I don't know where you live, but if you live in the states there are all kinds of programs that help autistic people, if you live in a different country there should be some type of school or program that might help you. You just have to look it up and find it. Just because someone gave up on you doesn't mean you have to, try your best and prove to them and yourself you can make it.

    Once upon a time, in a quaint little town nestled between rolling hills and whispering forests, there lived two siblings: Alex and Ryan. Alex, the older one, had always been treated unfairly by their parents. No matter what Alex did, it never seemed enough to earn their approval. Meanwhile, Ryan, the youngest, was showered with affection and praise for every little achievement.
    As the years passed, Alex grew weary of constantly feeling overlooked and unappreciated. Despite their best efforts to excel in school and in various endeavors, their parents' favoritism towards Ryan remained unchanged. The resentment festered within Alex, but they held onto a glimmer of hope that things would eventually change.
    However, when Alex turned 18, they decided they couldn't bear the unfair treatment any longer. With a heavy heart and a determination to forge their own path, Alex bid farewell to their childhood home and set out into the world, armed with nothing but ambition and resilience.
    Years went by, and Alex worked tirelessly, climbing the ladder of success one rung at a time. Through sheer hard work and dedication, they built a prosperous empire, becoming one of the wealthiest individuals in the town.
    Meanwhile, back at their childhood home, Ryan had grown accustomed to basking in their parents' favoritism. But as time passed, their parents began to face financial difficulties. Their once-thriving business had faltered, and they found themselves on the brink of losing everything.
    Desperate and with nowhere else to turn, Alex's parents reached out to them, pleading for help. They begged Alex to give them money from their fortune, hoping to salvage what remained of their livelihood. They even went as far as to request Alex's luxurious mansion, envisioning it as a solution to all their problems.
    Upon hearing their parents' pleas, Alex's heart softened, but the memories of years of neglect and mistreatment resurfaced. Despite their parents' desperate pleas, Alex couldn't bring themselves to simply hand over their hard-earned wealth. They had worked tirelessly to build their empire from the ground up, and they refused to let their parents take it away to favor Ryan once again.
    With a heavy heart, Alex gently declined their parents' requests, explaining that while they were willing to offer assistance and support, they could not simply relinquish everything they had worked so hard for. Instead, Alex offered guidance and financial aid to help their parents get back on their feet, but on the condition that they treat both siblings equally from that moment forward.
    Although their parents were initially disappointed and angered by Alex's refusal, they eventually came to realize the error of their ways. They acknowledged their past favoritism and promised to mend their relationship with Alex, understanding that love and support should never be conditional.
    In the end, Alex's refusal to yield to their parents' demands served as a catalyst for healing and reconciliation within the family. As they embraced their newfound equality, the siblings forged a stronger bond than ever before, united by their shared journey of overcoming adversity and finding true acceptance.

    Okay, I’m not the kind of person who likes to accuse stories of being fake because it’s Reddit, who cares and what’s the point, but I just want to point out for anyone who wants to write a more accurate story next time;
    defamation does not work in the way they explained it. Defamation has a notoriously high burden of proof and is difficult to win. In most US states, the accuser would have to prove 1) a knowingly false statement was made and presented as fact 2) this was communicated to a third party (social media) 3) the defendant was negligent or acting with malice when determining the truth of what they were saying (aka did extremely little research and present it as fact) 4) the statement cause a countable damage, whether to the reputation or impacting future business opportunities, etc.
    All of that to say, it’s hard to prove. In this case, it would have been an uphill battle to prove that the step sis knowingly posted something she knew to be false and presented it as fact OR did so little research (so little research that a reasonable person would have been more careful and do more research beforehand) which would be extremely hard to prove, as well as having to prove that her statement actually did harm to the company and its reputation, which it sounds like since step sis business was already failing, it would be very difficult to prove she had and impact on OPs.
    All of this to say, this story is false and maybe needs to do a little more legal research or left out so little information that it completely misrepresented the case itself.
    It’s my pet peeve when people think defamation cases are easy to win or even that commonly brought to court, it’s hard to punish someone to a constitutionally protected right of free speech

    I would rule against the OP and fiance. Maybe Jess and her husband talked smack about the OP and fiance in social media postings but assuming without being definitive that this happened in the US the law here makes it hard if not near impossible to win a defamation case because of the constitutional right of freedom of speech and opinion even if it harms someone else in the public's estimation without something more tangible. Also as a sanction for violating Jess's and her husband's constitutional guarantees of freedom of speech and due process I would enter judgment the sanction that OP and her fiance must continue to do business with Jess and her husband for the next five years at whatever cost dictated by them year by year over those five years even if it harms OP and her fiance financially but it cannot put them to the point of bankruptcy but it is allowed that Jess set punitive price levels.

    First I would have called the police myself and told them what was up. An I would do it in front of the parents. I would also take a test to see if any of the substances were in my system. Depending on the state I would then sue my parents. There is legal representation those under 18 can get in most states. Some fall under Dependency proceedings. I would do everything in my power to make that situation backfire on everyone in my room and do my level best to put someone in jail.
    Most states and the United States Department of Health and Human Services Children’s Bureau recognize children as parties to dependency proceedings and provide children with party rights, including notice and the right to participate.

      not having drugs in your system doesnt prove non possession. worse is if the step daughter admits and witness tampers to claim that op is their dealer.

    • @lodunost
      @lodunost Před měsícem

      @@jordanwardle11 She doesn't have to prove anything. She is doing her due diligence and showing her willingness to cooperate. There is drug paraphernalia in the house. The parents are currently in possession of said drugs. They blame the daughter. I have seen this play out several times. I deal with Innercity kids in PA, and I can tell you where I work with these kids at, K&A is one of the worst places you can think of or ever have the misfortune of being. I deal with these kids all the time having these situations. You have to remove yourself from it and to do that you need help. Once they get the matter in front of authorities and then a judge starts looking at it. What do you think is really going to happen? DHS will step in first if they can and then CPS depending on the age. There will most likely be a court ordered drug test. An investigation and the parent will have to pay support to the kid throughout the process of this separation and into college.
      You know the OP is my dealer wont playout very well. Almost never works for a myriad of reasons. If she keeps her nose clean that will come out during an investigation.
