Melissa! Binging on your videos and learning about foiling. I'm ready to get my first heat press! I'm wondering, the small pink heat press you have, is that big enough for me to start foiling 8.5x11" sticker sheets? Or do you recommend I just jump up to the larger one? Thank you for your videos, and for your help!
The small craft press it's 9x12 so you could fit an 8.5x11 sheet on there, but for there are 15" heat presses available, like this one. shrsl.com/3rvi3 It's bigger and less expensive so might be worth considering
Thank you for this! But should I do the paper test WITH the blanks I'll be using? Like, should I put a tshirt in the press while doing the pressure test because I feel that if I do the pressure test without a shirt, it would automatically make it heavy when I add the shirt?
I would only do that if you're pressing something that is thicker like wood.
I’ve been told to use 3-4 bar pressure.. what is that? Firm? Medium firm?
Thank you!! My next issue is that when I have it set to "high" pressure, the whole platten is too far down. So when I slide it over, it moves the whole shirt. How can I adjust the height of the platten?
Turn the knob on the back of the pressure handle to reduce the pressure.
Does this heat press deliver even pressure & heat across its platens? I hear that is extremely important especially when pressing white toner transfers.

Is there such a thing as too much pressure? As in it will bust the handle if there is too much pressure?
You won't be able to close it if there is too much pressure.
I have the same press (just came yesterday) and when I press the handle down, the back stem(?) (the part the knob is attached to) leans. Is this normal?
Probably shouldn't...see if there's a screw or a knob that needs to be tightened.
Are you adjusting with the clamp up ? I didn’t catch it.. I’m so overwhelmed… I’m trying to sub on polyester ribbon and keep getting ghosting

I have heat press nation signature auto open press. Even With a tight press this machine is easy to close. I guess because of the auto

I am desperate for help!! I have a i color550 white toner printer- every time i try to marry the A and B paper- The B paper constantly pulls the ink of the A paper. I have done the paper test to verify my pressure is correct- and without fail - it continues to happen- I dont know what i am doing wrong- i am pretty sure that i have the same press AS you do - The teal one!! i dont know what to do!!!
Could be a problem with the humidity in the room where you're storing the paper and printer.
Idk what I’m doing wrong but I bought sublimation printer and paper and my print out doesn’t transfer on anything. I do the timing time right and heat temp idk what I’m doing wrong maybe nob pressure not correct ?

What if I tighten it all the way, and there’s still a gap between the surfaces? Screw is busting through the top of the knob, and I can clamp it with ease. There’s a gap big enough to move a shirt around underneath

@@skylorewilson413 we’re you able to fix your pressure? I received my regular 15x15 but I am unable to adjust the pressure nothing changes as much as I move the knob!!!
@@yesseniaespinoza7490 I wasn’t but I do have the 15x15 heat press from heat press nation and pressure is really tight. I had to get my male cousin to loosen it but it still seems really tight. I struggle each time I open it. My table is almost broken. It’s that bad.
We've been looking at that exact heat press that you have. But, wow it has a nasty high pitch screech whenever you move the handle.
It's still a great press! :)
What about oiling it.Not anywhere that would touch your fabric or whatever you're pressing.......on the joint that is screeching. Oiling like a sewing machine or door hinges. Hope that makes sense!

I have a problem with this heat press it has uneven pressure its more on the back than the front. I have tried contacting swing design and they won't help me with my problem looking at your heat press I can see the problem between your heat press and mine I sent swing design pictures and I have gotten no help from them.. feels like a rip-off.
I just bought a heat press and it has uneven pressure. I'm not sure if there's a way to fix it or if I should return it.
I ended up buying a different one from heatpress nation and it's awesome. I still have this one but idk what to do with it..
@nadiava1553 I think I figured out why it's uneven on mine. The front part is what is off. But that longer part (IDK what it's called) that you turn the knob for the pressure isn't fully on. Underneath the press. The front isn't through the holes. I would need to Unbolt it but I'm gonna contact them to see what I should do.

I have bought 3 presses and none of them pass the paper test. I dont know why, they all can’t be horrible. I have adjusted the knob, tightened the screws 🤷♀️ My very first heat press passes the paper test no problem but it’s on its last leg.
I'd suggest reaching out to the companies you purchased the presses from to see if you can get it sorted out.
