Do a video on engine mods only
Proper Tuning of your car. A lot are detuned from factory.
Wheels, tires, suspension at fitment industries ( dakota slaps wheel)
Definitely driver mod 🤘😂
Actualy, I learned ( the hard way) heels and tires. Swaping your 185/60 r15 stock for 235/45 r17 with soft rubber tires (as an exemple) will gain you more traction, and less bodyroll. It will feel like a difrent car.
Before watching I can confidently say that 3 of the mods will be wheels, tires, and suspension
Wrong on all 3

My brain: wheels tires and suspension
Well yes but... *Sweats* but... ... Yes
Yeah
Putting chrome vents from Auto Zone adds 100HP each
Confirmed. Car feels a lot faster. Especially with my new dice air freshener 😌
This is true lol
You have to add some tow hooks front and back though, they help with traction to handle all of the extra grunt.
Extra cooling too
I heard this is true
If you remove your tires, you instantly get a nice drop, depending on your wheel size, it might be flush and fresh.
For weight reduction, drain all your fluids and send it.
😂
How do you get the tires off? Do you gotta deflate them first or just like a knife or something? Maybe scissors?
@@Chrislav7 see thats where you effd up. Why do you have tires in the first place ?
Just buy rims and skip the tires, its cheaper. Its like " ✂️ or 🔥 the springs. Them shittzzz not needed.
@@uhyeahitsme413 The car came with them bro. Must be one of those EPA regulations or a "saftey" thing or something? 😋
Getting your car back to stage 0 is most important. Full run through on maintenance and replacing worn out suspension and steering parts like bushings, ball joints etc will make all the difference.
going to get some new struts for my honda. I have the OG ones in there now and there 29 years old.
Driver's mod would be number one.
That's what I was thinking drivers training
You beat me to it!
You want to race on a circuit or just be a better driver? Get some lessons.
The “I know how to drive” line is the same as a faulty wire.
You never know when the short circuit will happen and you will be a danger to everyone...
Get it fix!
@@metalsiren In short. Tighten the nut between the seat and the steering wheel.
@@saulekaravirs6585 that will work if you have a screw loose😉👍
TRUTH
What y'all did with the wheel package is so simple, yet so creative. "How do we change the wheel game? They're just wheels."
...how about we send them out together with tires and make sure they'll actually fit on the car before we send em?
...genius. global success.
Like simple, yet creative. You guys are amazing!
You’re telling me my stickers and lambo doors won’t make my car better 🥺🥺
They should will add some hp and weights.
Lambo doors theoretically could be a performance mod if they weigh less than the regular doors lol
This one isn't as much performance as it is longevity, but a good air/oil separator system will reduce oil blowby and you can mod with peace of mind. It's my number 1 mod imo
Day 3 of asking: So you wanna go to car meets! (for people like me that are in to cars but cant find any around me and when/where some of the big ones are across the state) Keep up the great work FI
Ayeeeee acknowledgement!!!!! Hope this happens I hate that no one is into cars and it’s all about that lifted truck life lol
@@trentonjohnson4600 hey man where you at? Might be able to help

try looking for car groups on facebook. there are a lot of those and you may find local open invitation auto crossing / motorsport racing groups. i live in alaska and there's an amazing and huge community here for that.
@@gerardocapuajr297 I can’t find any on facebook :/
They changed their channel logo. Crazy cool 😎
I'm liking the blue 🔵
Ngl it looks kinda weird cause I’m used to the black. But it does look cool
I love how Linus made an appearance on this channel lol.
“We got drag races to lose” Damn... that’s gonna make some people angry. 😆
That's me
Yeah, mostly the grammar police.
I drive a wrx so I’m used to losing drag races 🤷🏻♂️
I do own an ecoboost
Changing the rims for other less heavy really makes a big diff .... my stock rims where 12.5 kg and changed them for 7.5 and the car felt way better for handling and more predictible
Halfway the video I realized am watching Alex.fi and not Linus Tech..
6:10 I think a bit of that "Wisconsin Twang" leaked out
I honestly thought that was slang but twang makes a lot more sense lol
Everytime he fixes his sleeves take a shot 😄
That bushing that looks like it’s from Chernobyl 😂
Love my Michelin Pilot 4s' . absolutely one of the best tires I've ever owned . highly recommend!
You guys are awesome! The best videos. Very informitive.
There are a few cheap yet effective mods that you have overlooked which is polishing and/or porting the cylinder head, oval valve springs, ceramic coat the parts where heat is passing through such as the cylinder head and the whole car's exhaust system to keep the temperatures down in the engine bay to get a least 10+ horsepower as I have heard about from a Wheeler Dealers episode where they were restoring an old classic car can achieve.
As a car and tech enthusiast, I appreciate the @LinusTechTips drop kick on the TV.
That was awesome.
