This is so moving! Love it so much :)
So good Lawton! Loving the cinematic shots you got here. The whole thing had a dreamy quality to it :) I'm impressed, glad I found your channel. Keep up the great work
Thanks! Glad to have you watching!
best vibe to this!
As always i think you moving forward in your progress with filming. Thumbs up 👍🏻
Mate... again... love it!!
Thanks!
Great video, I'm thinking about getting this same gear configuration except with the Blackmagic 4K when it releases this fall.
Nice handheld work! Slo mo is our friend.
Excellent combination
Not sure where you're located but if you're ever visiting in LA we should make some videos
Absolutely! Feel free to add me on Facebook or anything.
very nice!
Thank you!
Simply beautiful shots) sub
Thanks! Glad to have you aboard!
I want to cry, this is amazing.wish i can shot something like this.
Johnson You can! Just keep practicing, when you have a clear vision of what you want in your head it's only a matter of time before you can achieve it.
I know what i like/i want, but in HongKong such a small space limited choice to shoot,so everything is harder.😢
Johnson Shoot for what your environment allows.
i love how you got some nice close focus and depth of field fall off - i reckon you may have gone beyond the f.2.8 rule - or maybe used diopters. Looking good though!
Thanks. Yeah I normally stick to 2.8 or 2.1 depending on the lens but this lens goes to .95 so it's very possible I went as open as that. I can't really remember it was awhile ago lol. But it gets difficult to get any focus at all too open on this. Didn't use diopters.
@@LawtonMeyer nothing wrong with breaking a few rules i reckon - as long as it gives the feels - and this was a particularly mesmerising video.
How'd you do the desqueeze in post? Did you shoot 16:9 or 4:3? I'm having some challenges with this aspect.
Since my adapter is a 1.33x I shot 16:9 if it was 2x I'd shoot 4:3. In post I edit in premiere. I drag in all the footage and highlight it, right click, find modify, interpret footage, uncheck square pixels, and select the option for 1.33x and that's it.
Reminded of Interstellar bookshelf scenes
Ivan Babko haha I love that movie.

Did you use much digital image stabilization, or was this handheld that steady?
My fear is shooting 1080p with a really heavy anamorphic lense and not being able to digitally stabilize it without a loss in quality
So, was this shot 16x9 or 4x3? great stuff by the way!
Carson Rhodes 16x9. With a 1.33x lens 4/3 wouldn't get a wide aspect ratio, it would just fill the frame like a spherical lens.
If you don't mind me asking, do you just have the Hyper Prime and the SLR Magic on your GH5?
That's exactly what it is!
I love your videos!
I have a gh4 with an elmoscope ii and a speedbooster.
I do not know which lens to buy ...
if I should take advantage of the metabones
and buy a canon 85 mm or the famous helios and some Chinese adapter for giving some examples.
What would you recommend?
I would greatly appreciate your response,
see you later!
Mariano Mellert Hey man! Yeah hmm, Idk I really don't have any experience with either of those. From what I've seen the Helios looks great but I'm sure the canon does as well. Use your best judgement.
I was wrong channel, is that I always check your stuff and wrote in yours channel unintentionally!
You already answered me
Mariano Mellert haha it happens.
Is the Hyperprime a MFT mount ?
Yes.
Great cinematic shots man! I'd love to hear your thoughts on my cinematic type videos. Thanks!
Thanks! Your work is good, keep taking that camera places!
Lawton Meyer thanks so much. I'll definitely subscribe to you if you wouldn't mind doing the same for me? Thanks :)
Trying to cut a deal eh? Well alrighty then. Subbed. Well played sir.
you tube cuteness
can u try 6k anamorphic :D
I may try that at some point!
yeah 5k almost tha same but so much hardware power need for that..Where did you edit that (Pc or Mac)?
I use pc. I built it with my brother to be an editing computer.
mine brother pc which i build it has i7 6700k 32gb ram and RX480 GPU yours? i want to ask you if workflow is smooth (to compare)
I believe mine is 64gb. The work flow is pretty good, I built it specifically for 4k. But with cameras like the GH5 the footage is more compressed so it'll slow it down sometimes, and work flow is actually smoother with cameras like the black magic and red that shoot raw.
color grading is crap.
why is that? its not my favorite either.
