    Great video, I'm thinking about getting this same gear configuration except with the Blackmagic 4K when it releases this fall.

      Johnson You can! Just keep practicing, when you have a clear vision of what you want in your head it's only a matter of time before you can achieve it.

      I know what i like/i want,but in HongKong such a small space limited choice to shoot,so everything is harder.😢

    i love how you got some nice close focus and depth of field fall off - i reckon you may have gone beyond the f.2.8 rule - or maybe used diopters. Looking good though!

    • @LawtonMeyer
      @LawtonMeyer  Před 5 lety

      Thanks. Yeah I normally stick to 2.8 or 2.1 depending on the lens but this lens goes to .95 so it's very possible I went as open as that. I can't really remember it was awhile ago lol. But it gets difficult to get any focus at all too open on this. Didn't use diopters.

    • @reflexfilms
      @reflexfilms Před 5 lety

      @@LawtonMeyer nothing wrong with breaking a few rules i reckon - as long as it gives the feels - and this was a particularly mesmerising video.

    How'd you do the desqueeze in post? Did you shoot 16:9 or 4:3? I'm having some challenges with this aspect.

    • @LawtonMeyer
      @LawtonMeyer  Před 6 lety +5

      Since my adapter is a 1.33x I shot 16:9 if it was 2x I'd shoot 4:3. In post I edit in premiere. I drag in all the footage and highlight it, right click, find modify, interpret footage, uncheck square pixels, and select the option for 1.33x and that's it.

  • @nsquezada27

    Did you use much digital image stabilization, or was this handheld that steady?

    • @nsquezada27
      @nsquezada27 Před 6 lety

      My fear is shooting 1080p with a really heavy anamorphic lense and not being able to digitally stabilize it without a loss in quality

  • @Carson.Rhodes
    @Carson.Rhodes Před 6 lety

    So, was this shot 16x9 or 4x3? great stuff by the way!

    • @LawtonMeyer
      @LawtonMeyer  Před 6 lety

      Carson Rhodes 16x9. With a 1.33x lens 4/3 wouldn't get a wide aspect ratio, it would just fill the frame like a spherical lens.

    If you don't mind me asking, do you just have the Hyper Prime and the SLR Magic on your GH5?

  • @youmetalcobra
    @youmetalcobra Před 6 lety

    I love your videos!
    I have a gh4 with an elmoscope ii and a speedbooster.
    I do not know which lens to buy ...
    if I should take advantage of the metabones
    and buy a canon 85 mm or the famous helios and some Chinese adapter for giving some examples.
    What would you recommend?
    I would greatly appreciate your response,
    see you later!

    • @LawtonMeyer
      @LawtonMeyer  Před 6 lety

      Mariano Mellert Hey man! Yeah hmm, Idk I really don't have any experience with either of those. From what I've seen the Helios looks great but I'm sure the canon does as well. Use your best judgement.

    • @LawtonMeyer

      I use pc. I built it with my brother to be an editing computer.

    • @Cretanmelody
      @Cretanmelody Před 7 lety

      mine brother pc which i build it has i7 6700k 32gb ram and RX480 GPU yours? i want to ask you if workflow is smooth (to compare)

    • @LawtonMeyer
      @LawtonMeyer  Před 7 lety

      I believe mine is 64gb. The work flow is pretty good, I built it specifically for 4k. But with cameras like the GH5 the footage is more compressed so it'll slow it down sometimes, and work flow is actually smoother with cameras like the black magic and red that shoot raw.