Really enjoying your content at the moment, keep it up, much love from Australia. 🤙🏽
This Fitment Industries era will always be great to watch, thank you for these fun + informative vids :)
I just got an 8th gen si and first mod I did was upgraded shifter bushings and got a short shifter adapter and that improved the feeling of the car. Such a cheap little thing and it made a huge difference to the driving experience. I highly recommend
Intro is sick!!!! I hit the like button right away
Short shifters you won’t get a huge performance boost but your fun level goes up about 10 points
Best mod for a brand new car you bought is a full service, followed by a cam belt change, clutch, tyres, brakes and anything that will bring all the mechanical stock stuff to how it should run.
A good idea is to improve everything that needs replacing so you don't do it twice
I've done alot of these to my cars and truck taking my 350z to the dyno to get tuned in March can't wait to see what she makes
This really is awesome. I run a 1.9 turbo diesel, I have an EGR delete and a Tune on it, it makes my car fun, AND efficient! I get 50 miles per gallon! And I enjoy driving it too. My Dad has the same mods, and upgrade injectors, fuel pump, Turbo, a tune, and a straight pipe, the cars fast and it sounds like a dream! These videos are awesome!
Blinker fluid 🤟🏾
Just started my build finished my luxury requirements sound system and tinted windows. Breaks were bad so I just upgraded to powestop slotted n drilled. Working on wheels now that will be the only giveaway for what your dealing with, some nice konigs on good years and lowered rest of the build will be focused on the engine n exhaust
I like how linus and collet were in this woot woot
I'm glad you mentioned bushings because changing the engine mounts has been the most impactful, wildly noticable upgrade to my 100k focus 5 speed.
I drive 2015 Ford Focus titanium, with the 5 speed in it. essentially a non boosted ST (even has snowflakes on it lol). just bought a quality catback exhaust. I’m still low mileage but what impact does the motor mount make? I see it on ST forums all the time but never understood it. also, assuming yours is also not boosted since it’s a 5 speed, what kind of tune are you running if you’re running one? I can only find eco boost tunes for the ST and I’ve done a ton of research and I’m stumped on where to go. any advice from anyone seeing this it would be greatly appreciated lol
Owning a diesel x5 I can confirm that the dpf and egr deletes help immensely, coupled with a tune and catless downpipe. Highly recommend.
I've got a Series8 FD3S Type RS and I was thinking about getting softer suspension for a weekend cruise.
Petition for a FI and Donut media collab
Your videos make my day brother 🍺
Personally I would say a weighted shift knob (but nothing to crazy) it changes the feel when you shift and makes it smooth wen driving. It might not be weight reduction but it’s a big difference to me
Production quality is thru the roof.
Shifter bushings and a short shift kit!
Smaller steering wheel!
Improving anything you touch very frequently in the car will greatly improve the driving experience.
Also a good quality transmission fluid and brake fluid will make a night and day difference in shifting and braking feel!
First things is exhaust makes it easier to know when to shift...
So I have an 09 civic si completely stock, I actually stalled the car several times because I couldn’t hear the shift points lol... so the exhaust was my first mod... not too loud but currently running invidia q300 ftw 👍
Nr.1 lightweight blinker fluid
Honestly. Bushings are super under rated. You say you got poly bushings and no one bats an eye until you are lapping miatas at autocross. Because 1990s bushings aint still workings, but yours are.
Gotta do that blinker fluid delete
Can you do a video of the kia forte gt 2020? Whats the best tune despide of the turba that has already
Brace bars, stabilizers, bushings lighter wheels and some chassis work and suspension
Things that are usually overlooked but make a huge difference are stiffer sway bars and I think a diff with slightly shorter gearing or an LSD if you have an open diff. Night and day difference.
Lowering springs, catless DP and exhaust
I think mighty car mods nailed it when it comes to modding your car with WRECK IT
Wheels
Rubber
Exhaust
Coilovers

Best mod I did was the catless downpipe 👌🏽
True with tires, especially shaved tires and heat cycled tires with Toyos r888. RLTW
Hey Man, Amazing content, I went to your website to find the suspension options for my VW Polo 1.5 TDI (in India) just to learn that it is not called polo in the States, well if you could look it up and suggest the coilovers I can put in my car, I would be glad :)
This list is the right one. It's my mod list. Additional , IMHO- motor mounts, subframe collars rubber bushings kit instead of poly, sway bars, vented hood, race header instead of test pipe, ++ tires as stated Michelin tires or blizzacks for snow. Plus the old clubrsx advice- steps 1-3 Learn to drive🙂
This video auto played, and I thought I was listening to Linus talk about cars 😂
Nice video
I went against the advice of some people and went for seats first for my MX5 NC
I actually try to spend 100% of the time I'm driving in the seat and the new ones hold me in much better than the stock leather seats
I'm thinking a decat manifold is next on the list (UK so I have to keep the mid pipe one)
Shoutout the Vette crash at Seekonk Speedway, saw that one live and I couldn’t believe it
Whats your opinion.....
on high performance cars that come from the factory with high performance tires(maybe R compound?) and therefor have there suspension/chassis tuned around those compounds VS bolting on a different set of track tires.
