I recommend everybody watching Hoover's video on how to properly use this device. It's not wash then dry then your done....its wash then dry then RINSE then dry......if you want dry soap residue on your carpet then this is the video for you!

Your viewers might want to know that sooner or later the brush drive will stop working due to rusted bearings in the turbine drive. The good news is the parts are available and the unit comes apart with just a screwdriver. There have been many reports of this problem and Hoover has done nothing to correct it in the manufacturing process. i.e.-substitute ceramic bearings. I used mine 5 or 6 times before it's brushes stopped working. My ex has the same problem with hers, bought 3 months prior to mine. Not a big deal if you fix it yourself but a repairman would likely charge as much as the product costs, only to have it happen again down the line. Aside from that, I love it!
Mine just died this year after 6 years or so I love it so much I brought the same model. I was going to get the pet elite but the dirty water tank looked smaller. Here a tip don't use laundry detergent, Buy Amazon gallon carpet cleaner or Amazon Enzyme cleaner. I think using Laundry detergent ate the plastic cause it would leak like crazy then it stopped holding water and solution. I ignore what Hoover says I take carpet or enzyme solution and mix it to a gallon of water then I pour that in the solution tank.
Don't assume that the person watching this video knows how to use this shampooer. Should have demonstrated where the water goes and the solution. Also, should have demonstrated when to hold the nozzle and when not to.
Sabah Mohammad most cleaners do not even have a rinse feature, it's just an added bonus. I think it most comes in handy in an area that you pretreat with a spray, so there is alot of detergent in a single spot for heavy cleaning and then can make sure to get it out.
Jason Thumb a vacuum and a cleaner do different things. a vacuum is needed to get the dry dirt, pet hair, and fibrous materials out of your carpet. a cleaner scrubs your carpet with detergent and water to remove stains and odors. you really need both, but if i could only buy one it would be a vacuum first, NO cleaner has the suction and dirt removing power of a decent vacuum, and getting a lot of debris in a cleaner might damage it and will definitely clog it up.

Were you successful in removing the spot bot spot?
Almost, you can still see it a tiny bit, but if you aren't looking for it, it has vanished.
How long did it take to dry?
I have this carpet cleaner, and it usually is damp after it's used. It also depends on the type of carpeting you have.
