What made ANYONE think Joe Manchin was going to do anything different than he's done in the past. When someone shows you who they are, believe them.
The Democratic Party is still too naive to recognize when they're being played for fools by greedy cutthroats, even ones within their own party merely pretending to be Democrats.
Let's be real here. Manchin is a Republican. He's received the most donations from the oil industry, and his family wealth comes from the coal industry. And like the GOP, he is clearly putting his own wealth and the wealth of his billionaire donors ahead of all else. His name is MANSION, for crissakes. He's also a Senator for WEST VIRGINIA. The only way a "Democrat" would even get elected to office there is if they're the most right-leaning Democrat in the state.
West Virginians are responsible for all the GLOBAL WARMING and DEATH that is coming. What a sh--hole State !!
Makes you wonder about those idiots who voted for him
It's their job to at least try. That's what they were elected for
Someone from outside the US, would say, that he was elected to represent his voters and not a party. It's not like he should vote for something because he is a Democrat...
Huge shoutout to Trevor and the writing team, this segment is really up there😂❤️
I agree even though you might want to use Swiss Francs, not Euros to ski the Swiss Alps...
Did you laugh at any of this? He's never funny and it actually makes me mad that he makes "jokes" that people believe are fact like Joe Manchin got everything he asked to be in the bill and then refused to vote for it. Not only is that not funny, it isn't true.
I concur. This was funny.
@@sandyunderpants4376 Except that it is true.
Yeah, I agree. 😂 I saw this comment before I finished the video and I started noticing how I'm laughing more than usual.
My friend is a tour guide here in Germany and she always complains that US Americans tip the least of all her customers - now I get why. Apparently they think we don't tip in Europe 😳
@Robb Stark I know it's a difficult concept but there are actually multiple countries outside of the US with their own customs 😉
Europeans usually tip very, very little (if anything) while they're in the US, so it only seems fair that we return the favor.
That’s funny, I was a massage therapist for years and clients who never tipped were always foreigners from Europe.
@@davidlundquist1979apparently it's the cheapstakes on both sides who are the ones who go on holiday. Truly a shame.
Do you? Well tip for us too, wouldja?
As always, an entertaining show - unfortunately, the low euro exchange rate won't change anything about holidays in Switzerland, as we pay here with the Swiss Franc 😁
It’s the hidden bonus joke; Micheal will be stuck trying to find enough money to pay for his train ticket to get back to Zurich airport 😉
That might have been on purpose because he already visited here when doing the "So many guns" show :)
@@m_stud9631 I loved that one 😁👍🏻
Bad example. Again, nobody ever got economy on the Swiss slopes or in Swiss chocolate shops.
Lol he plays kind of a “dumb uncultured American” stereotype like a lot of the cast so it works out.

Americans cheering the economic problems of another region of the world because "their currency is now worth less than the dollar" is peak USA energy.
Yeah that was weird moment to cheer for sure lol
What are "economical problems"? A cheap problem?
@@nedludd7622 sorry, I don't get, what you are referencing. I am talking about the fact, that the poorest people in Germany (one of the richest countries in Europe) have 450-700€ a month (after rent and obligatory insurance) and will soon have to pay 50-250€ extra for heating. This is why I can't even imagine, how bad people in the other EU member states must have it and they have the Euro too. So yeah, we have huge economic problems, when food and gas is getting more expensive at the same time. And cheering at that because "Muh currency is worth more than yours" is just scummy.
Found it disgusting how they cheered about it.
i'm ok with people cheering for self-ironic (or self-sarcastic) jokes...
and i'm sure some of them even know that switzerland has its own currency ;-)
Bernie has way more energy and passion even though he's older than Joe Biden. I wish he'd been chosen as US president.
He would've had over 100 million votes if he ran. What a missed opportunity he had
Bernie is too far left for most. He cannot even get the nomination.
@@keithhudson3138 Literrally every nominee dropped out and supported Biden when Bernie started becoming a real threat. There are thousands of leaked emails from the DNC showing a concerted and orchestrated effort to prevent his nomination. Don’t act as if it was just his positions that failed
Bernie Sanders is a 2 time loser who sold out to Hillary Clinton and Joe Dementia Biden
@@keithhudson3138 what about Bernie is too far left? The policies he supports are all very popular. Medicare for all, $15 minimum wage, pro labor, etc., are supported by a majority of Americans polls consistently. He is actually quite mainstream with the voting public on economic issues. Bernie is also wise in that he does not get involved in woke politics ( which could be too far left for many). If the Democrat leadership didn't put their thumb down during the primaries, Bernie would have won the nomination and I believe the Presidency.
It's simple: Joe Mansion owns a coal company. Follow the money! Why would he vote for a bill that could tank his business.
Manchin must be happy now - he's outdone Montgomery Burns.
