My biggest question is how do they compare to BC racing Coilovers, Tein, and etc.. I’m just asking bc I’m taking a gander that someone is wondering the same.
Had a set of type 1s about 5 or 6 years ago on an old civic I had.. loved them.
I bought my S2K equipped with those on. I haven't had a problem and they feel good. Good video guys, keep up the good work. Just earned yourself a subscriber!
🤘
While I generally prefer coil over, I do like the idea of air being highly adjustable. Go up to stock or near stock for bumps, drop it for that low experience. Floor it just 'cause you can. Still, I love a good clean static setup.
I had their coil overs on my old 94 B18B Integra, my Type 2s were on the firmer side. They helped me keep up on bends with a Porsche. Definitely recommend them.
What can you say about the damping? I seen some comments suggest the damping knob break giving them no clicks or too much clicks (up to 40+, when it’s only 32).
Would really appreciate your feedback since I’m in the market for some coil overs.
I recommend them I run type 2s on an Em2 Civic and it was a day and night difference and the installation was so easy if I do have a complaint is the rear bump stops on mine straight up exploded but other than that they’re great
Nice video thanks!! Just picked up a set of type two for the Miata build. Installing over the holidays
Just lowered my JSW TDI on 2” drop springs by Neuspeed and paired it with Bilstein race struts and I absolutely love it. Should’ve done coils, but the price was right and I have no regrets
I like the tank setup on the FF air kit
My first mod for my daily 94 Honda Civic was the FF Type 1s to replace the stock coil over that been with the car for 220,000 miles. Bought it for a steal and satisfy my needs for my car 🤙🏼
Great videos guys, a lot of information, but still explained simple enough for a normie like me!
I have a set of Type 2’s in my integra. Its been 3 track days in and so far no problems with them they feel great but if you plan on tracking them you should get the spring upgrade kit for some stiffer rear springs. Other than that they’ve been perfect. Also for Daily driving they feel great!
Just wondering but how have they been so far
3yrs later how they doing?
I have type 1s on my accord and it feels great gives the daily a good height. 👌🏼F&F
What year accord?
@@ryancarey766 1997
@Anton Shurik I compared side by side and I dropped it around 3 inches. I adjusted them before I installed them
@Anton Shurik I can adjust it lower, but I already got a ticket for having it too low lol so yeah the coils can be adjusted lower than when they're from the box
Glad to see some unboxing videos again ...
They’re pretty sweet not gonna lie
Sure would! I’d pick the air suspension for my 2006 Scion xB
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
The soothing voice of Sean in the morning.
😌
Has type 1s on my old 94 accord coupe. Amazing ride quality and durable vs similarly priced options
The ride quality is amazing!
Ordered a set for my 2006 GS430 , type 2... higher spring rate for a reasonable price.. AND two year warranty..
This timing is great. I just installed some Function and Form Type 2s on my 98 Lexus LS400 last night.
That’s what I’m in the market for! Need some aggressive suspension to turn this thing from a yacht to a speedboat
@@Archon_ATYR make sure you get upgraded springs or learn how to mess with the preload. My car definitely handles better but with the standard springs (and being as low as I am) it still has a noticeable bit of body roll and more bounce in the ride than I'd like.
@@DepthsOfOcanthus I actually went with some custom built ones from Ceika Racing set up for hillclimb and touge
Great review! Would like to see one on Riaction coils next!
Ive been wanting to lower my 04 Camry kinda go for that vip look and I think these type 2 might be good
I had a set of FF type 2’s on my h22 eg back in 2014. Great entry level coilovers .I’ve had BC, Feals, Tein since then and I still keep my option that the Functions and form’s are a good entry level, nice riding coilovers
What rides better than FF? Smoother? Should spend more?
I just got my first car for my 19th , a 2017 Subaru Impreza and everytime I watch You guys speak about the give away part of me dies in tears cause that would have been perfect for the car, but I don’t have enough money for merch😭😭😭
I'd go for the type 1 suspension kit
I had F&F coilovers in my autox civic 12 years ago. Always loved the quality
Were they around back then?????
