144010/124017/124016 are just unbeatable when it comes to price/performance . 150$ for a 90km/h car straight out the box .And if someone says "yea but you need a 3S battery" well arrma and traxxas come without any batteries anyway .
That switch on the transmitter is for the discontinued wltoys 24438b. It’s a mini crawler similar to the hbx 2098b. The switch was for the different 4 wheel steering modes.

Ran mine a few times it's awesome waiting on a 3s that fits I have ran it on 3s it's mental defo my new favourite RC
I read somewhere that the mode button is a hangover from an old model they did that had switchable 4 wheel steering modes. You could have front, rear, 4WS or front/rear matching so it would go sideways.

I think it’s a great car for the money. My big rock hit 61 but I had to put a 150 amp esc and run it on 4s to do so.
I had a really bad experience with the 124017, and only a lightly better one with the A959B. I thought I was done with WLtoys, and was even willing to accept that it would limit my ability to create content a bit. But then this car came out. The 144010 IS what the 124017 and many other similar cars SHOULD be. It's really surprisingly good, crazy fast and for the money, it really might be the very best deal going in the entire budget RC segment right now. It totally made me change my outlook on WLtoys for the better. You're video (great video BTW) actually gave me the idea to buy it and do my own review on it. If it weren't for your down to earth and honest review, I might have passed this car up. Glad I didn't. Thank you.
Do the bodies from the 144001 fit?
I had the purple one it was great fun but the novelty wore off after a couple months I actually sold it for more than I payed new as they seem to sell out fast in the U.K.
I think the extra button was for changing radio channels. When my friend and I had the same cars one controller was driving both until we changed channels.

Why do you need to change the Rx to switch servo? Isn't that a standard servo?
I dunno, i still think the HSP 1/10 buggy is a much better buy. Its almost twice the size, comes brushed or brushless, has been around for the better part of the last 10 years, very well supported for spares/upgrades. Also doesn't cost much more than one of these wltoys 😅
The only downside is the bendy shock towers. But if you keep some pliers in your bash sack, its easy to fix on the go 😂

My wltoys the purple one . The back end exploded like I took a hard turn and every bolt dog bones everything blew apart everything was bent up just saved it for the wheels motor and a few other things.

Q- Is the Eachine Eat14 the same Buggy. Id like to pull trigger on 1 but, not keen on Ketchup & Mustard color scheme on this one.
No the EAT14 is the V1 version, lower KV larger pinion so has cogging....

Yea don’t get a Eat-14. Get this. The Eachine has the old electronics that have a lot of issues. But I’m with you on the body colors lol, not my favorite.
144010 v2 is out that fixed the lag issue
But if you buy the 144010 now you get it only on 2 s but yeah i put a new esc in it and motor so yeah
the only issue with running a 3s on this car is that the rear gears, like the diffs and the center driveshaft rear gear (behind the spur gear) is prone to stripping
just a thing i've noticed since i have the v2 version of the 124016
Just got mine and it’s great. It will easily destroy my Bandit and Reflex-B around my track and in a straight line. If you can find a better car for $120 I’d like know what it is.
I like mine but I'm in love with the reflex B I've had it a few years now

How mich would I get made fun of and for how fast I get chased out of a track being a 54 yr guy w a wl toy car..well have 10 or so I have added and modified not for better in most cases..
144010 or lc racing emb1?
You can get a 144010, 2 extra Lipo’s, and tons of LC racing upgrades and still pay way less than an EMB-1. That’s what I did. They’re both great cars but I could never justify paying more than double for an EMB-1 because in no way is it twice the car.