Like switching from a factory set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 to a set of Pirelli Trofeo R's for track use???
Suspension parts. Upgraded sway bar, bushing
Could u guys make a video going into detail on how and what to replace if you want to rebuild ur suspension 🥺👉🏻👈🏻
The homie Alex!!
wait.. is this my most favorite CZcams vid ever?!? awesome energy !! wooo-tzz-tzzz-tzz-tzzzzzz
I got an extra 25 🐎 when I put my Fitment industries sticker on my Z. Can't wait to get my Artisa wheels because that most definitely going give me another 50 🐎....FACTS!!!
Thanks for another great video bro. Keep them coming💯
It’s so funny the way he says “tyres” 😂 t
To be honest TIRES, then driver mods and then all the stuff you mentionned in the video👊👌
Does it make a huge difference if I get headers test pipes and intake for my q50 3.7
How about a new/improved steering rack? Either after market or from a higher performance OEM model?
Big question then. I want a Cobb tuner for my Golf R MK7, which will be the best tune to go with?
Got UEL and tune on my GT86, feels completely different.
Tunes are great
What a uel?
@@ranek3279 Unequal Length Header, for the exhaust
@@MrMudkipzz_ aren’t uel headers worse than 4-2-1 or 4-1 because the uel causes too much back pressure when the exhaust fights
@@poboypowder7567 If I wanted pure performance I would've gotten a el, in terms of 421 or 41, not sure. I just wanted no torque dip, a bit more power and the rumble sound
Commenting for the support.
Man that Linus spinning back kick got in shock! Like DAYM!
The clip of Alex's granny shift in that drag race is the best thing ive ever seen
I definitely agree with the tires, I used to run bridgestone 275s they were a bit on the old side, I ended up investing into some 295s nittos, not only did I not spin anymore, but they felt more grippy, sadly I sold the car though
Make some Artisa wheels for old Toyotas and Datsuns
@@Hallowsaw I was thinking 15 or 16 inch 4x114.3 for A series Celicas, early E series Corollas and 240s
Make some dope spinners for the Prius drag racers out here 🤘🏻
@@Hallowsaw since when Matrix models are old? 🤣
I live in California so any engine performance mods are out of the question 😭
Only if you’re a nerd
If I'm on stock 18s and move to 19s all around can I get rid if the spare 18 in the trunk on an s550 mustang
You really called me out about those bushings😂😂
Please make a What Fits Video for 8Gen Camry :)
COBB really do be making them cars faster
Number 8 cylinder delete tune
Talk about edfc. Or adjusting coilovers on your own. 😁😁😁
Best first mod would be wheels. FROM FITMENT INDUSTRIES! I bought a Black Avid 1 set from you guy! Love it make my car look so much better and I was surprised of the extra grip I was getting because of a wider tires❤️
Depends on the car, but the 2 biggest ones on a 2013 C63 are tires/wheels and Eurocharged tune.
I gotta shout out my tuner bold cars in alhambra CA. I bought a used 2017 BMW manual 340i. their stage 2 is just a catless downpipe and charge packs and I went from 350 hp to 520 hp. burrrrrble pop pop. LOVE THIS CHANEL yall are rad!
this by far the CZcams channel that best represents me... watching you is like hearing my own mind. Witchcraft!!
I like the intro
Just subscribed💯💯
I just ordered bc coilovers for 11gen Corolla from fitment I still want to know more about them if only the Corolla community was bigger
those artisa wheels come in multi piece?
Great channel but they don't have anything on the website for a '07 trailblazer SS
0:11 best aaaa ever
Hey FI team! I was just wondering if you had any plans to produce your artisa wheels in a 5×115 bolt pattern with a +30/+40 offset in 9×19 or 20? I know, super specific, but us AWD challenger/charger guys would appreciate the love and some more options out there!
Wow. Seeing Linus in a fitment industries vid was like my 2 worlds colliding 🤯
A better brake pad and rotors I feel make a good argument if you are trying to get more feel out of the pedal and same with upgraded brake lines.
1:25 man i needed that 😂😂😂
The right diff ratio makes a difference
I would love to see an episode of "So You Want A Trailblazer" for some of us that have one and want it to be built more for the street than off-road
We be living I Wisconsin got a mrk 6 GLI
If you don't want a loud car what mods can I do to go faster with more hp for a 2013 Honda Civic LX Auto
Whats the difference between header/catalytic convertor/ or catless which one would be quiet? Whats the best tune program to use simple for faster. Hondata?
