It's more realistic. How would untrained rebels in such a tiny group take down a well armed and trained army of Dark Vader, who keep raining their opponent with laser shots but keep missing? It has never made sense.

Despite this being a parody, genuine aim makes the stormtroopers feel a lot more intimidating. Genuinly wish they were this component in the movies.

@@Koopkiris they actually can see. Stormtrooper helmets are coded to their ID. If someone else wears the helmet, then they’re locked out of most of the helmet’s systems.

But I was actually thinking more of the Battle of the Forest Moon of Endor, when the empire's elite troops demonstrated utter incompetence in both organization and marksmanship. Han in the doorway is a particularly noteworthy example.

I actually like the idea of stormtroopers being super frightening and the protagonists have to hide and avoid them, trying to destroy the Death Star on a suicide mission and a bunch of main characters die along the way

Besides, in ESB and ANH it actually makes sense, they want to track the Falcon to the Rebel base, and Obi-Wan actually does die on the Death Star, admittedly to Darth Vader, not stormtroopers. In ESB they want to torture Luke's friends to draw him to Cloud City, and Vader doesn't want Luke dead. He also wants to test the carbonate freezing on Han. In RotJ, I don't know. But keep in mind they had captured the Rebels before the Ewoks attacked, and after that there are hundreds of little furry targets to aim at, and they use natural cover and camouflage where possible. Maybe they wanted the Rebels alive there, too, though it's not explicitly stated in the film, so...eh, harder to explain. ANH and ESB make sense, though.

After being irritated over their bad accuracy through all the movies, this was really what I needed.

i mean yeah the stormtroopers were canonically really accurate and they even explained that in the death star the troopers were told to intentionally miss because they wanted to follow the millennium falcon to the rebel base

Ironically, this is exactly what maddened me about the Star Wars movies. They put all that time and training into making Stormtroopers, but they were always the worst shooters ever. If you are cloning a bounty hunter, this should not be the case. And what was the purpose of wearing all that armour if the rebels could so easily shoot through it?
The Stormtroopers are literally there just to die and show the strength of the Rebels. They're like the dozens of nameless goons in the John Wick movies who are all easily disposed of. These movies are not supposed to mirror reality.

This is exactly what stormtroopers should've had in the original trilogy.
It kinda makes sense if the stormtroopers have bad vision since there exposed to so much light from there weapons
And the heroes having to use exceptional ingenuity to somehow evade/engage them, not getting killed despite them being superior competent special forces. So sad that this version of SW will never exist.

@@version1.27 Stormtroopers don't have bad vision. That line was improved by Mark Hamill and they just kept it in the audio for release. This is Hollywood. Every main character has plot armor. It's the same with every movie, and it's not how real life goes down. This can be fixed with good writing and directing, but that rarely ever happens.

For those wondering, Vader canonically cares about the stormtroopers and will try his best not to waste their lives. The stormtroopers also canonically loyal to him due to Vader actually fighting alongside them and not in the back giving orders like other commanders. Vader likes the stormtroopers but hates commanders.
Makes sense. They were an important part of Anakin’s life during the clone wars. As a commander, He’s fond of them.

The clones were phased out a few years after Order , in Legends becaue of the Kamino Uprising, in Canon because Palpatine wanted a large, unquestioning standing army and the clones were getting a bit too uppity. By the time of the OT, all the clones still alive would be in their sixties and unfit for service anyway.
