  • This video shows how to properly adjust Function and Form coilovers while on your car. These are the Type ones on my Integra but it is the same process for all other cars with the function and form coilovers and all others alike. If you have any questions leave comments below and make sure you tighten the locking perch after adjusting! Stay low my friends.

    Your video is better than the actual function form video where they tell you to unbolt from the LCA and spin the lower mount and reassemble. What a terrible way to adjust coilovers.
    This is the way!

    From what I know you do not fuck with the spring pre load like you just did. You were suppose to just lower it with the bottom part.

  • @NewWorldRaza
    @NewWorldRaza  Před 11 lety

    They ride really smooth for how high the spring rate is, and to the point where you can't drive over a pebble.

  • @NewWorldRaza
    @NewWorldRaza  Před 11 lety

    Not sure about inch wise how low or how high but I think the highest is maybe a half inch or inch from stock and the lowest is what I had mine set at and you can look at my other videos to see what that looks like.

  • @Kerseluchiano

    honestly i think you are doing it wrong. I thought your not suppose to mess with the top spring or it causes shocks to fail quickly. and it voids the warranty. i loosen bottom perch and twist the bottom up or down not messing with the spring rates. If im wrong i apologize.

    I have ff1 on my 5th gen prelude.
    I have an issue with adjustment.
    Ideally I would want all 4 coilovers EVEN based on your measuring process.
    However when my car is in the floor and even after driving around, the height just is NOT even All around.
    It's almost like I have to measure everything different.
    What could be the cause of this?

    I lied, I was told these drop lower than Koni/Ground controls. They deffinitely do now. I recently maxed them all out on mine. It's low but now on the drop low. I will have to upload a video soon for you guys to see.

  • @NewWorldRaza
    @NewWorldRaza  Před 11 lety

    I was told they go lower than Koni/Ground controls. They definitively do not. Yesterday I recently maxed out all of my coils and they aren't as low as I wanna be. Don't get me wrong i'm low but not street sweeping either. :/ I will try a post a video of my car today if I can figure out how to use my girlfriends Cannon T3 lol.

    • @coltondrifts
      @coltondrifts Před 10 lety

      I know the main difference between the type 1 and type 2 is that the type 2 has dampening adjustment while the type 1 does not. The ride quality is great even with the type 1 AS LONG as your pre load is is where it should be, if the pre load gets out of whack the ride can get bouncy.

  • @heyitschinoable
    @heyitschinoable Před 10 lety +5

    Your not suppose to lower it by the perches you were turning. Delete this video before people think this is the right way when its not. Fucking with the preload will give u shotty ride quality when in reality theae are great coils. Your suppose losen the bottom perch undo the bold from the fork and raise or lower the bottom red part.

    • @dillonshelton4021
      @dillonshelton4021 Před 9 lety +2

      He wasn't changing the pre-load at all. He was turning the lock ring upward into the bottom spring perch which was turning the whole thing and not just the ring. If he wanted to lower it he would turn the bottom spring perch into the lock ring. Pre-load wasn't affected because when he turns it the whole assembly moves and not just the ring.
