Imagine entering the school, just as a civilian, and hearing those gun shots, knowing that someone was killing children. And everyone's natural inclination is to stop the shooter. Imagine the thoughts running through the officers minds when they were standing there in the hall. They heard the shots, knew children were dying, and didn't simply stand there. They lied about the scene, and retreated. Imagine retreating, armed with assault rifles, with a squad of other armed cops, and all of them walking away from saving those kids. This is unthinkable.
Because he was armed. They are only brave when it’s someone mentally ill, unarmed, elderly, etc. they are brave “heroes “ when an elderly woman with dementia almost walked out of Walmart without paying for something and they tackled her popping her shoulder out of the socket. Then showing the video to others at the station saying “wait for it wait for it!!” Talking about her shoulder popping. They then left her injured in the cell and gave no medical attention even saying she was fine and it was another inmate who did it. 🤔🤔
One of the cops in the hallway was married to one of the teachers and SPOKE TO HER ON THE PHONE and still didn't go in.
He wasn't allowed to go in. His weapon was confiscated.

Surveillance footage has come out that shows officers inside the school fifteen minutes after the shooter entered the school. Officers withdrew from the building, when they were properly equipped to take on the shooter. And the shooter continued killing children and teachers for the proceeding hour. It was a free-for-all.
Could you imagine mourning your child and you find out about this and then you continue to see this in the news? Man my heart goes out for these families😭

They bust into people houses when they THINK it might be someone bad in there, but not when someone is shooting children. These children have been murdered over and over again. By the shooter, by cops, by the cover ups. Survivors will need some of the best therapy that American Insurance won't pay for.

The answer to Trevor's question @7:20 - why didn't the Uvalde officers TRY to go in earlier - is easy: Their PRIMARY concern these days ISN'T public safety. Their primary concern is "officer safety." They will not risk their own lives for the public until there is *NO OTHER CHOICE.*

So let me get this straight.... Presumably well trained police officers with body armor, assault riffles and a basaltic shield are not properly fitted out to go after a shooter... But a random, presumably less well trained teacher, with just a handgun hidden away at their desk is all we need to stop the next shooter... Is that supposed to make sense some how??? Even if we were to remodel every single school building across the country to have a single door and "man traps" hidden throughout there still seems to be a variable or two missing from the equation.

I have been riding a bike for over 40 years. The other day I had unclipped my shoe about a block ahead of the finish. What I didn't realize is that while I finished the block the shoe had slipped into the clip. I stopped the bike, and boom landed on the ground. 🤣. I hadn't done this since the first time I wore clip in shoes. Thank goodness I am not the President. We make a big deal about something that can happen to anyone.

When police shoot unarmed civilians they always say they were in fear for their life and that has never made sense to me. In reality, the Uvalde school response seems much more like how a person in fear would react.
Cops are bullies. Bullies are cowards. Bullies only act when they won't personally get hurt.
It's how racists react when there aren't many white kids present but no one ready for that conversation
You can see this play out over and over in police violence. When they say 'I feared for my life', it is not the physical well being they are referring to, but the existential threat they feel because of someone scaring them when, in their mind, they should be the scary one. When police are actually worried about their physical well being they are a lot more cautious.

Every time cops “forget” tot urn on their body cams they need to get fined. Have the fines increase each offense until a certain amount then fired.
It should be on before they leave the station. Checked by senior sergeant and double checked by desk sergeant or lieutenant.
If the camera is off, and the cop is involved in any shooting, automatic life sentence.

I think the most depressing thing about this focus on Biden's bike fall is it illustrates how bike illiterate we are. Anyone who has spent a little time in clipped pedals has fallen down like this no matter what age in the same way you would fall down when you try to step if your shoelaces suddenly got tied together. This happens to bicyclists of all ages and abilities.

As a cyclist, falling on a bike with clips or cages is just part of the routine. I have hit the deck a number of times, and I have been a competitive cyclist, it just happens, just glad that Joe is okay.
Glad you said that. I’m not competitive but have put in thousands of hours. I can’t tell you home many time I went down because of those toe clips and how many others I’ve seen do the same thing. I hate it when it happens when everyone can see, let alone the whole world.

