Good honest review, pretty much all the things I thought when I got a HSP NItro (Stealth), I love it. The remote it comes with has a "failsafe" so if it loses power the receiver will apply the brakes to prevent a runaway but as I found out the hard way, those 4 AA's powering the receiver only last a couple of runs and mine ended up losing power while accelerating and had a runaway then. Grab a hump pack ASAP.

Also You can adjust the 2speed to kick in earlier or later on revs
There will be 2 set screws on a round piece in the transmission I can’t remember which one it is that adjusts at which point it shifts into 2nd gear tho

Plus you sould make some air holes two help the air pass through I usually cut out the front window and mesh it and then just cut out a square section in the rear window 👍👍👍keep up the good work bud ✌
Nice! To get fuel to the carb simply cover the exhaust pipe outlet and pull the pull start it will pump up fuel to the carb... A nice upgrade would be a better air filter that stock one is not so good. Nitros are fun I remember when most all my RC's were nitro never had problems tuning or running them people fear them to much these days.

Thank you for you tutorial. I love the nitro. Am I correct that in 1/10 you can loads of different bodies to it? Shame they do not have lights with probably would go out at first accident but still.
I have a redcat nitro volcano and it runs sweet. For under 300 it is great deal.

Well it's been over a year since you made this great video and I haven't been able to find a second video of the nitro running all out after you've gotten them motor broken in well I wonder if you could do that for us please
A lot of people just run them in on a bench, set the throttle and let her run steady just above idle, and refill the tank when needed. You can put a fan blowing on it if youre worried about heat. Theyre not much fun to break in... lol
11 Minutes in - if you turn off the transmitter first by mistake or the batteries run out in the transmitter or the car goes out of range a fail safe cuts in so the servo for the throttle/brake will go to full brake.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking it had to be the brake that came on automatically but I'd not run it by then and thought it better to be safe than sorry hence the overly cautious comment, as I'd seen a nitro run wild a few years back

It remains me of the Nurburgring sti plus if you put an Ali muffler and a better air filter it will make it faster even just the alley muffler will make it faster would work even better with better air filter ✌
How long does a tank of fuel last Richie ? Similar to a lipo pack duration?
My first nitro car was a mardave marauder, with a Irvine engine. Mid 80's I used yellow dot fuel.
Oh I remember the Mardave marauder's man those were loud as I recall!

Hey Richie. Maybe you can help me. I put a new radio in my 4 Tec and now I can’t get it to go in reverse. This damn VXL 3s esc is brand new. It will go in reverse if I tap the throttle but it won’t stay in reverse. And it’s not in race mode. I’ve tried different radios and nothing.
It'd be interesting to check the parts compatibility with the HPI Nitro RS4 3 as this appears to be a copy.
I have been looking for an STI body for my latrax rally. Seems like all the cool bodies are on the bigger cars.

Cheers casey this was it stock out of the box. I was thinking the 2spd had to be adjustable, they don't mention it in the instructions though. I'll see how it kicks in when it's all run in. All advice much appreciated

Careful with nitro fuel. It's carcinogenic if you breathe in the fumes your asking for trouble. So much so UK banned 20% nitro fuel recently. Fun to run nitro cars though, this one is particularly nice.
OH NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you know 99.9% of all you do and eat is carcinogenic UK banned nitro cause they are woke and globalist bound. They didn't want them to import chemicals!

Brand new engineered hsp looks exactly like the hpiracing rs4 from 15 years ago hpiracing was revolutionary for doing that and hsp is just a copycat for the new kids that dont have to privilege to have a hpi rs4 to buy
