@@damkylan3 That theory was about Darth Plagueis, not Sidious. And its had varying levels of canonicity as time went by, the last I recall the canon was that both of them tried to create life, failed, and the Force decided to create Anakin itself so he could kill the Sith. That theory/canon died however after Legends was closed down. Now we have Disney canon, in the comics Palpatine created Anakin via the Force. So Force Impregnation exists til this day, despite being a really, really weird idea.

Not force healing. The revival of the dead. Adult Jedi are able to do force healing all the time. If Anakin just wanted to do force healing he would’ve stayed a Jedi and the Original trilogy would’ve never happened.

I have a bad feeling about this. If they didn’t mention it here, then maybe there’s going to be a spin-off or Disney+ show about it. Most likely about Lando, Finn, and the other ex-stormtrooper finding out their past. But then they’ll pull the most obvious twist in cinema history and say that lando is Finn and the other one’s father. If this is the case, I deserve a medal.

@@davidb7208 to be fair, the OT has a similar problem. Outside of Obi wan, none of the main cast dies. Han is frozen but brought back 10 minutes into ROTJ and Luke loses his hand but gets a robot one 10 minutes later.

The main point is that George had an idea of what to do while Disney/Lucasfilm had all the source material possible but had no plan for some reason.

Your following NPC is usually your rival, and unlike Finn they actually challenge you to battles, help you on whatever evil team you are trying to take down, or even give you encouragement before big battles. Finn is an insult to NPCs.

Honestly though, I would at least be interested in future Rey DEU (Disney EU) if she had to wander the galaxy living with the legacy of being a Palpatine in a post-empire universe. But instead Rey just DECIDES she's a Skywalker.

Leviathans and bigger fish swim around the little watery pod, harmless, even friendly, tamed by the mysterious occupant: Former Senator Jar Jar Binks, in self-exile for his part in giving the keys to power to Emperor Palpatine, a sadder gungan but wiser now, having outlived everything he once knew-perhaps even his people. Still a bit silly, of course, but now with the wisdom of years, he imparts what he can to the character-be it a Kylo Ren who's lost his way or a Rey or Finn who've lost their courage-and sends them on their way, and they take a moment to understand the costs of wallowing in the past.

He doesn't appear in all movies but everything happens according to his plan. Moreso, the skywalkers don't appear in some of the movies, like this one and the seventh, so why it's their saga? If you ask an average fan of the OT what their favorite character is in the OT, they’ll say Luke, Han, Leia, or even Darth Vader. Chewie is not a major character in the OT(a good character, certainly, just not major). ST Chewie is largely a downgrade yet somehow is better than the rest of the films. That should tell you about the quality of the Sequel Trilogy’s other characters.

Hell if they WANTED to have their big Avenger's Assemble moment guess what? THEY HAD AN ENTIRE ROSTER OF JEDI FROM THE PREQUEL TRILOGY AND CLONE WARS! The fact that they bothered to show that Force Ghost Luke could hold a Lightsaber and manipulate tangible objects with the force (and the previous set up of Force Ghost Yoda using the force to set the tree on fire) could have built up to the Jedi coming back for their last stand against the Emperor, or even just the ghosts of the members of the Skywalker family taking a stand against the Knights of Ren with Ben while Rey fought the Emperor. Instead of the incredible ass pull of "Palpatine destroys himself with his own lightning" LET BEN DO IT! He strove throughout the first movie to be just like Vader, and what better way to show how he followed in his grandfather's footsteps than having him be the one to kill Palpatine. WITH ANAKIN'S LIGHTSABER! The whole set up was right there! He could have still used the force healing that Rey showed him to give what little life he had left after defeating Palpatine to Rey to still die as a hero and then disappear with the force ghosts of the rest of his family, or even be there watching over Rey when she buries the sabers at the end.
Wow! You wrote a better climax and resolution to Kylo’s character than the actual writers could. 👍🏻

That moment you realize your favorite part of a movie is a voice in the background. . . a voice that is from an entirely separate series that, while a part of the same , is completely divorced from anything happening in the movie your currently watching. To add insult to injury , Ahsoka`s voice made me think about where she might be at this point, and then I started thinking about how great CW ended compared to this mainstream, block-buster film and realized how utterly ridiculous it was to compare a masterpiece to a rushed, sloppy piece of work.

Why did Palpatine choose Snoke to be in charge of the First Order when Snoke is a clone-reject joke?
Snoke was supposed to be the "Palpatine" in this new triology, but after his death they had to have a replacement, so they went with the most nostalgic choice which was Palps, so any plot hole or stupid thing surrounding this Palps thing is because of that

@@KeysAndDoorss IMO killing off Snoke the way they did was great, and solidified Kylo as the true antagonist of the trilogy, as he was always supposed to be. The overarching villain? No. But the primary antagonist? Yes. However, that wasn't JJ's vision which is why the ultimate problem with this trilogy is the fact that they played ping pong with the directing/writing duties between installments, which meant no consistency or through line to the narrative. If JJ had been given the whole trilogy, his vision may have made the entire trilogy a somewhat stale nostalgia trip, but it would have likely been a far less disjointed and rushed nostalgia trip. Then Johnson could have been given his own project to explore his unique vision to it's conclusion instead of being given the middle chapter of the mainline saga, resulting in a pretty compelling standalone story that ultimately doesn't fit within the narrative JJ had apparently intended.
@@KeysAndDoorss They didn't *have* to do that at all. Hell, they could have even just ran with the whole "the Snoke that died was a clone" idea and bring him back that way. Would it be stupid? Yes, but it would still be Snoke. If he had some grand plan with Snoke, he could have easily focused the final movie on that with some handwaving of the Last Jedi. There's no reason to think that resurrecting Palpatine was a necessity.
Personally, I think they should have just gone with what we all thought was gonna happen and make Kylo the central villain while building on his antagonistic relationship with Hux. I love the idea of Hux finally outsmarting Kylo somehow and seizing the Supreme Leader chair after two movies of being the First Order's butt-monkey. Maybe even have the First Order get split between the two and start fighting against each other. Play up the whole theme that a movement founded on evil and hatred ultimately undoes itself through its own self-destructive nature, which was always a core part of the Dark Side anyway. I don't know, just seems more interesting than "lol Emperor is back".

My favourite scene was when Chewie had that mournful roar when Leia died, realising his friends were all dead. Luke, Han, Leia... the only ones left were Lando, a man who betrayed his best friend, and two droids. That was the closest I’ve ever felt to crying at a movie.
