seriously the USA needs to fund mental health care for the elected representatives as well as the citizens
If we have an age minimum, we need an age maximum. I love Bernie, but if you're over 70 - no more being in politics. Not only will they not be around for most of what they legislate, but many suffer cognitive decline.

@@jamieohjamie dunno, I got a 97 year old grandpa who is still sharp minded. FFS he learnt his sixth language at 94... The problem is mostly that the death might hit fast when you are over 80, no matter how healthy the lifestyle, or how smart you are... Perhaps we need to lower the minimum age, and add joint positions, held together by the very young and very old? They could cancel each other out when disagreeing. Would encourage dialogue between generations.

I know most ppl don't like live studio audiences (I personally like them and Trevor really feeds of the energy) but when Trevors Camera crew giggles or flat out laughs just off screen makes the jokes that much funnier to me. Bc you know it's genuine, they're not supposed to laugh and It's so cute!

3:18 _funding_ the police might be alright, *IF* the whole police structure in reformed in the US because the current system has proven to be not just inadequate, [racially] biased and generally failing to serve all Americans but also difficult to adjust. first do away with all local and county police forces. besides the FBI only the states should maintain a police force. secondly and most urgently: invest in training every police officer for at least 2yrs, maybe more. train them in police academies in all aspects of the law and ethics necessary for the job, de-escalation techniques etc and of course personal fitness and how to use firearms without actually killing a suspect.
Also you guys need Internal Affairs to become a body separate from the police. We did that here 2 decades ago and it's working a charm. Well quite a bit better at least.

To be fair, it sounds like he said, "U-ranian." Lest we forget the man had a speech impediment, and may avoid certain consonants at times or talk around them. He also tends to send a lot of his air through his nose (palate issue?), so certain sounds are missed or come off wrong sometimes. In any case, he didn't confuse Ukraine for Iran, and everyone going nuts about it just needs to listen a little better.

i have also heard about biden's speech impediment, something he has had to clearly deal with for many years as a speaker. i am sure he's had lots of folks rib him for mixing up words and sounds. sometimes these mistakes are small and sometimes they're kinda major.

My takeaway from the speech and the rest of congress is that the state of the union is nuts.
the main question people should be asking instead of "defunding" the police, is moving the funding to more training. These videos that we're seeing isn't just bad policing but show how bad the training is since these are situational and could be de-escalated
The police do not seem to need more training when dealing with white people. I wonder why.

He may have stuttered at times, but he worked through it. Just be patient. I had a speech impediment when I was younger. I used to hate reading in class and even avoided saying certain words in conversation because people would always comment on it or make fun of me for it. Reading some of these comments make me kinda sad. It would have crushed me even more if someone had told me that it makes them uncomfortable to hear me speak or that I should avoid public speaking for the rest of my life. Even if it wasn’t because of his stutter, many people struggle with public speaking. I think a big part of this is because people know that if they mess up it’s considered “embarrassing” and people may make fun of them. We all knew what he was talking about, we don’t need to constantly highlight it.
