gonna go try this today and see if it works on my P7B and then next time I'm at the shop I'll try on my P71. Because I'd love it if the doors would lock when I'm driving and then unlock at my destination
Right on W Dandy, Let us know how it works. Mr. Black947 said it may need to be enabled with FORScan. Would you be willing to pay $12 for Autolock, and AutoUnlock, cuz that's the cost of a FORScan device? -Chuck
@@WJHandyDad What the Jackie Chan face? Then how come you ain't made a video about it? I don't think I've ever seen a video showing how to enable/disable Dark Mode on a police model using FORScan. Right on B-Rad, Thanks for the video suggestion. I know you said you'll be using the autolock since you moved to civilization. But what about auto unlock? Would you like all your doors to auto unlock when you kill the engine, and open the driver door? -Chuck
Yeah my GMC Sierra locks pretty quick and with key in ignition can’t open door from the inside. Kind of annoying. The whole truck is kind of annoying actually. Thanks for the demo Chuck.

This is a great demonstration video and it follows my user manual exactly for my 2011 CV LX. However I have one question. This is my second 2011 CV LX, and this procedure worked on my old one. However, my latest one which I got last week, this procedure does not disable auto lock. I did notice that my new car has DRL, that is the only difference that I can see with it. Could that explain why this process does not work?
Right on XTC, Thanks for watching, and the great question. That just might be a possibility. When I bought this car in 2018 (2010 Grand Marquis) the DRL's were enabled. Shortly after I bought it I had my Ford dealer disable the DRL's with their IDS Scan Tool (manufacturer scan tool). I don't have a FORScan. So it might be worth buying a FORScan for $20 to disable the DRL's yourself. Then try again the procedure to disable the AutoLock Feature. -Chuck
@@PanzerPlatform was just able to disable auto lock today. I tried it again, and realized I was pressing the lock and unlock sequence too fast once I had entered the programming mode.
I think if im not mistaken, this is the first ford car has the side door lights working.. Are they working by default..? I've asked the electrician and he said these are reflectors only :)
Thank you! I'll make some videos where I try all your tricks on my Town Car. Just 1 question: WHY SO FREAKING CRYPTIC? Why are all these controls and options hidden?
You have to remember IMO the body control module or what ford calls the Smart Junction Box on some of it's cars of this generation are dumb as brick. A commodore 64 or an Tandy 1000 have way more computing power. You can only teach it very simple tasks. I think sometimes the manufacturers would have been better off giving us Dip switches or even jumper boards to control options lol.
And... my 2010 Interceptor has it's own 'Anti-Theft' device and the wife found it.. at the store... Due to the Vicky being slammed into park hard over her service I can put it in park and after I pull the key I try pulling it into reverse, just a slight tug, and try starting it... No Start, So pull up on the shifter and 'Viola' pronounce Vi Ola, she starts
Right on Kenny, Thanks for watching. Yes it should. However, sometimes Police Model Vics had "custom modifications" performed when they were in service that may interfere with factory operation.
