Farmers will tell you. “Don’t be a farmer” listen to them
Once I heard 14 and a junior in high school 😅😅😅 ai be slippin
Part 2 please,for toby story.
I’m surprised CPS even asked any follow up questions.
Shit organization through and through.
Prime example of why the south ranks low on every scale.
tbh, am i the jerk? is the only reddit story teller who reads actual reddit stories, ive checked
correct me if im wrong
We dont get to choose our parents but we can choose our futures 100
First of all Arkansas is NOT like this. Laws for education exist. Not since like the 1800s. And 500,000 isn't a massive amount of money like this alludes too. Poorly written.
Everyone saying the story is fake because an 14 can't be in 11 grade or because he didn't call CPS for the younger brother but I call it fake because some 14 kid with supposed no education can't write that coherent. 99% of the words he says are the same adult aita posters uses.
wonder if this is in the us, if so get cps get involed an called / ask the cops to do rootien checks. since this by far sounds shady and stuborn. i understand the idea of working for ones own gain but without a proper education much is still lost an leave many more opportunities unreachable to those who lack the qualifications. i feel for them in this regard since this hit me right at home, understanding the idea of be screwed out of education because of the actions of others.
R.I.P Uncle Jeff... Jeff Bezo-......
This is a prime example of AI written garbage. It is an algorithm designed to exhibit emotion from the reader to gain views and collect revenue from ads. AKA a Writer-Bot
If i was uncle jeff i would him in becuz i would have wanted him to do wat i could not
I would like an update about if one comes out
Get their asses OUT of my house 😂😂😂😂
I want to see the original post and know if he got his brother out of that hell hole. Anyone have a link?
I call bullshit. The grammar is all over the place, the idioms are messed up, and the spelling & sentence structure isn't that of someone with a limited education. 50 bucks says this is AI.
How TF are you a 14 year old junior in HS?!
You skip grades. It happens.
hey my sister died because of blood cancer
Sadly it's fake due to not calling CPS on his parents about his brother and his abuse.
Bro not feeding u and ur bro correctl
For someone that stopped their education early- they have quite the expansive vocabulary. 🙄 let’s work on making these more believable… Shall we??
You do not have to be able to read or even have advanced formal education to have an expansive vocabulary. What about blind people? People who have read everything but couldn't go beyond 11th grade, when they could drop out to support their families at sixteen? There are many things in these stories that are not credible, but that is not one of them.
How can he turn 14 to 19 in 1 year😂😂😂 fakeass story again
anyone know the subreddit for this?
Is this slavery?
What year was this?
When is op from ? the 1920s?

It’s been a year since origin post but OP has photographic memory in update, she’s able to continue the story right where it ended. Also uncle is kinda of a dick

ETA: Whoever wrote this, unless AI which is where a lot of these stories are coming from lately, needs to understand that juniors in HS are typically 16 going on or already 17 and this person didn't say they were intellectually gifted.