Trevor didn't miss a beat on this one. Dying all the way through 😂
He missed Switzerland is in Europe but not part of the European Union, nor using euros. Swiss Franc is the currency.
@@lorenzoblum868 u can use euro in Switzerland man
@@Instabruh.User.. my
@@erikserum9519 what's your point? You can use US dollars too...Even roubles if you negotiate. Switzerland is in Europe but not a member of the European Union.
@@lorenzoblum868 His point is that Euro is widely accepted in Switzerland, it's commonly used and accepted and nobody bats an eye if you try to pay with it. If you went there and tried to pay with USD or, even worse, Roubles, you'd be laughed at (rightfully so). And no, you can't just ''negotiate'' to be able to pay with a different currency. If the currency isn't widely accepted, you can't use it, that's how this works. If you think a store would be willing to accept dollars just because you are willing to pay a tiny bit more to cover the cost of exchanging it, I highly doubt you've ever been out from the stone you seemingly have lived underneath, at least not for quite some time.
Every joke hit, and they hit HARD. Trevor and team, y’all are fantastic.
Wait till they find out Switzerland has a different currency
Average
The people that clapped about the Euro currency decline, AWKWARD. Trevor made it sound exciting, they were caught off guard!!🤣🤣
My thought exactly Lololol!!!
It's not....they're cheering at the ability of Americans to buy European goods / travel to Europe at a more favorable cost. A currency's movement against another currency does not = one economy doing poorly vs. another doing very well. There are MANY MANY reasons for currencies to move against each other. The Europeans have long cheered on their ability to have cheaper vacations in America and to more cheaply buy American goods.
This place is not cheap what you buy with 100 dollars in US you don't even buy half here so if you think that you can come here with 1000 dollars you will see the reality
Last year Manchin's daughter helped to negotiate a deal on behalf of big pharma. The plant located in Virginia was relocated to India. Hundreds of workers lost their jobs. Manchin wouldn't even meet with the workers. Manchin's daughter made about 30 million dollars on the deal. (story from Democracy Now News site)
Manchins are gluttons
If Joe Manchin is such a stalwart when it comes to economic choices for his constituents, why has West Virginia continued to be in the top 5 poorest states in the US?
He doesn’t do anything for his constituents it’s all about lining his own pockets.
Because it lacks the resources (coal state) and infrastructure (landlocked, no major cities) of other states. It isnt a exactly a major tourist destination either.
The Joe TaliBiden economic disaster is hitting those states hard.
This is a bot account
It's called hypocrisy!
Isn’t there a lot of inbreeding West Virginia as well?
We do tip in Europe, the workers just don't rely on it to survive. Also, Switzerland doesn't use the Euro.
Am I a very boring person ruining the fun?
Yes.
I am here for it
I think that Costa knows that they don't use Euro in Switzerland, because I remember that he talked to some Finnish named guy there about the Helvetic gun laws. So that seems to be some sort of "I have no clue about overseas" joke.
Switzerland doesn’t use the Euro, but the prices for tourists attractions (like “Swiss alps vacations”) are established for European tourists in the first place. Moreover, the Swiss francs is mostly on the same situation (it’s around 1=chf=1€=1$), meaning Swiss people are more likely to take advantage of the low euro and spend their vacation on other European countries (making even more convenient for all touristic attraction to aim for European and American tourists). So the low Euro may still affect the price from an American perspective.
But yes, we’re both annoying and obnoxious persons for pointing out this kind of things😂
it's very Amercian to just pick one of the few countries for the joke which don't use the Euro. should we tell Michael his joke works better with the Austrian alps? he was in Switzerland a few years back for his 'gun laws' report and should know which currency they use
Ok, so first of all, Switzerland is not part of the EU and does not have the Euro. Their currency, the Swiss Franc is pretty strong right now.
Second: we do tip almost everywhere in Europe, its just not seen as totally mandatory, as people are actually getting paid by their employer
Get rid of manchin. He’s killing us
Way way WAY too much power for one person. He's got to go.
Nailed the cadence and volume of the pilot's announcement!
Eh, needed more “uuuuh”’s imo
And the "errrr..." is so typical.
Tips are not a thing in Europe. Not because people are mean, but because it's expected that restaurant owners actually pay their staff a wage they can survive on. Some places though have a 'complements jar' or whatever. Pleased customers can donate into that, which gets shared by all the staff rather than given to a particular person.
Thank you!
Tip pooling is illegal but a lot of stores still do it in California. I wish owners paid a livable wage in America. It’s too expensive to exist.
It very much depends on the country but in Germany and Austria a tip of 10% at restaurants is considered the norm.
Excuse me @Alan Garland... Tips are for sure a thing in Germany.

When the climate gets so bad society falls apart I call dibs on manchin
So you’re public making a threat of violence against a politician??
