I misspoke when talking about champagne. It is 4 fields PER champagne cellar.. 8 per cellar if it is electrified.
It's really interesting watching your own play style, and then watching you play like this, fixing, using a less "pretty" building style. I'm absolutely loving this series. I think you might be on to a great idea here - it looks like great fun fixing up "broken" worlds, they should include a few of these scenarios with the game!
Yeah it's really interesting going from my play style that I normally like to do and just trying to use more efficient means to fix things. if I had more time I would probably tear down most everything in that game and rebuild it with optimized layouts

Amounted to a lot of production out of balance and too many ships is all really.

Hi, a couple of questions if you happen to see this and feel like responding :) first, you have a massive amount of money in this save. I'm pretty new, and my current builld I have maybe 2 million so far :) I guess if I had that much money I wouldnt stress about being in the negative? How did you get up to that much?
Also, as I said, I'm new and have no DLCs yet. I've seen that same map layout, with the island chains in other videos by this poster. Is it a DLC map?

I find it very useful to make roundtrip routes, get 2 six slot ships and fill em with coal every island you got and unload at steelworksisland, same with copper and copperworks island and with the finished produce reversed.

I play a bit differently but that's me. Once I unlock commuter piers I gather my resources from other islands and ship in everything to the main island to be made and if needed ship it to my smaller island. But this person has done a wonderful job in making so many islands work independently
Yeah that is the great thing about this game.... so many different ways of doing things!
So, these are players that are playing with no DLC's? Half the time I was like, why doesn't he just give them tractors for the fields? lol Then I realized, no Bright Harvest...
I tell you, after watching this, I don't feel as bad about my games, It is good to know, I am not the only one who creates disasters! LMAO

I've learned a lot of how to grow and use trade routes and I'm not even as far into the game at a 100 hours since I first got the game in 2019

Follow-up question...
Say you're producing wheat on one island for a total of three islands. Say island A requires 2 tons, island B requires 1 ton and island C requires 5 tons. We know we need to produce a total of 8 tons on the island. But how do you know how to split the number of individual units to the islands? Like how many do you keep on island A? How many do you drop off at island B and C?
I usually drop off 3-4x the amount needed per minute on a route at each destination and then adjust as needed from there. It isn't an exact science really... just a bit of trial and error until you kind of just "know" what to do.
How did you get rid of the factories without getting rid of the houses? You used CTRL or SHIFT or something? I saw you highlighted a huge lot at once haha
If you select the bulldoze tool, left click and hold DOWN on a factory, then just drag across the island... don't release the left mouse button. It will destroy all buildings of the same type.

@@TakaCZcams i forgot to say that you're doing great job in this new fix episodes and in this game in general love your vids, and just saying i think nobody noticed in the last few small updates of anno1800 they made Margret hunt so cruel she builds more than 2 big betty in each island, because all of anno 1800 vids online are a year ago and 4 months ago nobody found this thing unless you played against hunt recvently. keep up the good vids buddy and keep rockin :). Huh. So each island doesn't need it's own workforce? Had assumed they were localized. (sewing machine island with no homes)
You get free workforce as a bonus reward from the Expansion Influence category... up to 200 of each tier. Commuter piers also allow you to share workforce between islands.
Is it prudent to just build new transport ships and replace all the sailing ships?
I like to replace all regional routes (NW to OW and so on) with cargo ships. Trade routes within the region... just depends on what I need moved around and how much.
"you don't need a weapons plant" - true lol, I built them cause it was needed to build my frigates. Apparently it's used for that.
Yes but you have no one to attack hehe... maybe a few for quests from Archie that are needed to destroy something. Other than that, you are in a purely peaceful game

He was basically take out any article that increase consumption