@@chriskeegan8919 been around for over 16 years
I run the function and form type 2’s on my 98 gsr/ type r dc2 along with some massive sway bars front and rear and a traction bar in front and all energy solid bushings and skunk2 camber kits and truhart lower control arms front and type r in the rear and power stop slotted and drilled rotors with ceramic brake pads and 4 piston calipers I would say that my car is a beast
egb18 swap just put in type 1's, After installation with new lca's & a subframe brace PEOPLE they are WORTH It !!! Thank you Function + Form. Will do front rear camber, toe kit meanwhile happy to find qualify at fair price 696 out the door
How are they holding up? I’m in the market for some right now and would appreciate some input thanks!
@@edwinc201 buy them, when you can They solid for my egb18b1 swap, take care be safe
Gonna be getting some for my 99 honda accord
Sounds like fitment industries have an in house coilover line. I'll support after hearing some reviews
i have type 1 coilovers on my acura tl and theyre awesome
I have a 2nd gen TL, how does the ride quality of the Type 1's compare to stock for your TL?
Hoboe Mojo on my 3rd gen theyre definitely good for daily driving bc they arent too stiff and it feels nice and sporty compared to stock
I'm on function and form type twos I absolutely love them
Would appreciate an update. How are they holding up?
@@edwinc201 absolutely great. They are three years old. Went through a wreck that totaled the teal cb7 in my pic. Went on a ex coupe Went through the nastiest snow storm we've gotten in tn (jumped the car off a snow bank) and now they are on a white sedan. Not as stiff as when I first got them but the same as when I made the original comment
FF for entry level or BC if you got the extra cash. I won't use anything else. I have had type ones on my car for 3 yrs no complaints.
What are those silver wheels in top left corner next to the red one ??
I would like to try there air set up
So maybe you guys can help I just bought a 1991 Nissan Cima type 2 with factory air suspension, I need to replace the factory airshocks but can't find any info on the car
I made a model shock
It work
Love the quality hate the customer service from function and form
Good ass review, got an 05 IS300 and I'm looking at way too many damn options.... TYPE2's look like a winner... I have WILLOWS RACEWAY NEAR me in NORCAL, Wanna test this on a track.
Updates? I have an is300 thinking of these as well
Awsome ✌
Do they make coilovers for a 2015 Toyota corolla quest
What are those silver wheels to his right ??? Kinda want them
whoever is first, I have a blue shell 😈
Oh come on wtf?! Bro’s before hoes right?
So how much is the air suspension kit?
Where to buy original Function+Form LCA for Civic EK? TIA.
Whats the price on the air suspension?
Can I get a set of these for a 04 Toyota Camry Le?
I would definitely run it on my car
I thought the question was “What” is Function and Form

Hey! DM us on IG!

Thord
Forum and function has been around for at least 5-7 years.
since 2005 :)
@@functionandform i knew you guys were around for a long time. Keep up the good work.
Nothing for the MK7 GTI?
We have a Type 3 Coming out in a few months that will :)
Fit
top row, second over, chrome wheels name in the background??
From which side? Left or right?
From the left they are the Klutch KF001 and from the right they are Cosmis Racing VCP N5R
I got Type 1’s on my Acura and these shits go low asf and ride dumb nice
#23 aye
I want set of Suspension not Rough ride keep on Kia Optima
my boy got D2’s they ride really good imo
If your looking for a smooth ride then you’ll want just regular OEM shocks from any auto store. You unfortunately can’t get good handling and a smooth ride. It’s one or the other
Would the coil overs and other stuff in the contest work on a 65' to 68' mustang? Lol one with custom strut towers and a 4 link rear suspension 😅🤣 and a turbo barra engine and CD009 swap 👀
Can u do more "the truth about XXX" plz
Now that they got that sponsored air kit looks like Dakota got NO REASON not to #bagthewagoon
I think someone dropped the ball and forgot to show the actual air suspension.
