I feel for OP where he said he wanted his parents to follow through with the divorce. I used to give through that where my parents would constantly fight and my dad would leave for a night, come back and argue again. It was horrible and I wanted them to go through with it because me and my younger sibling wouldn’t have to be witnesses to their constant screaming and they could be happier themselves. I expressed this openly to my dad and I just got told off for not caring about my parents relationship or the family.
And those naive fools thinks parents should stay for the kid even if they resent each other is a good choice. 🙄

You have to respect the Dad in this situation. Not only is he still friends with the mother of his child, who he cheated on, but his child is also still begging for his attention and approval. He let his wife abuse his only child and only left because she made him a cuck... He's the problem and he got away will all of it. Now the 2nd ex gets none of his money and he is going on a "retreat" with his 1st ex wife, their child, child's spouse, and in laws. Like one big happy family. He's sick... Honestly this fills up pretty well,he knew he couldn't win the divorce so he decided to make his daughter the pawn for his future,moved his daughter away from bio mom(practically gaining sole custody), made op go through alot of trauma,made her dependent on him more than his mom who was giving her the same if not more love than that so called father. If the step mom didn't cheat he could still use the child abuse excuse to leave. He was able to make peace with bio mom was only because op didn't told her that he cheated on her and he used his daughter as a medium. Too many coincidences favouring the dad. Op is just too naive to see the truth or she knows yet don't won't to believe it.

Not to mention forcing his daughter to live under the same roof as a sociopathic abuser and prioritizing her over his own daughter. Prenups don't void alimony and CS, it only set the amount agreed by both parties instead of 'clean up' demand without prenups, even so the judge can simply throw out the prenup including iron clad ones.
if its stipulated then they do, like if it was stipulated that in the event of an affair the spouse wouldnt be obligated to anything.
She cheated on him so if they live in an at fault state or the judge deems it he walking away Scott free and he has no child by her bc she’s almost infertile so no child support. Now unless you are talking abt op’s mom then if the op lived with him the mom had to pay child support

Honestly, I'm kinda pissed that OP didn't bring up the years of abuse when she showed him those screenshots. If I had been in her shoes, the _second_ he started getting angry at all the vile things she wrote I would have said "I don't know why you're angry right now, this is far from the worst things she's said to me." and if I was able to think of it in the heat of the moment, I'd probably follow it up with "I've been trying to tell you for YEARS that she was trying to get rid of me from the moment you first left her alone with me." and when he starts apologizing and regretting not believing it before, I'd probably start crying too and just tell him how much I'd hoped this moment would come. The moment where he finally believes me.
I know how it feels, even if it wasn't specifically a STEP mother that abused me. My biological mother did, and my father didn't even try to protect me. I know he's known the truth all along, but part of me likes to pretend that maybe he just doesn't know... That eventually a day would come where he'd finally learn the truth and step in to finally protect me like a father should. I know, though. I know it's not real. I know he never loved me enough to protect me. But it was a nice thought, just like the imaginary scenes I'd make in my head where I had a family that didn't abuse me. A nice thought, a nice fantasy... A lie. It will always be a lie.
