#2 Was a combination that Mike Tyson often used in the peek-a-boo style. He was very short and his arms were short as well. That first step (after the lead jab) had to land outside of the opponent's foot so that the hooks to the body would land beautifully. Pay attention to your footwork folks!

If you don't have anyone to assist with mitts, tie a string or rope from two points at your head height and use that as a reference point to practice slipping. It's a really natural combo, just get your reps in.

But with that right you slip the jab if done properly. The left (for me would be a hook while stepping to the right. I would then send a straight to the lower rib then shuffle left with a slight head tilt and send my head left hook. Do you agree? I would love to hear your input

Another great video for fighters, thanks Tony. I might start using that jab, slip bang bang. I usually skip the jab part but I can see the value in adding it.
My favourite combo is actually really simple. It's just a long left jab (through the feet) that taps their glove out of the way on the way through. Once that connects (eight times out of ten it does) you can now flow into a flurry of punches depending on where they go from there. The beauty of this simple deflecting jab is they usually lose sight and a bit of structure which presents you with an easier follow up set of targets.

Thanks Tony, I just got home from sparing I successfully landed the second variation of the first combo. It was great to watch old mate react to the set up!
I'm fairly new to the sport, I'm fairly aggressive in my style and like to keep an awkward distance to hold the pressure on my opponent. I'm finding I am getting caught out throwing to many punches then countered when I'm on the attack. When I have an apponent backed up on the rope can you suggest some combos that will let me open up some attacks with escapes?
    Thanks from Australia, Craig.

Well i am a street fighter (forced to self defence). For me the 1,2,1,1and then 2 to the belly is the best. Then just indiscriminately beat him when he is cathing the breath. Or 1,1,2,then left hook(3) to the liver. Believe me,if you hit the liver, you will feel tension that he might die(i knocked one dude,i wsnt happy at all, i was afraid that i have done something bad). And after the combo, its better to run as fast as possible. The others may have knife or sticks

Ussually they dont come in groups at first so if you are good at boxing, try to knock one out, others will either try to take care of his friend,or jump at you. Then aim their groins or solar plexus. And again,if theres more than five just run,no martial art will help u

Tony, I really like the fast jab- slip- body- head, going to practice that. One issue I notice I've been having in my bag work is that my arm/elbow consistently looks low on the hooks (both lead and power hand). Any recommendations for throwing better hooks?
