I tuned into AEW tonight and saw their champion wrestling someone who looked like an emo kid from high school and immediately switched back to the Wolves game, which was on commercial
But you missed Malakai Black getting JAMMED by Brood Edge while Dark Helmet laughed in his basement, plus Darby coming out with a Flame Thrower to run off the DoucheBuck, After Tony dropped him off at the Arena. Of course, the best thing was during Jay "Switch the Channel" White awful Promo someone shouted, "Who Writes This Shit?"

Sure this wouldn't fix anything but certainly better than whatever they've done till now.
The most obvious story they could've had was Saraya(Paige) calling out Mercedes for nearly ending her career. That makes more sense than Mercedes little gripe with Willow who didn't injure her btw.

One thing I think Jim is forgetting... Vegas is 3 hours behind EST. There's no guarantee it won't go past midnight. They are just guaranteeing the main show won't go past 3 AM.

Like at least Taka Michinoku and The Hurricane would get wins and long title reigns in the Light Heavyweight and Cruiserweight divisions respectively. I love Corny but sometimes I don't understand him. Especially about Taka when Taka was an incredible worker who was believable despite his size since he was a genuine irl badass and would find creative sneaky babyface ways to beat heavier opponents.

The thing most people remember about Taka Michinoku - other than his finisher - was "Choppy Choppy Ya Pee Pee".
That's Corny's beef. It's not like Rey Mysterio who was largely always booked strong (other than the occasional destruction, like Jack Swagger did to him).

However his init Light Heavyweight Championship push and feud with the Lawlers was one of the best parts of 1997 and 1999 WWF TV. And in Japan he's a bona fide star and great workhorse. Hell, New Japan put him with Sabre Jr. to be his hype man since Sabre. Jr has the personality of wet moldy cabbage.
Reportedly, there will be a few surprises at this PPV since it's the 5 year anniversary so maybe we'll get a couple of wrestlers returning from injury Sunday..........
Regarding Paradise City, from what I understand it’s where the strip and the nice new casinos are located. Actual Vegas is the old Vegas and the tax rate is too high for casinos to want to keep building there hence the older casinos and more ghetto type of areas. So when you think Vegas nowadays you’re actually in Paradise.
I met MJF a couple years ago at a Con and I asked him why he couldn't beat Sammy with a tombstone from the 2nd turn buckle. He told me, "He's too stupid to lose to that move." Fits perfectly with what Jim says about Orange not selling the piledriver on the steps.
