I literally needed this video cuz im building a Bippu styled GS300 and it’s these 2 options or Silvers coilovers, i keep going back n forth in my cart.
Do silvers vs bc or FA
finally someone at fitment industries who can grow a real beard
RIP Alex
I think they just glue it on to save face with the community 🤔
F
they have peach fuzz neck beards..they look horrible

Bc racing BR's: Sub $1000
Also Bc racing BR's: $999
Yeah atm price on these seem to have doubled after 3 years.
Can we get a breakdown on $200 ebay "blue" coilovers next?
😂
Breakdown is right
Had my fortune autos for almost 5 years now they are incredible and their customer service is great
I mean I was already gonna get the BCs but now that poppa told me its a good idea im even more confident
Debating between these two springs for my car atm. Thank you for this video! Super in depth and covers all aspects.
So far I really love these Fortune Autos for my '20 WRX Beautiful coilovers that unfortunately don't get seen except the occasional top hat sighting when I pop the hood. On full soft my wife doesn't complain at all. Haven't gone full stiff as I simply don't need to. They are a dream on course as well.pretty quiet and they now include the pillow all mount
Had my BC’s for 2 years so far, honestly great coilovers! Sure, not the best at damping on certain bumps, but overall it rides very well. And they’ve held up perfectly daily driving in Colorado which has shitty roads and snow.
i put d2 coilover on my FC1! i love the ride 👌
I went with viking double adjustable coilovers.....can't wait to finish my car
How would daily driving (bumps and man hole covers) feel be between raceland primo mono tubes and basic fortune autos?
It’s like this video called me when I needed it the most
I just blew my right strut on my 16 wrx cvt, great time during covid.....
This video has helped me out tremendously. Now I understand what I should be looking at, the pricing, and the overall quality including warranty. I'm gonna go with the F500... If I'm investing in coilovers, might as well do it with these
should just kept the factory one my e46 Coilovers will hold on to my shit and ill abuse it almost everyday but now since you did that mistake and i’m guessing yk about coilovers more now what do u recommend other than bc racing coil overs because i read that they are a lio bouncy
Day 110 of asking for "so you want a kei truck". . .
No
I purchased the bc racing coilovers and i love them. No complaints at all. Drives like a dream and looks way better lowered.
How does it compare to the stock suspension? Stiffer?
@@Playboyer670 I like it stiffer
@@veloonbruts9707oooo you naughty boy
How much did you lower? Do you scrape on bumps?
What a coincidence. I started looking at coilovers right when this video came out
All those pauses had me dead 😂
Very informative, equally entertaining
Very!
Even though they are not very comparable, a video explaining the differences between a brand like bc vs kw would be awesome
Or kw v3 vs rce t2?
If you send in your coilovers for rebuild can you upgrade the shocks from a 500 to a 510 series? Keep up the good work guys!
I want to get a set of BCS for my mk 7.5 gti I don't know if I should get custom spring rates or just get the standard spring rates. I'm for sure ordering the Swift spring upgrade
Just got a 2022 MDX (Advance Package on 20" wheels)...The stock suspension is way too bouncy/floaty (Esp on the front end) for my taste. Comfy but gives me a headache / motion sickness whenever I'm not on the highway. Which suspension would you recommend to improve the road manners on this large SUV? I am all about traction and stability (want to eliminate the bobblehead effect both vertically and laterally...but still maintain comfort and handling to a degree).
Saving up for then fortune autos for my Evo x, I’d love to hear you guys compare normal springs vs Swift springs
I have 510s for my evo x with swift springs love them.
Swift is great, especially if you want to go dummy low. Not alot of people offer 36k rates 😂
Yooo I’m also saving up for fortune autos on my Evo X. I’m waiting till Black Friday to see if they have deals
@@angelmr59 which spring rate did you go with. I got 11k for my evo x
I have the fortune on my miata 8k spring in front 4k in rear regular springs 4 years old and full autocross seasons every year they are doing great no issues and I am very pleased
Love my Fortune Auto with swift springs on my IS300.
Miss my manual it has fortune autos
