In case this helps anyone, here are the 7 defenses that I explain and give examples of in the video, in order: (1.) self-defense; (2.) lack of evidence; (3.) false accusations; (4.) accident; (5.) provocation (not a complete defense, but it still can result in the case being dismissed or at least a better outcome); (6.) alibi; and (7.) police misconduct.

Hopefully some one can help as it's the weekend so I can't contact the courts.
I live in Nebraska & the DVRO filed against me was issued from a District & County that the Pettitioner doesn't reside in, though they may be staying in that district (for a day at the time I was served).
I don't want to embarrass my wife or cause further issues by fighting this so if I can file for dismissal on those grounds that woukd save a lot of hurt.

So I have a tro on me right now and my ex is trying to use a past event where her sister put hands on me so I had to drive away even tho it was in my exes car because I was being attacked which was 3 months ago. We had arguments over text on June 19th but wants to connect a past event in order to strengthen her argument of having a restraining order on me and has 3 different dates that says I physically harmed her where I didn’t even come in close contact or was she ever harmed on that date she filed and even a month prior. How can I explain to the judge that what she is saying isn’t relevant to the day she filed a restraining order over text message arguement weve had?

Yeah, because people don't exaggerate just to fuck someone's life up. Get real

@@laurenvieira1223 I beg to differ. It happens thousands of times every day right here in the good old USA.
My X not only exaggerated but also lied and used my daughter as a weapon against me.
All because of her cheating on me.

@@bigfootnmore6619 I'm agreeing with you. This defense is helpful for people because people DO lie and exaggerate. You experienced that, and I'm sorry you did.

@@laurenvieira1223 ok. Your comment said that people DON'T exaggerate just to mess up someone's life.
