- Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that Russia must take into account the F-16s’ ability to carry nuclear weapons “while planning” combat operations. However, Putin also assured his troops the F-16s would meet the same fate as the other weapons delivered by the West to Ukraine. Russian military aviation historian and author, Nikolai Bodrikhin, agreed with Putin’s assessment of the fate F-16s can expect. According to Bodrikhin, the only practical threat the US-made aircraft can pose to Russia is as a missile carrier on a suicide mission. Watch the video to find out more.

The reality is that those weapons you mentioned or listed didn't only stop Russian forces but changed the direction of the war. Putin's forces were supposed to defeat Ukrainian forces in days and take the Ukrainian capital but failed.

What perhaps Russia haven’t realised is that in the passed 2 years Ukraine (and the west) has monitored, measured, decrypted, every system Russia system in its armoury. All this data is invaluable to intelligence and more importantly counter measures. It makes me smile when Russia talks about its air defence capability especially its BUK, S300 and S400 systems given that these were used 20years ago to “defend” Bagdad, (the second most heavily defended city in the world), which took only a few hours to dismantle. Russia struggle to destroy 2 stoke engined drones let along fast jets like the F16, despite them being 20+ years old.
Yesterday, however, two other Ukrainian power plants were hit and destroyed by Russian missiles. What's the point of decrypting all the functionality of Russian weapons if you can't counter them anyway?

What Ukrainians can do is mobilize their long distance drones to look for Russia's missile defense systems for destruction. These systems may probably be located within 300 km from the battle front.
Those positions are protected by powerful electronic warfare systems. It is not as easy as you think to maintain control of a very distant drone in the event of very strong radio disturbances. Even NATO has admitted that Russia is surprising with its electronic warfare. The Himars lost some of their effectiveness due to Russian GPS jamming, which made them inaccurate over long distances.
If they can get air superiority, they can get those f16s in deep , it may be a one way mission but all they need is to locate the launch sites and deliver the payload and secure the safest conventional war without his threats from land being a barrier to victory for Ukraine

I presume the F16s are materially superior to the aging soviet era air force Ukraine inherited. Russia may claim to have shot down that air force three times over but last time I looked, it was still flying. @@briant5685 what you do is looking at official numbers, published by the Russians themselves. But the war in Ukraine has shown that everything Russia claims and publishes is made up. They have shot down their own aircrafts more than Ukrainian ones. Also your assessment of the radar capabilities is just plane wrong. F16 is not invincible but it will make a difference. They will use them like Russia uses their airforce. As long range missile trucks, shooting far away from the front line.
About the use of nuclear weapons, Russia (together with US and UK) vowed to protect Ukrain in the Budapest Memorandum. Russia did not hold up to their part of the agreement so its only logical that they would give back the nukes so Ukrain. Ukrain can them use these nukes if threatend..
NATO also agreed not to expand EASTwards an inch n the Budapest Memorandum by President Clinton.

F16 exists in huge numbers and is operated by many countries and therefore can also be maintained and repaired by many different countries. It's really not the same thing. Also the Gripen is much more complicated to fly than the F16. Training would be much longer.

You cannot strictly exclude it, because the USA, unlike Russia which prohibits it by constitution, also contemplates the use of nuclear weapons as a preventive first strike. Obviously it is highly unlikely that one of those F16s would carry nuclear weapons, but certainly not impossible.
