That's a real trip down memory lane. Thanks! 40 years ago I was a 3rd Dan TaeKwonDo student/teacher and would do most of those in a given week. Now I'm 70 and yet never a day goes by that I don't reminisce on these. I stopped because I had 3 collapsed lungs over 2 years, and couldn't maintain the pace.

That diagonal kick is especially hard to master. It's not a natural movement for the hip & knee. Of course, they all take much effort & practice to master. Demonstrating the entire list is very impressive. Most impressive of all is Mr. Everlast. He stood up to all the punishment!

Diagonal Kick was the kick that I never thought i'd master, as a colour belt I hated it but when I started teaching I had to get good at it and now I love it, but it was a long process, thanks for the compliment

@@HOVTangSooDo Thats why if I were to train in an eastern striking style of traditional martial arts, it would be TSD. They seem to encompass everything. The power and structural curriculum of Japan, the fluid beauty of China and the relaxed efficiency of Korea all in one style. And this is coming from an MMA trained BJJ purple belt. Like BJJ, TSD will keep you busy in addition to it being an effective martial art. Sad its not very readily available in my area. The closest school is 3 hours away.

Very nice job! As a fellow Tang Soo do practitioner I appreciate seeing someone put in the kind of practice you have to be able to do the kicks as well as you did. I started in WTSDA ( when I was 20 and in my 30 years I've been able to improve tremendously on my kicks and generate more power by doing one little adjustment "Chambering". Not in WTSDA anymore but that's a different story and just chose a different route no biggie.
I'm a huge fan of kicks and was able to take my I/O crescent kick to a new level and if was to give you any advice on these techniques it would to chamber the knee of your kicking leg longer than you did in the video. If you are kicking with right foot lead with the right shoulder as you spin, lifting your right knee high bent with your foot straight down as you come around and then snap the right foot out at your target catching it with the knife edge of your foot. Using your whole body in your kick because the last action that happens is your kick coming out. When I first learned this kick it was with a straight leg and I noticed pain in my hips and knee when I would hit a heavy bag. Not anymore as my head, shoulder, then knee is leading me and it's not a solid leg (like a wheel kick) coming out it's a whip! Speed and technique equals power not a baseball bat.
Nice job though Sir Tang Soo!!!

@@connorlilley2577 is there a difference between the two styles as far as like, tang soo you typically kick with the ball of your foot. Is Tai Kwan Doo similar in that way? I originally took Tai Kwan Do, but I was very very young, and thankfully my parents realized I was in a "buy your belt" type place. So at 6 years old I started Tang Soo Do with Master Ted Perian and around 11 years old I was tested, initiated, and had earned my 1st degree Dan under Grandmaster Dominic Giacobbe. I miss it dearly, I'm 35 now and haven't trained in years.
