Nah, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned because just now, a guy who I was about to get serious with, treated me awfully and didn’t have the dignity or balls to apologise properly AND ghosted me/actively ignored me after saying he valued communication and didn’t like it when people ignored him for no reason. So what did I do? I signed his phone number up to a load of things and found his Instagram and the Instagram of his side business and made sure to let people know to stay away from him and not trust him because of the psychotic and manipulative behaviours he displayed towards me and that he was a habitual liar once I started putting pieces together. Hope karma gets people like this ✨

My ex bf’s step mom was the same with me. She loved me and ended up divorcing his dad right after. Idk if it was because she noticed similarities in their behavior and started looking, or came across it another way (I heard rumors that his dad was cheating too)… but she’s very happily married now. His bio mom AND his dad helped him gaslight me though saying I was too codependent and that I was being crazy. And I was a late teen and dumb af. My parents basically have a fairy tale backstory and I was a big reader, so I wasn’t weary to start with and didn’t overthink anything. Met my now husband a year after breaking up with him (for putting his hands on me when I caught him cheating with someone his mother insisted was just his childhood friend), and he’s been stalking me ever since on social media. If I block him he makes a new page. His current gf popped up in my recommended recently and I said a quick prayer for the girl cause if he’s still watching me he hasn’t changed a bit. I don’t wanna involve myself or start drama by warning her (she probably wouldn’t listen anyway), but I wish her luck cause she’s gonna need it.
If cheaters put as much energy and effort into doing good that they do to support their bad behavior, they would change the world! Working so hard to do good as you do at doing bad this world would be an absolute Utopia.

I super love that the cheater's mom in the last story was so lovely to the girlfriend and was all about getting after her son for his awful behavior. And the girl telling the story was super understanding throughout it. How could you cheat on someone so lovely and hurt your lovely mom like that??
People who are condemning the first girl for not just leaving him don’t realize how emotional abuse or manipulation can make you feel like you’re the one who is crazy. The good times are really good because the manipulative partner feels guilty, and that can cause a lot of confusion. They make you feel like you’re the crazy one, and that they are doing a favor for staying with you through subliminal messaging from their actions. It’s easier to see all the red flags in hind sight, when you list all the proof together. It is harder to see when you’re in the thick of it. I only realized how emotionally manipulative my guy was when I got some distance from him. I knew that something he was doing felt wrong, but it was hard to put a finger on what, and I had fully thought that I was the problem because I’m big on self-reflection/improvement and had low self-esteem (which he made low throughout the relationship). When you’re only hearing the full story with all the proof laid out after they figured it out through extensive reflection, it’s easier to see why she should have left earlier. Poor girl.
I agree. They don't start off being jerks on day one. I was with my ex 16 years, married for 15. I was constantly doing mental gymnastics, trying to believe him when it should have been obvious he cheated and lied throughout our marriage.
Only TODAY did I realize/remember that he never posted pics of us on his Facebook page. The only time he posted a pic of me was to make fun of me when I was at the hospital, very sick. I had pneumonia as a result of being trapped by a wildfire that surrounded our house before we had a chance to evacuate. The smoke inhalation early ended me, but our house was saved.
I fought the flames myself before the firefighters arrived, as I have my own fire hydrant and fire hose. It's incredibly hard to hang on to a fire hose on full blast, and I broke a rib trying. Seeing two fire engines emerge from that wall of flame, coming to save us, was the most beautiful sight!
My husband was at work, so he wasn't here during the fire. He posted to Facebook that if the house had burned down, it would have solved ALL his problems. Someone asked, "Wasn't your wife and her son inside the house?" "YES!" he answered, like I said, _ALL_ my problems!"
For me, our marriage ended at that precise moment. It took another 2 years for him to leave, but it was definitely over!
It's very common that people who don't ever counter natsistic people don't understand how gaslighting tactic nor love bombing works and not even that always protect because even meantal health counselor/ therapist/ psychotherapist can fel into those traps .

My ex said the same. No pics of us on social media, because he said: "I'm a private person, no one needs to know my business". There's a difference between private and secretive, sir. He wanted to be seen as single as there were many other women he was entertaining or wanted to entertain. He'd keep his phone facedown on silent. Wouldn't let me touch it, yet wanted to scroll through mine. Glad I'm out of that relationship. Blocked him everywhere and went no contact. He'd still try and "hoover" me by casually "being in the neighborhood" and ringing my doorbell, which I'd never answer if I saw him on my doorbell camera. Luckily, he hasn't tried that in over a year.
Not letting you see his phone but insisting in looking through yours is a big red flag right there that should have made you head for the hills away from him the first time he went through that BS. It's a good thing you got away from him. Maybe you need to swear out a PPO on him if he ever tries to "hoover" you some more or shows up on your doorstep again.

I got a liiiiiitle bit of retribution against a serial cheater (I stupidly went back to him a couple years later, thibking he had changed. Nope, cheated a few more times and then assaulted me after breakup, trying to 'woo' or 'arouse' me without my consent).
I got a call from the other woman, who knew about me, but only as a friend (that he had described me as 'a little crazy' to, JUST as she had been described to me!) and she was asking if I knew where her BOYFRIEND was, since she knew we talked. And then I was like, "...wait. He's MY boyfriend, too???" And then she got pissed and physically found him, got him on the phone with me to tear verbally into him while she forced him to apologize to both of us.
That was therapeutic.
Once a cheater, always a cheater. You can take that to the bank.

