    Thanks for showing the flaw and fixing it. These other vides show you something that’s perfect and I’m like mine is not like that. Now I understand how to pivot and fix issues.

    Brand new to sublimation, but I've been tearing and still getting some press lines (my husband says they are fine but they bother me 😅), so I REALLY appreciate your tips!

    Thank you for sharing. I am new to sublimation and have tried using pressing pillows, tearing my designs and will also try placing the back of my shirts under the bottom platen to avoid using more butcher paper or blow outs. I have been searching for a silicone sheet versus parchment, or butcher paper because they scorch at high temps and teflon sticks to my upper platen. I am using trial and error right now before I turn this into a business.

    Sublimation on white polyester can be very frustrating. With the press lines, scorching, ghosting, and lint marks, it makes for a tedious process. My main thing is the marks or little stains i always find

    Hello Karley!! Sorry to bother. I’m a fashion student and as project I was thinking of making a pattern on a top by using this technique! Can you tell me if I stress the shirt the image I printed will crack or its more like its printer deep into the fabric? Thank you so much!!

    I am getting the full yellow press mark across my garments. I have the htvront press so I can't adjust the pressure but I have tried subbing on 400 for 60 and 385 for 45 and just recently I even did 380 for 35 and still am getting the scorching. What am I doing wrong? I have tried it with butcher paper and teflon. papers in between and also on top of shirt. some are 100% cotton and others 50% poly and 50% cotton. also my blacks do not look that dark at all. is there a trick to getting them that way? I have the epson 8550. Any and all advice would be appreciated! TIA

      @SimplybeingR Před rokem

      Maybe your htvront has too much pressure and is scorching. I would suggest a mat with a bit less cushioning to see if that helps or possibly a pressing pillow just to see if that could change things. Hope it gets better...I know that has to be frustrating 😒

    If there are pressmarks, will they get washed out or eventually go away?

    • @KarleyHall
      @KarleyHall  Před rokem

      It largely depends on the material and the severity of the press marks. In this case, they probably would have washed out since they were more like creased and not burnt/ melted fibers.

      Thanks for the feedback. Since my tutorials are FREE, I don’t get paid enough to be able to afford new lighting 😅😅

    I've been going crazy trying to start my business. Living on a fixed income and then on 2020 the x of my son dropped of my then 2 month old granddaughter while he was in jail, and now I'm desperately trying to level myself and can't seem to come up. I'll be getting my granddaughter in custody soon, so hoping and praying that from whatever I'll start receiving on her end can catapult me to something. If you can plz send me any info about starting off, would be highly much appreciated. 🙏 This Christmas dk if even I can get a tree for her or presence at that. She's 2 now 🫤 Thank God she still doesn't know nothing. Her bday was Sep and got her at least a cloth set. With no cake 🙄 but let's just continue thinking better days will be ahead 🙏

      I'm so sorry you are going through all of this! You sound very busy, so I would recommend starting slowly. The biggest mistake I see people make is that they think they need to go and buy a whole bunch of stuff to get started and burn out. Really, knowledge is your biggest resource. Spend time trying to figure out what you will sell before you buy anything. What type of shirts or sweatshirts do you want? Figure out what that will cost. What designs do you plan to use? Figure out if you are going to make your own designs or purchase commercial licenses. Then figure out if sublimation is what you want to do. You may be better off purchasing transfers from "Transfer Express" or "613 Originals" so that you are not physically doing everything. Then you can press them onto your shirts. So instead of needing a printer, you may just need a good heat press. Feel free to reach out if you need more assistance-- my business is largely run from ad revenue and not product sales so I may not be the best at business advice in that realm, but I have successfully supported my family with this business since 2019 so it is definitely possible!