what spring rates are you running? i have some cheap leaking 12k front 15k rear coils that came with it and they are crashing over bumps. Purchased the is with them on already.
building a 2jzge in the garage so haven’t touched suspension yet.
I have a 2014 camaro and I'm tryna raise the ride height to add more ground clearance, would adjustable coilovers help or not? Any tips?
Good video, helped a lot.
Sean’s voice always make me happy even if I dont have a Series X or PS5. ❤️
If a coilover has an adjustable dampening option and another with non adjustable dampening is the non adjustable going to be the softest, middle or the stiffest setting?
Everytime i watch your guys lovely video I imagine how proud your HS/College English teachers would be listening to you lol.
I live in an area with some pretty good roads but whenever I wanna go visit my parents they live in an area with fairly bumpy roads and some shitty ones so what should I get with a good balance between the two?
I bought a used tsx that has megan coilovers, im not sur eof the condition or age. Is there any maintenance that needs to be done to coilovers?
Very glad I went will the fortune auto 500's.
thanks for the video guys, my girlfriend bought a full set of fortune auto 500s for my birthday and i’m so excited to get them i’ve been researching them all week and my car is in dire need of them (current coilovers are about 5 years old now and are almost ready to go out) thanks for the informational video!
I will say coil over made a big difference, but new quality tires made a HUGE difference.
Tyre, suspension and brake. It will elevate your car performance without any engine mod
@@MegaCibai I need breaks so bad. That’s next on my list.
The funny thing is, is that fortune auto is better for the street aswell because of the piston design. So no kw wouldn't be better if it's just a daily.
Good video seems like ill be going bc extra low now , i was originally going with fortune auto but its just gonna be my daily driver set up i dont track the car or anything and its more budget friendly so BC it is
Can you do a video about the difference between Swift springs and the standard springs?
Had run swift on a kyb setup- predictable, great ride quality, and no sag post-5000mi. Best springs on the market
how come in your link for the bc coilovers I can't adjust the spring rate ?
What’s best for good ride on the street only, no track days. Bang for your buck style?
I would LOVE a set of BCracing coilovers. I just wish they didn’t require welding for my volvo 240
I’m getting some bc racing for my s60r
Loved the 240. My dad had one in 80s.
My brother had a Volvo 240, a 164E and an 1800 sport wagon.
Volvo rocks!
Volvo means 'I roll' in Latin.
I'll get a 240dl in future. Bullet proof.
Cheers
Replying to a year old post but do not get welding coilovers unless you have a good welder who knows what they're doing. Pay more in the begining and you will eliminate headache of bad or expensive welds.
I bought some Function and Form Type 1 coiloves last night for my mk5 GTI from you guys :)
How are they so far?
I want to lower my ride but at the same time I want a smooth suspension, you guys think that the fortune auto 7gen 500 with Default spring and 8k/8k would do the trick?
Fill out Fortune auto’s spring selector and they’ll give you the best recommendations for your car and your usage and needs
So how do you feel with BC DS vs the Fortune Auto 500 series?
How do silvers compare to both of these?
Are this coilover fits in every car?
Are the BC coils good for daily drivin
What one is better for a daily no track ?
I am running BC Racing BR and it's amazing
What are you running them on bro
@@renameduser5279 2012 Suzuki swift sport. Fun little hatch.
@@roincec you recommend them for a daily?
@@renameduser5279 yes
amazing...? they are budget coilovers... far from it
KW Coilover Kit V1 or Fortune Auto 500’s for 8th gen Accord? 🤔
What are these shocks made of? When I upgraded the coilovers on my Miata from a set of dual tube stainless steel units to all aluminum monotubes I dropped 12 pounds! If I had known it was so much, I would have done it years earlier.
Bought k sport coilovers for my 850 volvo they were horrible the rear shocks didn't work at all the whole car was bouncing every. Sold the k sports and bought some BC's now thats all I buy such a good brand. Plus I bought them from FCPeuro who specialize in euro cars and they have a sweet warranty so if they fail I get a new set sent to me for free so awesome
Fortune Auto FTW!!!
Fortune auto all day long
i love my fortune auto's on my corolla
