@@ARMYALEX1869 I started running after 3 months before my first triathlon after smoking cigs and doing drugs for 25yrs. I had no swim experience and I owned a Trek hybrid I never rode. So basically I was as new as you could get with zero fitness. I swam 6 times before my first sprint tri. On race day the swim was brutal. However, one year later I completed a full Ironman in Chattanooga September this year. I spent 8 months of dedicated training. Learning to swim 2.4 miles was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. I completed in 13:49 with 2 flat tires and 6 GI stops on the run.
I went from complete newbie to Ironman Finisher in a year. I’m a nobody. I have no talent at it. I just worked my ass off and crossing the finish line was one of the best feelings in my life. Anyone can do this sport. Just takes commitment and a lot of time…

Man. This hit home. I know I likely won’t get a reply here but my mom also passed away from ovarian cancer just last month.. The way you described your Mom gave me chills because that was EXACTLY my Mom. She literally fought until her very last breath. I drew (and always have drawn) so much inspiration from her dedication, grind, love and no quit spirit.
We also took her home on hospice where she passed happy and in the comfort of her own home after years of fighting this disease.
I’m getting chills while writing this because it’s clear that everything comes full circle. From the pain I’ve built through my Mom passing, I started running (and training a lot harder and heavier in the gym) to push myself and to feel something. Through running, I found you and your channel. You have inspired me to push even harder and go beyond what my mind thought was possible. It’s crazy to hear how “similar” our stories, starting points and inspirations are.
Thank you for the inspiration brother and just know that your Mom is always with you in your heart.

    Nick,
This is absolutely incredible man. I’ve used the “embrace the suck” mentality ever since I enlisted. It’s carried me a long way throughout my career in the military.
Within the last year, that mentality started slowly fading away. I started blaming others for my deficiencies, flaws, and lack of success. After watching you go through this journey, knowing EXACTLY what has been your drive and motivation, I can say wholeheartedly that I have never felt so alive. There is so much to life and staying “satisfied” isn’t enough for me. I want to push myself to limits I haven’t even dreamed of but it all starts with accepting the fact that everyday is going to suck. Thank you for bringing my mind and spirit back to where it needed to be. You’re a true inspiration, sir.
    R.I.P Mrs. Bare.

      Hi guys :)
I wanted to update you that I’m already into working on some new videos- here’s some topics to look forward to:
-Cereal Culture(it’s like a sequel to pop culture)
-Oak Island Money Pit (just a really interesting true story that takes place in Nova Scotia)
-I mean I wrote so much about corn it’d be dumb not to do one on corn I guess, I just don’t understand the premise of it
-Every Video Game Ever (informative skit thing)
I’m really excited about these - they trail a bit more into the informative videos you guys seem to like, so I hope you’ll like em too.
Also thank you for the support on the plushies and the video I just released- I know it’s not fair to slap with you guys with a video basically dedicated to merch, but it felt like the last time I released the plushies a lot of people weren’t aware, so I wanted
To give you guys one more chance to try and get them. So thank you for sticking with me and more animated
      Videos come soon-
I also have a bunch of footage of me animating a running loop of GingerPale using embroidery, but after seeing a bunch of comments of people being not so nice about the latest video being not animated- even though it was made by my friends over at NeverCake and THEY DID AMAZING :’) - I’m not sure it will fit on the channel, so if I decide to still finish it I’ll probably just put it up on GpApi. We’ll see tho- just wasn’t feelin the bullying today so I don’t want to disappoint again with another not fully animated video - idk we’ll see
I will go draw now :>
      Thanks again
