I rarely comment on fan made videos for two reasons. First, I know that lots of people worked hard on them, were unpaid, and only did it for the passion they have for Star Wars. Secondly, because of our collective passion, emotions run high in any discussion and a reasonable dialogue becomes nearly impossible.
However, I found this film to be so well made and purposeful that I wanted to respectfully add a few comments. You have laid an excellent groundwork for a potential Mini series or even a longer piece of work. You opened up the potential of having a real dramatic series about life as a storm trooper and the personal interactions they have, the emotions that they share and their fears of battle. I found the Films' writing to be a little slow for my tastes but very well done none the less. So I would encourage you that if you have the means financially or otherwise to continue, please do so. Give the female storm trooper a name ( or number...) and have them interact with each other before during and after their missions. Tell us more about the woman that stabbed the rebel, and take us into their lives. With your collective talent, anything is possible.
You really have a stablished a high quality level of production and amazing potential. I have subscribed to your channel and would be willing to donate some funds for other projects.
    Well done, and please continue....

@@Stormtroopers Honest critique a year after the fact.
-Brush up on your small unit tactics a d hand signals. There are loads of training videos on CZcams that explain them clearly.
-Trigger discipline. I'd make a point of reading up on weapon safety and protocol for safe usage of weapons in group.
-Props. Gotta work within budget. I get that. Not so much a critique as a pointer. I didnt know the Rebel Alliance was so desperate they had to resort to using modified WWII era MG-34s and MG-42s against the empire. Times must really be hard. ;)
Overall I enjoyed this. It was exciting.
But for immersion value and to better portray a corps of professional, highly trained soldiers, you've gotta walk the walk. Unit tactics, discipline, and training, and tey to disguise some of your props a teensy bit better.
      7/10 well done.
Edit: I have become aware much of Star Wars type weaponry is modified WWII era equipment, so I rescind my somewhat snarky comment about the weapons...HOWEVER, when the weapons are operating, a little bit more effort to disguise the operation of those weapons would go a loooong way(the recoil inconsistent with the firing pattern, muzzle flash, and the way the action is clearly ejecting "something" out of the chamber are big tells)
Previous rating remains. 7/10. Damn good with room for improvement!

Love it when people actually portray stormtroopers for what they are, elite soldiers of the Galactic Empire. Not clumsy soldiers with bad aim. Great work!

Fives I’m not actually sure why people say stormtroopers have such bad aim. In rogue one and empire they take out their fair share of rebels (though there are definitely a few really bad shots) and in a new hope they obliterated the tantive IV and in the Death Star were supposed to let the rebels escape to find the base. Overall I’d say they’re no worse than any other generic evil movie soldier. Just something to think on.

Mr. RunningMan - well spotted. You can imaging out surprise that on our first draft scripts in 2016 we thought we were taking a huge risk putting the AT-AT underwater but then we saw that comic too and were thrilled it was a sign we were on the right path. It just seemed a natural fit to justify the often maligned AT-AT design.

Remember also that in the latter days of the Empire, most Stormtroopers were conscripts that were torn away from their families and made to visit violence on their fellow beings. It's very likely that none of them wanted to be there, but as they had no choice lest they all endure a rather brutal "counseling session" by their commanding officers or, worse, Lord Vader himself, they looked after each other and trained hard so they would survive in combat. To such as these, living another day meant another day closer to being able to cast off that reviled white armour and to go home at last.
These were the ones who wanted very short careers in the Empire's service. The older ones, the veterans, knew there was no longer a home for them to return to. They had done too much and allowed too much to be done in the name of the Empire to ever return home with a shred of dignity or honour. The only home they had left was the Empire itself, the only family their fellow troopers, whom they were trained to disregard if they died in battle. It was a sad and horrible life for most, if not all, of them.

ARMOROID5000 I agree that it was well done overall and I enjoyed it, but as far as like combat reality it could’ve been better. If they had a consultant with at least a little military experience it would’ve been much better. Ex: they didn’t body search the rebel in the cave, the troopers basically marched on the beach instead of rushing for cover or landing in a better area. I’m kinda nitpicking though but overal good job!

Francis, my platoon leader, got caught using both hand on the handle with an HRF blaster, got demoted, 3 days with the torture bot, and he had to go in front of the dark lord!

Max de Sain - Good question. We wanted to show the leaders in a platoon in addition to the Platoon Leader. Every successful platoon or squad will have that experienced and likely jaded veteran in the corner prepping raw rookies and switching into auto pilot in a fire fight as part of a drilled squad. We like how Band of Brothers did it by alternating the POV between Winters and an ensemble of characters to give more depth to the story of the group.

Stormtroopers it's very good and well made, it just needs to be shorter and better acting from time to time especially the main woman. You have created great tension in the beginning, however, they don't need to be so long since it would just drag on and on instead of bringing the film together. Over all though great work.

This is exactly why I was pumped to play the campaign for Battlefront II. (The 2017 one, not the original BF2) I thought it was a unique opportunity to play as an Imperial and see everything from their perspective. And while I did like Iden Versio's character, it felt incredibly underwhelming halfway through. I don't want to get into spoilers in case anyone has yet to play it, but basically, the way the events unfolded felt like a complete cop-out to me.
I really hope we get something like this that's properly executed some day. Whether it be a movie, a TV show, or hell, even a new Republic Commando (well, 'Imperial Commando' in this case) orJedi Knight type of game where you play as an Imperial, the first half of the JK games were usually pure FPS.

It was good but some questions were left. Who was the girl who stabbed the rebel? We can assume she is imperial but if she was she would of gone to the troopers to hand over the crystals. Also, Stormtrooper armor is meant to disperse a blaster bolt thus not killing the trooper, it wasn't clear wether she was dead or injured. Most of the time after a fight some would die but some would be unconscious but be battered up. It was good but there were some little things left that I was wondering about. FOR THE EMPIRE!

On a side note about the armor. If a blasters power is high enough it can go through the armor and kill, a DL44 is a prime example of one. Also if a trooper gets shot in their weak points(Basically anywhere the white armor parts arent) even with a weaker blaster, its death in the obvious spots

And many of you think I’m a “whimp” or a “simp” but I just want to let people know that they are human too. When the Death Star blew up, these StromTroopers died in vain and their loved ones had to hear the bad news. I’m no expert at Star Wars I’m just a guy that watches movies so before to reply with “dO uR rESerCh!” I know. I might have gaps in my understanding but this is my though and opinion. This brings back my PTSD for when I served under Darth Vader in the 501st Infantry Division! I was on the front line and was even part of the first troopers that replaced dead or injured clones until we only had about 10 clones left in the entire Battalion. Lord Vader treated them better than regular recruits. I was TK-242 under our transferred commander, Com. Cody, who in fact was a clone. Vader stole him from another Unit Division. He was one badass and intelligent leader!
I get anxiety though just thinking about my first battle still!
Our demolition specialists blew a tiny hole in an overtaken ship. Then we were ordered through the bottleneck opening getting gunned down left and right! Tripping over our comrades bodies trying to get in before those rebel bastards shot us up like fish in a barrel! I told my C.O. that we should have made the hole bigger or at least make a few more. . . . , but he didn't want to hear it and cussed at me saying we had no more time because Lord Vader had to get in there and make sure these supposed "plans" were recovered ASAP! He told me he saw Vader choke to death using the force a couple platoon leaders after this vessel escaped a docking situation with a disabled Mon Calamari flag ship! How horrible that entire day was! Can't believe I made it! Maybe after I calm down I can tell some more war stories of my days in the Galactic Civil Rebellion War! Damn Rebel Scum hated peace. . .
