To be fair, he was racist however it was against the Hutts (both a species and a clan who deals heavily in business lacking morals such as the slave trade) who 'owned' him and his mother for a period before they were sold to Watto (who treated them far nicer).
The fact that this served as the pilot for quite possibly one of the absolute greatest modern cartoons ever is downright impressive on its own.
I dont know what george lucas saw in this, but I'm so glad he did.

@@thanatoast no, it wasn't pointless. If you even understood that part of anakin's character, you would understand why and how he hated slavery and those who take part in it. It was also partially the reason for his fall to the dark side. His mother died in AOTC
15:10 Dave Filoni actually intended for Ahsoka to be annoying. He knew that any new character he introduced as Anakin’s Palawan would receive copious amounts of flak from the fanbase, so he specifically gave her traits that would irk the audience so that he could control what they disliked. That way, he could give her an arc that rectified those annoyances and turn her into the fan-favorite character she is today.
I like to refer to this as the “Sokka Treatment.”

Yeah, I can vouch for this. I went to a convention when I was young and was wearing a Clone Trooper costume. I was 8 and just wore a halloween costume because obviously I had no idea how to make my own. When I went to get a book signed by Anthony Daniels, he said my costume was “sloppy” and I should join one of his costume workshop/tutorial things he was doing and make my own. I was literally a small child and the guy that didn’t make his own costume for the movies he was in was talking down to me about my kid clone trooper costume.
This was in stark contrast to when I was older and met Kenny Baker, the actor who was inside R2-D2 (the little person that George Lucas and the crew left out in the hot sun in the middle of the desert inside a metal trash can when the camera was off). He was one of the nicest people I have ever met and I was so glad to have met him before he unfortunately passed away in 2016.
I also met Jeremy Bulloch, who was the actor in the suit for Boba Fett. I was 10 at a convention and he came by when me and my family stopped for a rest and he pretended to shoot me with the Boba Fett blaster and said how he liked my costume (also the Clone Trooper costume).
Anyway what I was trying to say from that long history of my life I just wrote was that the other Star Wars actors I’ve met have been really nice and Anthony Daniels was a dick.
C-3PO most of time behaves like an asshole in whatever Star Wars movies/shows he is. I think it's justified what role he got.
look it up guys, every single piece of media with a hint of C3PO voice has Anthony Daniels, even one-off kids show episodes. That really is 100% of his revenue

I always thought it was interesting how some of the expressions in Star Wars allude to the existence of Earthly religions in their world, such as that “oh my god,” and Han Solo saying “I’ll see you in hell.” I know it’s just because those expressions and terms have become ingrained into our speech, but if you think about it within canon, it’s pretty weird.

It's a damn miracle that Ahsoka became such a beloved character after such a rough start.

That’s not a miracle. That’s just character development.
Yeah basically Ahsoka was made with being bad in mind. It’s an excellent example of adding in a new character never before seen in lore or anything making them canon. First step is make the fans either forcibly accept them, or find a reason to make them grow for fans to accept them. They took the harder path (the first path is more or less Rey) they put in dislikable traits in the movie and first season so she could grow past it in later seasons and so you could see her maturity. It’s why by the time she left in season 5 fans were very upset. We saw her through her worst and her best for her to just leave.

To be fair, while George did decide to helm everything on his own, ORIGINALLY he approached Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis and Ron Howard (I know, it's ironic) to help him direct the Prequels but they all insisted that he should handle his own baby.
A lot of people also think the editing problems were his fault when he was only supervising editor (the exact same role he had for the original trilogy)
While watching this show, I was told to watch the Clone Wars movie up to the point where Ahsoka gets recruited. After that, turned it off and never had any regrets XD

That's something that always bothered me about the series too. Like, you're telling tales from across the Clone Wars, why not show the first encounter between any of the main characters (other than Ashoka in this ill advised movie)?
@@JOCoStudio1 It’s because it was originally meant to take place in the same canon as the 2003 Clone Wars series, as well as all the comics and books, which were all produced years earlier. The 2008 Clone Wars would have contradicted that content by showing the first interactions of these characters, which was already shown. That’s why 08 CW takes place a whole year into the war.

The battle of coruscant would be nice to have, although if they had to choose between that and the siege of mandalore, they made the right choice in telling something new.

I think, frankly, the _Malevolence_ arc deserves its own video. It's everything the pilot could have been.

