This is great stuff. Pistols are frustrating. I know I have the strength, but the mobility, balance and agility have a room for improvement. These are great drills to help.

Great tips Paul. For me I would hold onto a fixed support for the eccentric and concentric, and then try lessening how much I'm holding on with my hands over time. This is a great exercise for highlighting imbalances in the hips and legs; my right side was weaker so as I tried to come up the straight leg would turn to the side. But lots of practice and the sides balance out.

Great video Paul, been thinking is there progressions like for the other moves. Is that you’re knee clicking every time you go into squat? My knee clicks like that 😮

Yeah 😂 my knees have clicked since I was a kid. I normally take the sound out of the vids but keeping it real on this one
I don't have a piece of wood. Can I just use some plates for elevation?
Yes definitely. Anything that raises the heel