@@thepackable the words your looking for are "Absolutely Condoned by the Supreme Court" as the SCOTUS has ruled that officers have no obligation to help you if you're in trouble. Plenty of cases have been thrown out because of this fact, take the guy who drowned just a couple weeks ago because the cop didn't help him, that cop cannot be charged as he doesn't need to help if it puts him in ANY danger.

I am more and more disgusted by the law enforcement response to Uvalde. I’m also saddened that, as a parent, I fear my kids being exposed to this story, because it is that traumatizing. What would kids learn? That not only are they being targeted, but that nearly anyone can get a mass killing machine and the lives of children are not worth an adequate response.
Not only can they get a killing machine but they are being encouraged to do so by a certain ilk of disgusting "people."

They had to have a lock down recently when the major retail grocery store in the area got robbed by 3 men @ gunpoint.
They were caught right away b/c the police station was right beside the grocery store.

If you’ve ever ridden a bike with toe clips or pedal cages, you know it’s super easy to fall over when you stop because you can’t get your feet disengaged from the clips in time.
Wait, cops were waiting for a key to open the door? In all the drug busts I've seen, don't they just ram the door and force their way in? Was this door made by dwarfs to make it so durable as to need a key?
They actually couldn't break down the door, because it was a school/ public building and the cost to replace the door is not in the school budget. Drug dealers doors is a different thing.

I've fallen like that off my bike (once, when a car was coming to the light I had stopped at, in the lane I had fallen into). Clips get stuck, cages keep hold, it can happen to literally anyone on a bike.

If their own children were in that building, they would've acted differently. Police officers forget what they signed up for. If you're not ready to protect and serve, what are you doing out there? What's worse is that one of the cops in the first picture had his wife calling from inside the classroom! She had been shot, saying she was bleeding to death and that children were still alive.
That police officer was detained from going in the room! His wife died and he had his service weapon removed from him so he couldn't take his life with it.

I say police should be held as a complex since they waited for so long and told so many different lives. because of my eyes you can't tell me now 100% certain I am. that they let that kid finish killing all those kids. that's just my perception. like when you the police and you trying to stop people from going in to save the children when that's really actually your job. kind of feel like you hired a gun send them in there and said nope we going to let him finish first and then we going to go in.

Trevor isn't old enough to realize this yet, but he should be giving President Biden props for getting right up after that fall. The older one gets, the harder a fall is on the body. When I was young I'd just bounce up from being thrown from a horse, but now a stumble feels like falling from a 2nd story window. And I'm a couple decades younger than Joe Biden.

Have you ever ridden a bike with one of those toe thingies? I've fallen off those when I was in my 40's. If that's honestly the worst thing you can say about Biden, he's doing pretty well.

My foot got caught in the toeclips when I was in my 40s, and I fell sideways just like Biden. I never rode a bike again.
I fell like that all the time in my early twenties even during races when I was in my college’s cycling team. It tends to happen when you get complacent and stop paying attention for even the smallest moment at the right (or rather, wrong) time.
The question is who gave him that bike. 😜

I’m a healthy 30 year old and I’ve fallen off my bike multiple times from the toe clips. It happens. Some of y’all have never ridden a bike as an adult and it shows 😂

Why is it any time I hear an event involving cops I become sick.
The police were so inept that the Uvalde shooter, Salvador Ramos ,couldn't wait any longer & shot himself. There needs to be some serious consequences for this huge failure of law enforcement.
I cycled for years, using toe-straps. In 1982, after 78 miles on an organized ride in hot Texas, I came to a stop light, could not get foot out of the strap fast enough and over I went...other cyclists watching and laughing! A few days later I bought clipless pedals/shoes. I was told shortly thereafter that its sort of a common thing to happen, to fall over while using toe-straps. So, Mr. President... purchase clipless pedals/shoes, you will be glad that you did! 🐈
