The match was going until the ref messed it up then it became sloppy then the girls picked it up again

Always makes me giggle when people say 'Jade looks like a superhero' or 'Jade is out of a comic book.' Comic book heroines don't look like Jade, except for She-Hulk.

(IMO if Jade had short blond hair, she could also be a real "Deep-Cut" Marvel character: Lucas Bishop's sister Shard, but that's just me. Also, Jade's brother looks incredible and could absolutely look like a young Lucas Bishop.)

Consider the short amount of time she's been wrestling. She's already better than Sting was back in '88. People didn't care that much about technique until really the late 90s. I think she's doing fine.

When Cargill caught Sane and did her whole adjusting-her-for-her-finish thing… damn, they nailed that. She hella strong. And I love her with Bianca. Feel like she brings out an edge in Bianca.

The thing that gets lost in all of this was Asuka was injured so bad she could barely walk before the match. She did what she had to do to go Wrestle 17 minutes. If Rhea did that Jim would be praising her like there was no tomorrow.

Joshi warriors have to be the most touchy and whiniest of the fandom, crying because their girl isn't constantly flavour of the month, save for AEW hardcores who have a lot to whine about rn.
@chuckles9767 a while ago, there were rumors she was hurt, and she was wearing a knee brace during the match, but I'm not sure if it was KNOWN known, if that makes sense. I also don't follow every little tidbit of news that comes out.

Jades gonna get better. It’s good she finally had an oops moment in the ring this early. You could tell she was saying sorry to Bianca after the match. Now that she got her lost moment out the way. I think she’s gonna be a lot better moving forward.

@@jeffreym8503 Goldberg deff had ooops moments in WCW during his undefeated run. Wardlow too, a lot of big powerhouse wrestlers who wrestled short matches all had awkward moments a couple times. It’s normal.

This Thumbnail is EPIC LOL and pretty correct. it's a good move, they look amazing, Bianca is the Workhorse ,Jade can look good, do the 5 moves she knows. and they LOOK like they've been tagging forever.
the ref shined a light on a mistake that the crowd covered up perfectly. on peacock at least. hes got to stand up and take charge not explain what’s wrong on a live mic.
No, the ref made the mistakes.
Jim falls in and out of love with Bianca constantly. First he scoffed at her when Brian said she was great. Then Jim apologized after her Mania match with Becky. Then loved her more in the Summerslam rematch. Then Rhea started getting booked better and he didn't wanna give Bianca anything over Rhea so he went back to finding reason to knock her. Then came the Bianca/Io match at LAST year's Backlash where Brian told Jim to watch it, Jim skipped it, Brian got mad, saying it was the best match on the show, Jim went back to watch it just to prove him wrong, only to end up agreeing that it was and that it was excellent. Then out of love with her and now in again.
Yeah, it's weird. I remember him even having a pop at her height at one point, even though she's reasonably tall by women wrestler standards. I think Corny sees her a threat to Rhea and he's very protective of Rhea. The only two women he goes all-in on are Rhea and Charlotte. He never really gives Bailey her due either.

There they also put together the veteran worker (Butch Reed), with the less experienced star on the up-swing (Ron Simmons).
Btw for my money, one of the most underrated teams.
If I'm not mistaken, the only team with a victory over both the Road Warriors and the Steiner Bros.
I'm surprised they didn't bring up how awful the ref was. He was 100% the reason the finish was so sloppy and seemingly improvised to save the match. Between the language barrier between the tag teams, the chaos with who's the legal participant and weird tags and the ref literally being behind on the final count to the point where the crowd got to 3 a second before him, he absolutely messed up the flow more than Jade's "stiffness".
Yeah, he was acting greener than Jade.

lol, means he’s taking her seriously! Although I often go back to the clip of Jade/Jane’s debut on AEW in what had to be one of the most bizarre segments I’ve ever seen. Their commentary over it is truly hilarious and gets me every time.
I think the Jane/Jade thing was his way of saying that it's hard to break first impressions and when he started calling her Jade he said she finally got away from that
I got a chuckle when the ref had to tell Kari that she wasn't the legal-man and she either didn't understand him or was too excited to listen so she just kept going with the ref awkwardly having to go along with it.
They are smart putting Jade with Bianca to learn from because she's still very very green and it shows big time.

True but she has learned more since the Rumble than she has in the past two years. Which is sad. Jade will be fine. Hide her flaws by being in a tag team. Her first solo feud will be Bianca who can lead her. As green as Jade is, she is still better than Liv. At least Jade's offense is power. Whoever Liv faces has to work extra hard to convince and sell that sub par offense.

If it weren't for all the back slap tags and people running in the ring for too long, the ref wouldn't have gotten lost as to who was legal. They just gave up in the end 😅

Sure Kairi wasn't legal, but Asuka stayed on the apron and she tagged Kairi, so that made Asuka illegal but she hopped in the ring and the ref let that go. All three, Kairi, Asuka and ref messed that up.

