This was the perfect video. Saw another one with 300k views that was garbage. Thank you for covering all of the essential details, especially trigger usage.
These are great machines, we've had ours nearing on 2 years. We have had zero issues with it, and it still works as well as when we unboxed it. The machine is easy to take apart for cleaning, and it genuinely cleans everything extremely well. My carpets and rugs are well maintained which has been a blessing, before this machine our carpets were HORRIBLE between pet stains and high traffic stains. I use mine every 3 months on the whole house, it keeps allergies down plus it keeps the carpets from getting too dirty. I use laundry detergent, it works better than the regular carpet soap. I also do a final pass over everything with just fresh water to rinse the soap out. Great demonstration! Thank you! Btw, if you are mainly shampooing rugs, get the spin scrub. It doesn't grab your rugs like a shampooer with a roller would, makes them so much easier to clean.
Thank you for the showing the basics...learned more than any other video, especially how to spot clean. Never had seen that technique before well done.
Never used one of these before and my bf was worried I would break his so I CZcamsd how to use this machine and your video was the 1st video!! Gonna send this video to him to see if this is what he wants me to do!! Thanks!!
Thank you! After cleaning it I knew this was a wonderful machine to use to clean a heavily soiled carpet, but I seemed to be running too quickly through detergent. To travel as if it were a vacuum cleaner misses the benefit of the scrubbing brushes
Otherwise you could just b moving the dirt around, just saying!on the side of my black sofa I cleaned t with hose about 3X then it turned like chalky color I ended up having to literally hosing that side down there was SOmuch old soap/solution left behind n that sh** just never ended before it rinsed clean sudd free
Why is the machine not pullung water out from the carpet. Its still wet when dragged back on holding the button and without holding yields the same result.
I’m trying to find out if these home steamers need rinsing. You didn’t mention even after using Dawn. My cleaner or bottle of solution doesn’t mention rinsing.
Need? Not unless specified by the soap. If you think you're sensitive to these agents then rinsing seems like a good idea. I feel like using minimal soap is good enough myself. A rinse certainly doesn't hurt in any case if you're inclined. Maybe do a science project and rinse half the carpet in a room. The argument to rinse is that the soap would attract and hold dust and dirt. If there is no difference then you know rinsing isn't necessary.
Is it a steam cleaner? So important to use the rinse function after washing. You basically do the same process, except with the dial switched over to rinse. We forgot to rinse once and the carpet got dirty very quickly. Oops.
How do you load it? How much solution do you put in the tank with water? No one has a video on how to load the tank(like yours). Everyone has the double spouts. Your video is a single spout tank like mine. Please help!
I use the Hoover cleaning solution. Start filling the top water tank with warm water. Stop when you get halfway full. If you've got the concentrated Hoover solution, add 3 fluid ounces. If you've got the normal Hoover cleaning solution, add 6 fluid ounces. Then begin filling the tank with warm water until you reach the fill line.
I have a matching very similar to the one used here, and there’s a hot water line on the fresh tank. At the top where the water goes in is a cap you turn, this cap (inside) holds an oz of cleaning solution, just pour into water, and replace cap.
I see this video is a few years old so I don't know if anyone will see this. I have this exact machine and while it does the job okay my suction is nowhere near what yours is doing here! Does anyone have a solution or recommendation for that? I've cleaned the clear front section as best I can.
@@show_me_howto They use hot tap water to wash their carpet. All Bissell and Hoover said that their machine needs to put hot tap water to clean it better.
This carpet is not being _steam_ cleaned - it's just being washed with water! Steam is created at 100ºc, when water is so hot it starts to evaporate. If you're following Hoover's instructions - which it very much looks like you are - then your water is at around 40ºc. I'd pay good money to watch you make steam at 40ºc! You could patent that, and single-handedly reduce the world's climate change impact. 🤣
You're right of course, these types of machines don't produce steam but I have always thought of the product category as "steam cleaners". I guess carpet shampooers might be more accurate.

I'm glad it was helpful, thanks for the positive feedback on my little channel!

Nice job explaining how it works- when the solution is deployed and when it sucks the dirty solution up. Thank you.
I’m 27 years old and will be using this exact machine to clean my carpet for the first time. Thank you for this detailed video 😁💕
Glad it was helpful!
Your Video wasn't unnecessarily long, and very informative. I was doing it wrong. Watched this and carpet is very clean. Thank you
Thanks for the comment! I like to make videos that get to the point.
Thank you for the showing the basics...learned more than any other video, especially how to spot clean. Never had seen that technique before well done.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for breaking this down! Other videos don't really tell you much on when to release the water handle when moving back and forth
Thanks. Clear explanation with specific examples.
Appreciate the straight forward instructions.
Thank you for this video. Very helpful with cleaning my carpet with this steam cleaner.
You're welcome!
Bro this channel is so underated
Ha thanks
Beautiful! I so appreciate this !
PERFECT! I do the same and have great results
Never used one of these before and my bf was worried I would break his so I CZcamsd how to use this machine and your video was the 1st video!! Gonna send this video to him to see if this is what he wants me to do!! Thanks!!
Glad it was useful, how did it work out?
Thanks for your advice

yup, gotta go real slow to maximize the scrubbing!
Very good demonstration , thanks!
You're welcome!
2022 and just watching this ha thanks bud.
Your video is the best. Thank you very much.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video!
Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Excellent Demonstration✨
Thank you
Dont forget to properly rinse(solution free water)

Question please do you mix solution and water in the same upper plastic container cuz some of them has different container. Thanks
Yes you mix it together
Why is the machine not pullung water out from the carpet. Its still wet when dragged back on holding the button and without holding yields the same result.
HOW DO YOU LOAD IT PLEASE.

At that speed it would take me a whole weekend to do my house 🏡 🤣 at 5k sqf
Well did you get it done ?
This speed is really for very dirty spots.
How long would you say that it takes the carpet to dry after using this?
It really depends on the environment and carpet. With short fiber carpet If you can get good airflow on a dry day it can be fully dry in a few hours.
The only complaint I have with these is they go through solution quickly and they leak

I use tap-hot water and base the amount of soap on the detergent bottle's instructions, usually something like a cap-ful.
How do you use the rinse?
Switch the dial to rinse, press down go forward and back as many times as you like, then go back and forth without pressing down to dry

Check for holes in the hose that might be leaking vacuum?
When do we use rinse?
I don't usually do a rinse but you absolutely can. Just fill with water and no soap and do it.
Hi. Where's the steam? 🤔 The machine only washes and extract the water from the carpet. I asked hoover, they said their machine doesn't steam...
You're right, there is no steam. It should be called a soapy and hot water (as hot as you put in it) carpet washing machine.
