For those that do not have a heat press machine, but use a Cricut easy press or similar, *instead of pressing your project on a heat press mat, press on a cutting board.* Because of the solid or stiffness of the board, the necessary firm pressure can be applied to prevent wrinkles on the puff vinyl.
THANKS!!!
I can't wait to try this!! Thank you for the tip!! 😀
Omg, thank you! I will be trying this today!
Great tip! Thank you!
Thanks so much for the tip. I was upset because I didn't think I would be able to use the puff vinyl since I only had a heat press 2. The other day I was thinking if I put parchment paper on the table would it give me the pressure I needed. However, your idea was way better. Thanks again for solving the puff vinyl issue. I can't wait to try it!
I love your shirts. I just started working with Puff vinyl and I am excited. Thanks for sharing.
They both look great! Thanks for sharing your tips.
Loving all of your videos! I agree siser is the top answer to the best result, but finding the perfect temp and FIRM pressure is a yes for me! I do use a pressing pillow for kids or anything with seams. Appreciate your hard work on these, I immediately watch when I see an upload!
Thank you so much for watching my videos! It means so much! 💗 I'll have to try the pressing pillow for kids shirts. I felt like the puff on the kid shirt wasn't completely smooth like the neon one, and I think that was the reason why.
Great explanation 😊
Thank you so much for this video! I have used puff vinyl and it was wrinkly. I will definitely give your advice a try. 😊
Of course! Thank you for watching, I hope it helps! :)
Thank you
Good video. I must try this.
Thank you!! It is fun!
I like the wrinkled look because it gives the shirt a "faux chenille" look!
I have never tried the puff HTV. Now I want to try it.
It is SO fun! 😀
If this has already been asked, I apologize but can you use a regular clothes iron on it. I forgot to say, "Thank you for the great tips."
Do you have the HTVRont Heat press? Have you tried puff vinyl on it? Most of the ones I’ve tried on it come out wrinkled. Any tips appreciated!!
What heat press are you using? How do you like it?
What setting are you cutting out the puff vinyl? Love the shirt
I just used the everyday iron on setting and it worked really well! Thank you! 🤍
I thought it was supposed to be that wrinkly textured feel 😂 I must try again with pressing on a board because I only have a handheld press 👍
I tried the easy press 2 with it and it became really wrinkled. HOWEVER - it still looked cool - it also felt like a rubber velvet texture rather than a regular velvet. (I didn't like the feeling lol and I don't like velvet either xD)
How do you like your MPress heat press? Have been looking at them scared of making the wrong choice. Love your channel and I trust your judgement.
I have the same press and I like it! I bought mine second hand and it’s in great shape still.
I love my MPress! I do sometimes wish I had a swing away press. It would make it easier to line up the vinyl. I have never had issues with my MPress though, it works really well!
I had to press the puff I had, which is 3d puff at 280 for 30 seconds and I have to put a piece of sturdy wood under to get mine to puff but turned out good
Thanks for the tips! Was that using a heat press or the Cricut Easy Press?
Htvront heat press
haha when you got the update "ooops"
Can you please make a tutorial again using the cricut joy😊
I tend to forget about my Cricut Joy 😂I can definitely try to use it in some of my videos though!
@@KaylasCricutCreations thank you I just got a cricut joy I also have a air 2
@@nicholasshaw3211 I do love my Cricut joy! With the size it’s easy to quickly put something together!
Hey,,, my puff is still getting textured, if any advice please am fed up
Hi! If you've already tried the tips from the video, I wonder if it's the brand of Puff HTV you're using. I feel like some are better than others.
I just finished watching another tutorial and he preheated his material, pulling all the moisture out of the shirt. It helped him a ton to smooth out the puff vinyl. Since I found that video after my vinyl wrinkled, I went over my design a few more times in short intervals and it cleaned up some of the wrinkles.
Hi Kayla: Yesterday I did three different shirts with three different colors of Hobby Lobby puff htv. The first shirt (blue puff htv) turned out great. The other two shirts were terrible (one using pink puff htv and the other was yellow). The shirts were the same as well as the temperature and time. I used my heat press. The puff htv on these two shirts wrinkled unbelievably. The yellow wrinkled and started peeling up. The pink wrinkled very badly. I don't understand why. I'm wondering if maybe the pink and yellow puff htv are bad. The shirts are ruined as the htv left a yellow residue of the design on the shirt. I wanted to get your thoughts and/or suggestions. Thanks in advance!
I bought the red htv puff from Hobby Lobby today and I have increased & decreased the settings and my vinyl always came out wrinkled.
Thank you for your comment. I returned the both the pink and yellow to Hobby Lobby. They kept telling me that my heat was too high, but they did let me return it. Thanks again!@@Chacolite
@@carollewis1644 , I will attempt to return mine tomorrow as well. Again, thank you!
Good. It is weird though. The blue puff htv worked really well, but it was the first shirt I did out of the three shirts. I'm going to try the Siser Puff HTV next. Hope it works well.
Honestly I think it’s the brand. I had the same problem with the pink.
I put a pressing pillow inside when I press smaller shirts
