that lundell goal was weak, so was the third one going five hole. Swayman had good games but not so good ones as well.
Bruins fan here. While I am very disappointed with the result, I give major credit to the Panthers. They were the better team during this series. Congrats on the series win.

I’m a panthers fan and I don’t even feel accomplished for this win. The refs seemed to be on our side and as much as I love Bennetts physical play, his punch to Marchand was dumb and deserved a suspension. Respect to your team for trying to put up with it, I hope this next series is actually FLA vs NYR and not FLA (and refs) vs NYR lol
As a Panthers fan, Bruins were tough opponent. Even they dont have firepower so much but they are somehow always tough opponent. Swayman was insanely good. I think that Forsling goal was a bit soft and extremely critical, but you usually cant beat this Panthers team if you score just one goal. Bobrovski was at his best once again we really needed him. 🙏🏼

@@hunterdoran3459the problem with the "punch" is there was no call on the ice, Boston/Marchand already released statements that the hit was just "playoff hockey", until the NHL and DoPS got the angle then Boston changed their tune to "Bennett intentionally wanted to harm Marchand" when Marchand already said it wasn't dirty until the footage, and then Marchand gets interviewed and says "in playoffs hockey you intend to hurt the best players because that gives you an advantage. Every player is out to hurt someone. That's the dirty secret of playoff hockey." Paraphrasing but that was the jist of it. Marchand with 28 suspensions, over 1.5 million in fines, and one of the higher pim in the game shot himself in the foot with saying all of that stuff. I mean so did Montgomery.

We had no business reaching game 6! Swayman literally carried us. We just couldn’t create chances. We couldn’t get it going since game 2! Credit to the panthers.
You guys had no business in the 2nd round 😂 the team is full of holes…what’s good about the bruins is that players buy into the system and they have heart, but the team is lacking offence defence and even though swayman is a great goalie he only has 2 wins and like 8 losses in elimination games maybe more…it’s either he’s young or just one of those goalies who can’t make the save they need.

As a Panthers fan, and Bruins hater, i have to give credit to Bruins. They are always one of the toughest opponent to Florida. Even when their biggest star Pastrnak plays like a 10-year old and there is not so much firepower in offence. They are still always so hard to play against. Swayman really gave them chance in this series. He was like '23 Bobrovski

Far too many haters and trolls. Social media has not been a good thing, for the most part. I'm glad I witnessed a brief conversation between 2 fans of opposite teams. What I saw in this series: Swayman was effective with team's defense close to the goal, while Florida allowed jams in their zone from pressure and Bob had to save.

Let's be completely real here, the harsh reality is, both the Leafs and Bruins didn't stand a chance against the Panthers either way regardless who won the first round... Florida is way too good for both of them. Leafs were gonna get swept, the Bruins were completely outshot for a few of the games, and 8:54... that embarrassing goal that swayman let in that blew their chances looked very similar to Samsonov's carelessness ☠️
Let's not kid ourselves here. The Leafs have the better shot against Florida than the Bruins. Bruins simply aren't tough enough.
It made no difference who played Florida as Bettman had already decided Florida was moving on. You can always tell by what they do and don't call ("miss") every series. Boston got away with ALOT in round 1 and Florida got away with even more in round 2.

@TheYamahog12 You just answered your own question. Certain teams, like the original 6, already have a solid fanbase and will continue bringing in money, win or lose. Teams, like Florida, only have fans when they're winning. Same thing happened when Pittsburgh was extremely close to leaving, they suddenly won the cup. There's a number of reasons why a specific team would be given the cup and more often then not, it's based around money.

Every series of the second round has been "edge of the seat" action. Thank you Boston for some great hockey, controversy, Bennett's bullshit, Marchand's trolling, Montour sticking his tongue out and hitting Marchand with the Ric Flair Wooooo, and the goaltending.

(Bennett) plays hard,” he said. “He’s an extremely physical player, great player for the group. I think he got away with a shot. But I’m not going to complain. S- happens. That’s part of especially playoff hockey. I’ve been on the other side of a lot of plays. I think he got away with one. But that’s part of the game and definitely part of playoff hockey.” And Montgomery had no problem with the hit and saying it shouldn't change much to change their tune once the NHL and DoPS released the angle. But what came after when Marchand said "the secret to playoff hockey is hurting players and no one likes to talk about it but the point of playoff hockey is to hurt as many of the other team as possible to give your own team an advantage." So yeah hearing that was hard and then hearing he's the dirtiest player in the league with 28 suspensions, 1.5 million USD in fines, and over 1,000 pim.
Not a good goal for Swayman to give up, but you really can't blame him for losing the series. Felt like the Bruins could not score more than 2 goals all series, same with the Toronto series. Hate to say it, but I think we need to trade Ullmark for more offensive firepower.

The growth we've seen from Sway just in the last year is unreal. If Bruins can time it then they'll have another strong run in a few years.

@@anordman9659 There are a lot of good teams that only have one "good" goalie. And it's not like you'd get nothing in return for Ullmark. Perhaps a key offensive piece or two. Regardless, the point I was trying to make is that the Bruins lack offensively, and if you can't score, you're not going to go far in the playoffs. You may not even make the playoffs.
He’s basically the last person to be blame. The Panthers bullied the Bruins for most of the series and he was the sole reason why this didn’t end in five games. As for this game, the Panthers had total control of the game in the third period and something was bound to go in. Florida earned and deserved this win

Swayman was a beast in this series, a savage! (Hockey players are creatures of habit) Any time a Florida player had a clean shot? They all shot glove-side? I played myself for 10 years on a decent level (non-pro) as a player, you usually hear through the grapevine, where the goaltender’s weaknesses are. Swayman has the best glove I’ve ever seen playing hockey or watching NHL hockey and yet all the Florida players tried scoring on him glove-slide? I was screaming at the TV, “shoot blocker side!” Swayman is one Hell of a professional goaltender!
I'm a fan of Paul Maurice since his stint with Winnipeg Jets. Way to go Panthers.