Raul Mejia why do you think that? IMO it was the best way to end the series. The first one left too much unknown and didn’t explore hiccup and toothless’ relationship, the second did but left too many things open ended, but the third shows Hiccup stepping up and becoming a leader of his village, while recognizing that for the dragons to be safe was to leave them.
The only negative I have is the side characters. Snotlout’s “arc” is ret@rded, and the twins are more annoying than ever. Fishlegs is ok.
I love that one bit when Captain Rex got mind-tricked by Ventress into contacting Anakin, and either because the mind trick has limits on how it can influence people, or because he actually resisted it to a degree, he tips off Anakin by referring to him as Anakin. That was clever
So the thing about space lanes is that they didn't phrase it right. They probably meant hyperspace lanes, which would make sense. Going through other Star Wars media, you see a lot of mentions of it.

There are simply no words that can describe how amazing the series is and how bizarre it is that it stemmed from this
Filoni's and George's weird drive to make things too children friendly is to blame for that, even though kids don't watch Star Wars because of the weird poodoo jokes and that sort of thing. At least to my understanding.

And Ahsoka, who wasn't even in the original Clone Wars material (I read the books and watched the ENTIRE show), gets shoehorned into the plot for no other reason but "Yoda sent her instead of more troops"!
They bring him up once when some blue guy tries to connect with Jabba as a fellow father. Same episode that brings Greedo back and he inexplicably can speak English for some reason.

Not exactly. I guarantee her being so unbearable to the audience was not what Filoni had in mind, considering there’s no good reason to make her unlikable. An arc about maturing and growing as a person is great, but there’s no reason to also make them annoying and completely obnoxious when they first show up. You need to make a good first impression with the character and make the audience want to watch her go through this arc when you first meet her, and I guarantee there are many who don’t want to watch more of her because she made such a bad first impression.

Hell clone wars obviously and constsntly references canon stuff in the films which makes pretending the movie exist analogy fall flat.
Honestly, I think the Malevolence arc + that one Rookies episode with the battle droids posing as clones + the battle of Christophsis would’ve made a _way_ better movie than rescuing Jabba’s son.
All I will say is that I am sincerely relieved that you, sir, are not be talking about the animated show, because Star Wars the Clone Wars is a masterful work of art.

at least 40 percent of the show is actively horrible, but the good parts more than make up for it. think about the awful droid arc, or literally every episode that has Jar Jar in it. or that one in the 6th season where Jar Jar and Windu team up to fight Darth Maul's Mother. theres a lot of really bad content in The Clone Wars, but the arcs like malevolence and the final arc in season 7 make the show unforgettably amazing in the minds of most who have watched it.
They managed to turn *this* into one of the most popular Star Wars properties and yet Disney couldn't fix the sequel trilogy.

The Lehigh County Coroner's Office said 25-year-old Christopher Schaffer and 22-year-old Patrick Phyrillas were killed in a crash Sunday afternoon. The crash happened at the intersection of Hamilton Boulevard and Folk Road when their car collided with a tractor-trailer in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County.
According to the International Business Times, both were content creators for Schaffrillas Productions, their shared CZcams channel which is a combination of their last names.

@@noddlefoodle5691 Mandalorian is very mediocre. It works just like TFA: brings back many old characters, gives them epic scenes and doen't care about it's own plot. The entire plot of two seasons: Bounty hunter found that his target is baby with the Force, decided to protect him from Imperials, tried to find the Jedi for him and Jedi came to him himself and solved Empire problem. All of that could easily be told in 3-4 episodes if the show had logic and everyone or at least some people knew Luke Skywalker, Jedi who saved the Galaxy 5 years ago, whos sister is leader of New republic and who is creating new Jedi order. We don't even know Mando's personality except he hated droids, but now he doesn't.
I'm just very content knowing that Ashoka was meant to be annoying so after she gets character growth people like her even more because she grows with the audience and stuff

If you wanna use Jaba right in the prequels, make a point about how he hindered tattooine’s economy, making child anakin’s life a lot worse. Clearly tattooine isn’t exactly a rich planet in the prequels and it could have added some sorta conflict between anakin and Jaba. Remember this is the guy who killed a whole tusken tribe over his mom and then later killed off the younglings, him holding resentment is right in line with him.
I actually really like the prequels. They have exactly what the other movies have. Great story, beautiful environments, fun characters and entertaining action.
They do everything right but have atrocious dialogue and acting so it ends up seeming far worse than it is
I only like the second half of aotc and rots.

There are some things about them that are underrated, but the CGI aged terribly, the acting is atrocious, (except for Ewan McGregor and Ian Macdiarmid) and so is the dialogue, ESPECIALLY between Anakin and Padme. Clone wars is a masterpiece tho. It fixes all the characters. But are the movies good in and of themselves? No