Twin-tube is not at bad design depending on what you're aiming for in a shock. Twin-tube gives you more stroke length to work with than with a mono-shock with an IFP piston.
The adjuster on the top of BC is like any other rebound adjuster.. It's a bypass port within the shock shaft so when you close it the oil is directed more on to the shock piston and the valving stack.
The good part of having this adjuster is you get something to go by when testing different valving. However, When the adjuster only affects rebound you have a check valve installed so the oil only flows via the bypass on the rebound-stroke. I have serviced BC coil-over and other brands but hands down BC I better to work on and the build quality is actually really good. On my daily driver, I use Bilstein B6 because it's the best upgrade over the stock Sachs on BMW e91 the stock setup is super soft for comfort but that's not good on bad roads...
Correct, Twin Tube shocks have now increased their technology as well. Thats why high end companies like JRZ and Moton use them. The adjuster on the BC Racing one-ways always simultaneously adjust compression and rebound which effects the pressure tuning of the shock. This is bad; makes it more prone to Hysteresis, Seal Drag, and Cavitation.
@@4bangermafia wait wouldnt softer suspension be better for bumpy roads?
I want to do this but I heard they can seize in the winter due to salt, cold, & snow but if you live in a place where you get no snow they should be good to go unless there's something you can use to protect them
You can buy coilover sleeves!
@@FitmentIndustries Thx I'll look into those
How are these compared to Bilstein B14s? I currently have Bilstein B8s & H&R springs. It's comfortable on smooth roads but when the street or freeway has imperfections, wavy patches, rough patches, or large cracks, raised/repaved streets the car bounces like a boat lol. Do these coilovers have a bouncy feel or stable comfort?
bilsteain will blow BC's out of the water. I can't comment on FA as there's no real market for them here in Europe
Hell yeah I just ordered a set of fortune autos for my b13 sentra can't wait
I bet you’re still waiting for them to arrive
Lmfao yeah bro just got the tracking# 7 weeks after the purchase.
Its fucking mental..🤣😅😅😅
Great educational video! I have a 2005 Lexus LS430 and I want to get some coilovers that will provide the same or similar luxurious ride that the car originally came with. I don't want to lower the car, I want the same height as originally came with. Would appreciate your suggestions as to the best (not most expensive!) conversion coilovers for me. Thanks!
What did you go for?
@@BySixa I ordered the Megan Racing EZII Coilovers to replace the air shocks in my 2005 Lexus LS430.
All I know is that the Hoonigans and all the drifters at my local track run BCs, so now that’s all I can think about
You can run shit suspension on a drift car.
The drift scene is filled with sub-par parts. Even among the professional level. It’s sad.
@@davan278 I think it’s because of the mindset that drift cars are gonna get beat up and there’s no point in investing too much in one
@@davan278 i don’t like to spend 3k on suspension when i’m doing nothing but beating on the car

Unfortunately not!
@@FitmentIndustries bummer.. lol 👍 thanks for your response much appreciated.
I have a GR86. Can't decide between Silvers Neomax and Fortune Auto 500. I just want a drop between 1.5" - 2" my car is mostly a daily but would like something that would be decent for track incase I ever do and also rise quality is important hopefully nothing worse that the stock suspension.

What about annex suspension?
What’s the best coilovers to get for a smooth ride and be able to handle bumps etc
Fortune auto with swift springs. I have that on my G and rides amazing. No complaints. A buddy has BC and has issues and you can feel almost everything on the road

@@kv8649 how low are you?
BC entry level coilovers are about $1200 now for BMW series 3’s. At FCP. And Amazon.

MaxSpeedingRods are a good budget brand too for just 500$.
Where can you order coil overs and rims in Canada?
for what car? i usually post in a provincial/Canadian group and ask where the other guys are getting parts from, often its some small shop thats kicking out decent volume with low overhead
I wanted to get tein flex z for my 17 accord but I didn't want to have rear camber because they don't font with rear camber plates and for the price of the bc I get the coilovers and Godspeed camber kit are same price. I'm not sure which is worth it.
