- Today we install some Function & Form Type 1 coilovers on Project EJ1. This is been an upgrade I have been looking forward to doing since I bought the Civic. I am excited to get these on and get the old eBay setup off the car. Hope you enjoy the video.

Im 51 and still playing with hondas. Im running koni yellow adjustables with neuspeed race springs. Handles great

I was like man I not using that clip right after I said it. Then was like I will keep it for the real ones that watch to the end
I installed these on my crx and the front ones are literally stock heigh at max drop? I've noticed also that on yours, the front thing went all the way into the fork, which is what I thought was supposed to happen, but mine refuses to go any further, even with the weight of the car on it. It still has almost 2 inches worth.
Edit: Nevermind I got it to go all the way. Took some effort but it finally dropped in.

How do you find the ride quality? I don't want to worry about going over every bump in the road
The ride quality is good. You can feel the road but not in a bad way. It comfortable yet it has the quality of being able to feel the road and feel what your car is doing. This is my project car but I would put these FF type 1 on my daily as well that is how much I enjoy them. I think they would be good on a daily or a weekend driver. can I use those coilovers to raise the car 3in above stock height?
I doubt it will raise it higher then stock. I would do some research if you are wanting to lift your Civic.

@@mrsquid7438 type 2 has the dampening. I am going to get type 2 for the EP3 most likely. But I was happy with my type 1s. I still have them sitting in the closet 😂

What wheels are you running on the civic
Not sure exactly what they are. I been ask a lot about them and all I could find was that they were some Buddy Club reps. They use to be black with polished lip. If you Google buddy club reps you might be able to find it. I don't think they sell them anymore. I got them with the civic. Sorry I couldn't help anymore then that. I have the truhart coiloverson my 94 civic coupe and I don't like them 😞 they ride like shit..

Bumper fitment looks a little off
It's better then the aftermarket one I had. Also zip ties for the two corner holes for now. Bodywork and paint should be done next spring. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it
@@CZMate ok gotcha, are u gonna put those quik latch push button bumper quick releases on, or just use stock screws?
Stock screws setup. Not a fan or the quick release. Well I won't need to take off the bumper fast won't be that low. Thanks for commenting. Hope you enjoyed the video as well 💪🤟
@@CZMate yea my integra already had them janky bumper quick releases with rubber bands, which i hate, so i need to either get the quick latch, or put push pin in place.
The push pins ones are nice. If I need them I would go with those. I might end up doing it not sure at the moment. We will see how much I take my bumper off for stuff. Thanks again for the support