For someone saying she has abandonment issues she sure does isolate herself.
It’s actually pretty common for abandonment issues - because you are terrified that someone will abandon you, so in your mind, it becomes “they WILL abandon me”, so you start getting into the mindset of “well, if they’re gonna, I might as well…” and it turns into a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I’m not saying it’s GOOD, or OKAY … but it IS very common.

I can't understand cheaters. I'm with my husband over 15 years (7 married) and we've been through a lot. Of course our relationship has changed over those years. Sex is still good but not as often as at the beginning (we have a 6 year old daughter and both work so we are constantly tired 😉). But it never crossed my mind to cheat on him. Not even once. I don't know how people can do it. If you're unhappy in your relationship just break up and then look for another partner...

I told my last boyfriend from the beginning of the relationship that if I felt the slightest sense of suspicion, I would leave him no questions asked. He didn't believe me until I found him "talking" to a mutual girl friend in a coincidentally dark place. I didn't even let them talk, I broke up with him. The fact that they both didn't feel the need to explain anything to me, confirmed that they had something going on. Months later I started dating a really cute guy who turned out to be his cousin.

If you had your boyfriend coming to you, breaking up with you without explaining why, wouldn't you try to talk to him when you know you haven't done anything to provoke that? That's what I mean when I say they didn't explain anything.
I trusted them both, but my peace and tranquility is above that. I'm not going to be prolonging a relationship after having found them in a dark place where coincidentally the two of them were in what seemed like a conversation that was too intimate for two people who know each other through another. Yep. True. I ran a battered women's shelter for 25 years and most , not all , but most parents/family members protect and cover the abusers. Whether the abuser is male or female. Lot's of same sex relationships as well.
It's very sad, however, it's good for any person while they are young to not put up with abuse ever. Their life will be better.
I’ve witnessed the complete opposite. There are good moms out there. She still loved her son but she even told the police where he was hiding. 🤣 To this day the grandparents have a good relationship with the children that came out of that relationship but I don’t think the actual father does. Remember.. there is still good people out there. 😍
Relationship pettiness doesnt fly with me as a parent. As a mom, my job is to teach my sons how to be responsible adults. Unfortunately, parents are not their only influences so i've also taught my sons to leave me out of their relationship problems. Holding them accountable would be to allow them to work out their own problems, not fix it for them. If you know me, you know i taught mine better than to waste time and to treat women how they would have their mother treated. If there was any issue in THEIR relationship, THEY are the only ones that can work it out.
Okay, this is purely out of selfishness, lets say that you raise your child well like you said, but then find out to a high degree that theres a part of his life that is not amazing. As a mother, wouldn't you be concerned about them and want to communicate on it? To make sure if they're okay. I'm young, but me personally, from what I've learned and experienced, my biggest fear would be my child getting into trouble and breathing his last breath without truly seeing them grow... . I genuinely feel like most parents feel accountable and responsible for their child. Especially after they've been hurt or hurt others. 🤷
I was talking to my sister today, to wish her a Merry Christmas, and she mentioned that her youngest son and his wife were evidently having a big fight. because they weren't going to my sister's for Christmas dinner. Good parents raise their children to be prepared for everything that can come their way. We teach and, when possible, arm our children with all the tools necessary to make good choices. With that being said, they are responsible for their own choices and actions. I am only there to guide and support. If they fall on their butts, we give them cushion. If they succeed, we're their biggest cheerleaders. They know that, and what they do with that knowledge is up to them.

I made my cheater ex tell his parents in graphic detail about his cheating. Not because they would freak out etc, but because I knew that was the only way he would feel any sense of shame about what he did. He felt no shame about it prior, or at least not to the level I would have expected, but telling his parents and having such absolute disgust and disappointment directed towards him made him absolutely squirm.
I know we all make mistakes or mess up with things but usually that doesn't involve hurting other people. If your actions hurt someone else and you are too embarrassed for other people to know about them then you shouldn't have done it, otherwise, own it.

My late wife wanted to look at my phone one day, when we had guests over. She asked why my phone was passworded. She knew the password, so she could actually access it, she just didn't understand why I had a password.
So I said, "it is for times like today, when the guys come over. If I go to the bathroom, and my phone wasn't locked, one of this lot would find it funny to post a joke social media status update in order to try to embarrass me."
They pretty much in unison nodded their heads and said that they would totally do that. :P

Lil tip. A lot of people get weird about their phones because theyve walked the path of abusive childhood or previous abusive relationship, where moving in the shadows is the ONLY way to survive/stay out of harms way. I tried the whole "tell their mom" thing, and it didn't work. I wasn't cheated on or physically abused, but I've been mentally and emotionally abused for years. He admitted to intentionally be awful to me while arguing before even getting engaged. The man admitted to setting that as his intention for the rest of our lives. He didn't tell me that, obviously. Anyway, his mom supported him, and she's a "therapist" at that. I don't know how delusional you have to be to be to believe stuff she did..

My husband and I have been married for 18+ years, and we use one another’s phone for like remotes or music, we leave our phones by one another at times when charging or something, we forget our phones all over the house all the time, and we give off absolute no weird vibes about it.
We do not snoop, and we do not give of any weird vibes. He never looks through my phone and I never look through his. We even get constant texts from friends and coworkers, but our friends are all appropriate friends. You know?
This is what you should look for in a good relationship, my friends. Nothing less will do. You deserve it.
