I was out of the hobby for awhile but jumped back into it and regret selling everything I had before. Don't worry about the haters they will always hate. You do what you Love so it's not really a job. And the RC world needs more down to earth people such as yourself. My friend is gone now, but he's the one who got me into the hobby and I love all my RC cars and all the wonderful and weird, crazy car fanatics I've met in the last year and a half. Keep up the great work Buddy and don't ever let anyone make you frown. And I always buy two just in case one gets destroyed because of being crazy/stupid or if it catches fire. Lots of positive vibes to you, bro.

Great video, Mark! I recently got back into RC after a 35 year hiatus. At first I wanted to fix up my old Tamiya Hornet but after searching the internet for parts I realized how much the RC world has changed over the years. Decided to get a modern RC so I recently purchased my first Traxxas Slash 4x4. Slash is just fun to drive and makes me feel like I'm 13 again. Puts a huge smile on my face! Love your channel and all your tips are so helpful! Looking forward watching all your videos.

Mark, thanks for letting us know what you do and yes hard work is key. I just got back into the hobby this past summer after I retired. I put in 60-65 hour weeks and had no time for fun. I raced on a backyard track with friends in the 80's. We ran every Friday night for years. I always look up my next possible car as I know you probably have one for an honest review. Having the time now I am having a blast and try to get out everyday. I now have 6 R/C's and 5 are Traxxas. My E-Revo 2.0 is my favorite. Thanks for thanking the time to put out quality videos. Many thanks.

Good video. I totally get the second car or back up of the same car. You like something so much that you want to enjoy using it, but at the same time don't want to use it because it wont be the same after that. Having another copy brand new in the box frees up the apprehension of using the car you like so much. Having worked so hard to attain what you have means so much more to you than someone that lives off a family trust. I grew up in lower class, single mom with 4 kids working as a waitress family. We didn't have alot and did without what most other families took for granted. I learned to value and take good care of what little I had. I don't sell much so onlookers today might think I have alot. But really, I have alot because I appreciate it, having worked so hard to achieve. I enjoy the enthusiasm in your videos because you love the RC hobby and engage with it. : )

I feel that. Ive got a merv that breaks something in the diffs or some part of the transmission every time i drive it. It's hilarious overpowered so breaking is inevitable. The biggest problem is that with the chassis brace its a total pain to pull apart everytime something breaks. It takes me like 2 hours sometimes just to change a diff. Definable super stressful lol. I can't even imagine having 11 hobbygrade RCs. I only have 2-3, plus some toy grade stuff for my daughter.

If you read this I had many many R/Cs Hundreds.in fact. many collectables and many funners ( Runners) My favorite way to run them is something youve never heard of in your life. I used to have a hobby shop and I had a one of a kind r/c race track. It was a flat oval 15ft x 30 ft. track. There were 6 race cars to rent to parties. They were 10th scale NASCAR 4WD drift oval and IT WAS THE BEST FORM OF RACING EVER. The cars were gorgeous and stood up to bashing because they all going same direction with foam bumpers under the bodies on all 4 sides and slippery tires helped release impact.forces. I used to dial down speed for younger kids buy they still drifted 100% fantastic. Long run times and there was not any need for a drivers stand. Also NO CORNER MARSHELLING NEEDED.

Great video Mark. If you work hard it allows us to play hard. My collection isn’t quite as substantial as yours lol. I’m a full time welder / truck driver so I get to play pretty damn hard when the time allows it. 30+ cars/ trucks. That’s just the non flying rigs……..

As a fellow IT nerd, I can definitely understand loving what you do. I am hoping to get back into the hobby of RC cars as I did enjoy racing when I was much younger. Hopefully I can bump into you one day at a track.

No matter what you do for a living you’ve always got to train yourself to enjoy it … that’s my perspective from the day I could work … cause if you don’t and you let your job control your Life then your living to work and not working to live … I’m constantly running into those coworkers that can’t wait till 5 to go home … don’t get me wrong but home is great … but the reality is that work still goes on and if your working a busy schedule and always thinking about going home then basically your watching your life just fly by …so train your mind to get the most out of everyday and try to enjoy what you do for a living and don’t take life to seriously… Like I tell my kids whatever you do in life ..master it and someone will see your goodness…. I’m 48 and had multiple jobs from the day I turned 16 and now been pipe fitting for 22 years now and love it…and the RC hobby has been with me for at least 20 years… love what you do .. live as you can … and take one day at a time … god bless all …

HEY MARK. DON'T LET THE HATER'S GET TO YOU. I ALSO BUY TWO OR MORE OF EVERYTHING. SOME TIMES I BUY SIX OF EVERYTHING FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. SIX XMAXXES, SIX UDR'S, SIX VXL SLASHES. WHAT EVER. I ALSO DO THAT FOR MY TOOL BOXES. I HATE GOING TO DIFFERENT TOOL BOXES TO LOOK FOR A TOOL, SO I BUY THE SAME TOOL FOR EACH BOX. GUESS HOW MANY TOOL BOXES I HAVE. YOU GOT IT. "SIX". I'VE BEEN DOING RC FOR 50 YEAR'S, AND I JUST RETIRED. I WORKED HARD FOR MY MONEY, AND NOW IT'S TIME TO HAVE FUN. WHO'S BUSINESS IS IT HOW WE SPEND OUR MONEY, OR HOW MUCH. IF THE HATER'S DON'T LIKE IT. THEY CAN JUST STOP WATCHING YOUR VIDEO'S, BUT WHEN YOU'RE A HATER, AND YOU STILL LIVE IN YOUR PARENTS BASEMENT EATING CHEETO'S, AND DRINKING MONSTER'S, NO ONE CAN SEE THEM, SO ALL THEY CAN DO IS RUN THEIR BIG MOUTH.
