The ending was amazing, the world breaking around him, the people getting stuck on the shelf, him trying to leave, realizing he's stuck in a box with no way out, he sees the man that started it all, goes back to the shop and sees a retail workers worst nightmare... A MASSIVE LINE and immediately leaves and goes to cry in an alleyway until he no clips out of the world, all the while that damn generic beautiful music... a cinematic masterpiece of a retail workers decent into madness, Muah, Chef's Kiss

the ending part where mark has a masive crisis had me folding like a lawn chair. The pure distraught, him trying to find a way out, going back into his store only to run into an alley way and then entire buildings disappear and the sky takes over. Truly a work of art.

The game doesn't actually model shopping habits. Milk, bread, coffee, pasta, oil, flour. All the same. All the game tracks is relative price in determining the chances of someone buying something. Better oil prices and it would fly off the shelves much faster than everyday essentials.
FYI, if your customers or restockers get stuck, remove everything from the shelf that's sticking them (may take some trial and error), remove the price tag, then restock. If the problem is in the storage room, let your restocker put the product away (they seem to get stuck far less if i let them do it). Also saving, exiting, and reloading can work, too.
I came across the solution after much cursing and headdesking, then wondered how Mark would handle that bug. His reaction was everything i could have hoped for! 😂

The customer is if a product is out, they go back and forth constantly. I had it constantly with the Chokpi(Think its the spelling) Cereal and Susu Powdered Sugar. The moment I restock it, 90% of it is taken instantly. Had like 7-8 people like that.
@@WinterLass not exactly, the real issue is that when you switch products location they will have a predetermined pathway when they spawn. (this happens with stockers as well) to fix is
1. Remove the glitches item from the shelves and clear product and remove shelf and they will find it in ist new space.
2. To remove the glitch so it doesn't repeat, save and reload and the paths will remove the old data and nobody will be confused again. But if you reorganize the store it gets really messy. And needs rebooted until bug fix.

So happy you’re playing this, you’ve brought a lot of attention to this game. I’ve spent over 40 hours on it and love it. If you do continue, if possible could you make it clear that this game is on Steam only? Lots of people commenting after accidentally buying cheap knock offs on mobile and on the PS store, which are filled with bugs and don’t have half of the features this one does. Everyone I’ve asked said they were inspired to buy after watching your videos and it would be great if they bought the right game moving forward, not just to get what they paid for but to also support the devs who are working hard on a new update!
Six days later and I literally got an ad for a mobile version of this game from this video.
Yeah the scum of the earth just gunning for every dollar they can get by *_poorly_* copying someone else's idea and marketing it are just the worst. I love the protections available to creators not to be nailed to the cross for producing similar works as another, but things like that are just blatantly obvious and should be taken down with extreme prejudice.
Congrats on making such a nice game so quickly! Looking forward to seeing future works from you. Maybe for future games, try and make it obvious in the game itself where it will be available so things like this are harder to do to you.

Unfortunate all the way around, honestly. I'd love to try the game out, but it's not available on consoles. You might assume that the ppl on Playstation can just play on PC, but that isn't true for a lot of us. If there's only a cheap knock-off available for consoles, then it's that or nothing for us. Not everyone can/wants to game on PC... so if devs don't include any alternate platforms for their game then... /shrug. We take what we can get.

The problem is that customers are psychic. As soon as you buy a license all customers expect every new item to be stocked even though they shouldn't know you got a license.
Had the same experience on the Switch version(Made by a different studio). Bought a license, didn't have the funds to stock all the new stuff, many unhappy customers.

My mum is a file manager clerk for the supermarket she works for and basically she has to run around making sure the prices match and work (once a month almost everything changes and she works overnight) so seeing Mark running around panicking about setting prices made me extra appreciate what my mum does for the community 😂 💜
I love that at the end, he acts out the insanity, but then we the game glitches, it turns into actual terror.
Also, the end music at quarter speed sounds cool.

Yeah I guess I meant that, other than the interactions and his little animated guy coming up and Mark talking to him, a person usually doesn’t consciously notice the edits, but I forget that he has other editors and their edits get overlooked way more often
In case there are other new players to this game here and no one has mentioned the work around to that fun little glitch: in the moment, removing whatever is on the shelf in front of the stuck person makes them finally move, but reloading the game actually clears the problem (until it comes up again). Save and quit, boot it back up.
If the stuck NPC is a customer, starting a new day makes them go away, but if it's a restocker, they stay stuck until you reload.
From what I can tell, this happens when you change where product is, so if you set up your store, then decide your pasta or cereal or whatever should be in a different area, this can be expected.
Thank you for sharing this! I saw that this game is starting to get negative reviews from people complaining about this exact glitch, so it's nice that there's an easy workaround!

Bonus tip for a glitch I've seen recently: If you're holding a box and it doesn't let you throw or set it down = put one thing in it, put it on a metro, then pick it back up.
It could be that just throwing it away works for that one, but I never throw my boxes away anymore, I empty them and then huck them across the map and let the stockers grab them. Lol XD

Price only has the effect that if it's too high for the NPCs (and they all seem to have individually set thresholds), they they just won't buy it. But a price that's set high, but doesn't trigger that threshold, will mean they'll buy it just as fast or slow as any other price markup.
I feel like this is true in real life, too. Well, it is for me anyway. I go to a store to buy what I wanted to buy.

@@KuQuack Ooooh yes, a lot. They have a complete system that CZcams is neglecting to deal with. P0rn bots are absolutely everywhere.
Their strategy is advertisement. P0rn sites create new channels that have only links to their websites, but profile pictures either subtly or not subtly enough to fish for people that would be… interested. “Is that a picture of a nearly naked woman?” To advertise themselves without getting caught, their algorithms will hunt recently posted videos, copy the most successful seeming comments based on like ratios (100 likes in the first minute after posting? That one!). Then, they have bots that will IMMEDIATELY like their comment, which boosts their comments to the top, and it buried the original comment.
So, people are looking at their comments, people who might fall for temptation see their picture and go to their profile to take a closer look and see a link, and they are hard to report because they get so many likes that it’s hard to flag or report them without tons of people reporting them.
So, when you go to like something, take a little glance at their profile pic. That’s usually all you need to see to realize it’s a p0rn bot. If you’re still suspicious and unsure, click it and see how long they have been on the platform. Most of them haven’t existed or last longer than a few months before they get banned. This one that I pointed out has existed for less than a month.
