If some of the Bluebyte folks sees this: this would be a great substitute for the scenarios that the game lacks! Give us some short challenges like have a fully satisfied engineer in a crazy city or something like that
I know I'm commenting way beyond the post date, but just wanted to say I really like this idea of fixing somebody elses game. It taught me a lot. Maybe if I could give one suggestion for a future similar video if that's okay; there's been several times in this and previous video where you commented how the player did something wrong (Like lay-out or not providing the happiness things) but it would have been really helpful for me if you would have explained the why as well. So WHY does happiness matter? Basically anytime you give any opinion about your preferences in the game / or even factual game mechanics, if you would explain the why I would have learned even more! I'm only giving feedback since I enjoyed it so much! If it wasn't good, I wouldn't have commented at all!

It took me two saves to figure out how useful the stats page is. And I went into debt on my first one barely getting to artisans so I'm amazed that this person managed to amass so much money
Excellent series! Looking forward to seeing more of this format. So painful watching cause I have made some of these mistakes and had to restart more than once. Nice to see ideas on how to fix without a restart.

It's on my list but really low priority... a lot of other problems to solve first!
You know what this reminds me of? In 1404 where you could pick different scenarios. I wonder why 1800 didn't have those in the game... maybe if enough of the community asks for it they can add it them down the road.
I want to meet the person who's brain operates in a way to build cities like this...it's fascinating :p

I don't do video editing so I can't really do a time-lapse... Eventually I might try to figure it out.
having seen your most recent video where you discuss the recent vid performance, I decided to see some of your more recent~ish vids to give them a look since I haven't been watching due to things unrelated to the actual content. Finals are for surats. I actually really like this series. I enjoy seeing this go from a total catastrophe to something that has its legs under it.
I think the reason I skipped over it when it released is that the title "disaster series" on the thumbnail doesn't translate to that this is a series of fixing someone else's disaster. Honestly I thought it was something about natural disasters or something. I have a nasty habit of looking at thumbnails instead of titles so that's partly on me, but probably something that could be better accounted for if this series comes back. I am pretty sure people like me are more common than either of us would like

i feel like the first step should be moving all the houses out the way and creating a 10x10 grid that some incredibly talented anno 1800 youtuber shared with the world ;) - If they had used the 10x10 it would of been so much easier to fit the bank in the last episode :D
Hahaha yeah I would like to redo EVERYTHING, but my goal is to get everything at least in a state of "working again" and then hand it back.

It's great to watch these videos. I'm learning a few useful things here and there.
But what I really want to know is how do you do upgrades over a wide space like that or only demolish specific buildings over a large area without demolishing the other stuff?
Hotkey U to switch to upgrade mode and then click and drag what you want to upgrade. And when you want to demolish certain things in a large area, select the bulldoze tool, Left click and hold down on the building that you want destroyed in a large area and then drag a box. It'll destroy everything of that type in the area.

Great video idea , i like it to see how fix the problems.Though i don‘t build so inefficient and chaotic i still wonder: how couldthis player get that ammount of money with such a chaotic game and statistiks?😱
They were using income boosting propaganda articles to negate the negative income. That allowed them to still build up their money even though everything was in the hole
Takarazuka but the propaganda boost is not that much to generate that money, especially with a negative income. The only way i know so far is to sell luxury goods to generate money though negative income. it is really confusing to see that game ....😂
They were using all of them... Not just a 10% one. You can get up to 30% income boost. That's a pretty decent chunk of extra cash coming in.
Am i weird for never doing ANY production on main and secondary or crownand just deli it there?

Great video... i suggest you remove all production and start from begining for example first farmers suplies worker artistant... just suggestion.
That is one way to do it, but showing how to fix what you already have is a key to understanding where things go wrong as well.

Honestly if I had that game I feel like it's gone sooo downhill I would either completely reorganize everything, beautify islands, get rid of all trade routes and start fresh, etc or just start a new game at that point...

Dont wanna be mean to the person that made this city and they are clearly new to this game. But did they just put random buildings around the place as they were needed. It dosent look like they hade any plan or some ide of how they wanted it to look. It almost looks like they have taken over a city designed by the AI players. I know the AI are turned off but it kinda looks like 1 of there citys with all those buildings scattered all over the place.
Yeah they were learning the game (never played anything like it) and still very new to it all
