    Great video! I can almost see this becoming a regular series, maybe even a playlist “The Panther Owners Manual: Tips and Tricks” or something online those lines!
    You could make a video on the locking system too, and how to enable/disable auto lock and what it is.
    Anywho just an idea, great video as always, keep up the great work!

      I've often wondered if the airbags would deploy if the car is parked with the engine off, transmission gear selector in park, and some how involved in a collision with another vehicle.
      I often see people “resting” with their feet on the dash board in the expansion zone of the airbag.

    Sadly I haven't had much CZcams time else I would watch your videos more but, a fun experience I had the other day: my friend got in my car and he never wears the seatbelt. So when the car started beeping he said, "That's really annoying" so I said, "it's supposed to be."

    • @PanzerPlatform
      @PanzerPlatform  Před 3 lety +3

      Right on Connor,
      I had a similar experience.
      In my home state the driver can be ticketed for allowing a passenger to ride unbuckled.
      My friend got in the front seat and politely refused to buckle up. I got up to 10mph, and slammed on the brakes. He had enough momentum to get airborne @ss over tit.
      I had to do it 2 more times before he agreed to buckle up. I'm a great friend.

    Unrelated to the video, I noticed your MGM doesn't have adjustable pedals, or the seat adjustment switches on the passenger side door trim panel. Is your car a fleet model?

    • @PanzerPlatform

      Yo T,
      You are correct.
      Only the driver seat is power, and no power adjustable pedals.

    Off topic, but have you had a problem with a129? Mine just started acting up yesterday , whenever I turn on my a129 duo it would just stay at the start screen with the logo. It started doing this at 10:40 pm yesterday idk what's going on. I took out the wires and SIM card nope still not fixed. I contacted black box but they said to update the firmware I don't think that's the problem because ybe the camera been working fine until yesterday night I'm thinking to return it from Amazon and get a new one thoughts?

    • @PanzerPlatform
      @PanzerPlatform  Před 3 lety

      Yo Captain,
      I just checked the firmware version on both of my Viofo A129 Plus Duo’s.
      The FRONT Camera is V1.0 20200925.
      The REAR Camera is V1.0 20200807.
      Both have been running perfect without a hitch since I got them.
      The current official firmware on the Viofo website is V1.4
      I would try to power it on one more time.
      When it’s stuck at the logo screen, use a tool to press the reset button.
      That should do the trick.
      If the camera begins to function, take a photo of the firmware version.
      If the firmware is not current, I would update it.
      If the camera fails again, then I would return it.
      If you buy another one, you might want to add the 3 year extended warranty for $33, I sure did.

    Why does the owners manual have a different write up on this.
    It says to...
    turn the power on
    Wait for seat belt light to disappear
    Buckle/unbuckle 3 times
    Turn headlights on
    Turn headlights off
    Buckle/unbuckle 3 times
    Seat belt light will light up for 3 seconds
    Buckle/unbuckle 1 time
    Seat belt light will flash for 4 seconds.
    I couldn't get it to work going by the owners manual. but I'm going to try your way. I just think it's weird the airbag light flashes. Obviously it didn't disable the airbag correct?

    • @PanzerPlatform
      @PanzerPlatform  Před rokem +1

      Right on CRC,
      Thanks for stopping in, and the great question.
      Correct, the airbag is not disabled.
      The funny thing about these "user programmable" features is they run from 1991 - 2011 on the Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Car, Mercury Marauder, P71, and P7B. So over the years, Ford had to make slight differences in the procedures to account for different models depending on how each vehicle was equipped when it left the factory.
      This is another good reason to buy a $20 FORScan tool, so you can just plug into the OBD2 DLC and just enable / disable whatever feature you want with a mouse click on your laptop. WJ Handy Dad has some good videos showing how to use FORScan on a Crown Vic.

      Also, this procedure will not work with a malfunctioning Airbag Warning Light / Sensor, or Seat Occupant Sensor.
      Also, when it comes to electrical issues on Police Model Vic’s all bets are off.
      Upfitters, and downfitters from every different agency do not follow an industry standard when it comes to making modifications. So you can find all kinds of weird things.
