Great share Richie! I watched that Tomley video you referred to. I fell for it a few years a ago for a Trx4 Bronco for $99. Ended up getting a 1/32 scale push car in the style of a Ford Expedition. Not even close to an Rc. I contacted seller disputing the delivery, and they would return my message with ; “ there was no error made”!

Lol this video definitely needed to be made. We had a guy coming to the shop I work at talking about his $98 T-Maxx 3.3 I was trying to explain to him that it was fake but he just kept insisting that it says Traxxas on the top but the actual website wasn't Traxxas. And it wasn't this website either So there are multiple scam sites out there obviously be careful people and just go support your local hobby shop before they are all gone.
It's really sad that people are doing this and can ruin it for someone who wants to get started on a budget..

Richie, you forgot one big point, Traxxas items DON'T EVER GO ON SALE! The only time you'll find a Traxxas vehicle marked down is like when a hobby shop is closing, they might mark down prices. And, don't worry guys, the Traxxas lawyers are experts at shutting sites/brands down!
I did the same for a Traxxas Spartan for $79. Didnt expect to recieve anything, and marked on the calander when my 180 day dispute limit was up with Paypal. Got my money back and nothing in the mail.

Great video and thanks for putting it out there. How do Facebook keep let them doing it?? It’s false advertising 😠 me and a mate did an experiment knew it was too good to be true and it was!!! We got a tiny little plastic car in a plastic packet!! We only lost £20 each as it was advertised as a WLToys 144001 for $44 and it was around the price of the 144001, but you did not get a 144001!!! Great warning ⚠️ 👍

The best thing is definitely not to buy a Traxxas. You will avoid having to be upgrading it to make it work relatively well and buying spare parts every week. If you want a good RC car, that doesn't have terribly cheap electronics, metal and plastic, very bad and overpriced batteries, and rude customer service, just look at other brands. Everything at Traxxas revolves around the upgrade parts and the spare parts, not the actual RC models. They are just fancy turds wrapped in
crêpe paper.
