Hi Veronica. Are there circumstances where contacting the DA to get charges dropped before could actually cause the DA to notice your case where it might’ve flown under the radar otherwise? I have a public defender but I also have evidence where my ex is basically lying and even after writing a statement and having court soon ask to chill with me and hang out should I give that information to my public defender on court day to show if I was such a threat why would you wanna be around me or hang out 🤷🏾‍♂️

You cannot get a free attorney in Minnesota for defending yourself against an order for protection. At least that is what they told me.