“Oscar and Carrie” will never not be funny.
Kabuki Warriors are the perfect heel team for getting their tag team over. Both very experienced and good at getting heat and both very interested in making the match work. Both made Jade look like a million bucks and that's what she needs to keep doing, work with experienced hands who are good at getting wrestlers who are limited over and leading the match. Asuka did this a lot during her NXT run where she got put with people with not as much experience and not very good in the ring but managed to get a good match out of them using what they can do. She did it with Dana Brooke and nobody got a tune out of her since, Cameron had her only serviceable match with Asuka, Eva Marie, Nia Jax and a bunch more. That's what separates the talented wrestlers, anyone can have a good match with a top guy or somebody that wrestles the same style. but the best wrestlers of all time could have a good match with anyone.
Very intelligently put
Letting Jade and Bianca tag together and hold those titles for a long time and defending them regularly will boost the women’s tag division and also help Jade iron out any greeness she has left, If done right this could be a win-win for everyone in the women’s division.
At one point during that patch where they got lost, you could hear the ref lean in and tell them "Double Goozle".
Before that I was yelling double goozle. Like, jade needs to get that instinct where she can relax and communicate and get back on track.
I am shocked that Jim didn’t bring up about the ref not counting the pinfall attempt by Kairi Sane because she wasn’t legal
The Kabuki Warriors were the perfect opponents for Jade and Bianca. Two veterans to make Jade and Bianca look strong. Asuka should be commended for doing the match with an injury. Jade and Bianca do look like quite the team together. Two powerhouse females .

The confusion during the match at one point seemed to center around who the legal wrestler was for the Kabuki Warriors.
That was the Skye blue finish that was used on her on there match at Battle of the belts.
And Skye blue on AEW Unrestricted podcast 12.55 talked about there match and came up with the finish.
Standing next to a genetic freak like JaNe Cargill shows even more what an impressive specimen Bianca Belair is - her combination of size, athleticism, looks and in-ring ability just might be tops in all of ladies wrestling.
Bianca music is awesome with the horns! Her music fit her movement coming to the ring perfect....

The fact that Jim no longer calls her "Jane" says a lot about her improvement.
It’s so funny because when they were starting Jade & Bianca teaming up, I couldn’t see it. I couldn’t see how it would work. But they’ve absolutely nailed it here. Bianca covers Jades shortcomings in the ring and Jade covers Biancas presentation. They compliment each other really well.
This is a great way to get Jade in the ring, get her some exposure, raise her star power, increase her experience and get her some reps to improve in the ring until she’s at a level where they can do the typical “team mates turn on each other” trope and have a 1 v 1 with Bianca at Wrestlemania or something
Bianca, Jade, & Namoi are the perfect 6 women team.

I'd like to see Jade & Bianca go up against either Raquel & Rhea or Nia & Piper.
Jim’s come a long way from saying Bianca looks frail and weak and doesn’t deserve her push because she isn’t as tall as Rhea. He’s also come a long way from refusing to say Jade’s real name and saying she looks like a man. This is character development before our very eyes.

I'm a fan (for the most part) of Jim, but it seems odd how he now gets Jade's name right, but when she was in AEW it was always "Jane", like she wasn't worthy of being recognized correctly. I get that he makes up names for people sometimes, but the sudden change to getting her name right seems to be a bit of a double standard since her move from AEW to WWE. Thats just me - no knock on Jim. Just wondering why the shift?
AEW didn't do anything interesting with her. When she was TBS champ, she'd mostly wrestle jobbers and not have a serious storyline. Maybe that's why.
This honestly is the first time he hasn't called her Jane & while I've never agreed with it, he explained his shift in the video.
Jim calls people by their actual name when he begins to respect them. He's started calling Kenny Omega by his name recently.

Jade is more like Sid than Luger, the way she towers over almost everyone and has that crazy charisma. She's obviously a lot more athletic but Sid could surprise you on occasion with stuff like kip-ups

How about the Women's Macho Man & Zeus? Bianca absolutely carried Jade through that match. Jade has a 10 look but a 2 as a worker.

I immediately thought of Luger and Barry, but now I wish they could be modeled after the Road Warriors, letting them take on all comers, but smash through them on TV and test Jade in longer matches on house shows. Unfortunately, Bianca has such a heavy reputation they'll end up putting her back in the main title picture and this break up angle will come quickly.
Pairing Bianca and Jade up was smart. If they had isolated Jade and made her a monster like in AEW, her gimmick would have fallen apart when she faced Bianca Charlotte, Rhea, or Raquel and we finally could see she wasn't much taller than most of the stars. Highlighting her similarities to Bianca makes Jade look more impressive through association, and she already feels like an equal to the rest of the main event.
Hearing Cornette say this makes me want to see Jade and Bianca vs the 'Divas of Doom' (Nattie and Beth Phoenix) in their prime.
Beth could still give them a good match! But yea, wow that would be epic. This is real women’s wrestling!