It appears he is. I guess the lack of enforcement of the will of the people is causing civil unrest.
@@chestercalloway3812 where is the threat, Karen
I am even inclined to not wait untill "society falls apart" but physically harming someone is cowardice. I would rather we remove corporate lobbyism from acccessing our representatives in the first place. Or even better: everyone gets to represent themselves in every decision through their phone in ways such that if corporations really want something specific their only option may be to bribe at least 51% of every potential voter. How about that?
@@chestercalloway3812 What makes a politician so special? They are not above anyone else.
I kinda agree with Biden on this one. Ask about something that matters. Every president who has visited Saudi Arabia (which I'm pretty sure is everyone) has greeted their royalty in some form. That's literally the least of our problems. What we need is if he managed to negotiate with them
A man was killed, he should have kept it strictly business knowing the circumstances.
Especially, since it happened on Trump's watch and trump did nothing.
@@user-ou5pm6gn9j That is true so what was he supposed to do walk past him? That wouldn't work very well
@@B_Bodziak That is so true! Totally forgot about that. Fist bump a dictator or do nothing when said dictator killed a media personnel? I think it's a no brainer here
Agreed
"In Europe, you don't tip." Incorrect. Only certain countries like my own Denmark doesn't have tipping. Last time I went to London, one of the restaurants included tipping with the meal's receipt, but it was still £20 extra.
in many parts of Europe you don't have to tip, it's voluntary. the employer has to pay their staff, not the customer. what the customer does is just a thank you on top
Pretty much everyone I know tips, but it's done as a bonus, not to ensure the service worker doesn't starve.
@@zendakk exactly. greetings from munich
@@embreis2257 Exactly!
London is not in Europe. As someone who lives in Belgium and makes a habit of traveling all over Europe, I’d have to disagree with you. Tipping is for American tourists. No one else tops here because we pay our employees.
Joe Manchin is a coal mine owner yet the coal miners of West Virginia expect him to protect their salaries. Don't they remember that it was the union that fought Manchin's family to get those wages? Now, there are only 50,000 coal mining jobs in W. Va. and they are holding up progress in that beautiful state as well as climate action.
What was Biden supposed to do? Give the guy a hug?
Nope. He should give him the silent treatment and then huff and throw a tantrum and...
Yeah it's absurd hyperbole about a fist bump.
Biden either was polite or not to a controversial world leader and he loses either way because the news will spin it either way.

@@smdwillis so mean! Maybe Granny identifies as a hot young Megan Fox.
Gonna be honest, as a Democratic voter, the Democratic party is too mum right now. Like I really want to ignite some fury in this party because everything is way too passive and insecure. Joe Manchin is an example of that. Like don't agree to pledge support and help to strengthen the economy and then retreat the moment we need your support. But to that, I will say Biden is dealing with a major clean up right now. The only reason I'm being patient with him is because there's a lot to deal with - abortion, gas, economy, environment, finances. And it doesn't help Republicans have been a mastermind in manipulation with Roe v. Wade a prime example of political power. All I'm saying is FIGHT BACK. People are struggling and now is not the time to be taking the peaceful route.
Truth there😗
Biden said nothing would fundamentally change. If you want change then don't vote for people like Biden. Peace✌️
Biden routinely badmouths the passionate Democrats though and blame them for dividing everything. So he’s not really helping.
Biden should not run in 2024. If the GOP runs anybody besides Trump, they'll wipe the floor with him
Manchin is a DINO and isn't really with the party on any of this.
He is in the pocket of Coal and he is corrupt enough to exploit his unique power to pretty much undermine the Democratic side for his own gain.
He can do this because his real views match the Republican party on their agenda and gives him the leverage by holding the democrats hostage.
So he is not going to be reasonable on this as it hurts his bottom line and he doesn't care who it hurts or about America unless he needs to pretend he does to cover his own greed and what he claims are his constituents views.
Either he should run as a Republican or he needs to be voted out of office by his constituents if they are really democrats because only two democrats vote this way and they are not being moderate and they are both corrupt.
Yes they should fight back and we need to vote and at least do our part.

Trever is a natural comedian 😂
Europeans are being told to take cover when it's only 105° out. They would die in Arizona
And then they look at you when you say it’s a dry heat
Yup, we are not used to it. We dont really use AC at all because of that, at least in my country. Humans can somehow handle it, but it's worse with animals 😕
There are a lot of companies in Germany without AC because we are not used to these temperatures. I don't think an American from Arizona would be prepared to work in an office with 40 degrees!!!
@@sigridholzner2807 We have some insanely cold places in America too like Alaska
@@PraiseTheFSMonster I know. But you were talking about Arizona.
Luv ya Trevor...Glad you're back...and your crew😅
